Excellent portable speaker
I loved the Beats Pill from the first use. Despite its compact size, it has a powerful sound, with deep and clear bass, ideal for listening to music anywhere. The audio quality is very good for such a small speaker.Bluetooth connectivity is fast and stable, and the battery lasts a long time, perfect for carrying it on outings or trips. In addition, its modern and minimalist design makes it look great in any space. The best:âï¸ Good volume and powerful bassâï¸ Easy to connect via Bluetoothâï¸ Ideal size to take everywhereâï¸ Attractive and well-built designâï¸ Good battery lifeTo take into account:â It is not water resistant (care for it outdoors)â The load could be fasterIf you’re looking for a portable speaker with style, good sound and reliability, the Beats Pill is an excellent choice. Highly recommended!

Sounds great, holds a charge for a long time
I bought this for my GF after our original Sonos Roam bit the dust. I’ve used some beats wireless in-ear buds before, but have otherwise stayed away from the brand. I picked this one because the reviews were really good, and it seemed like a good value for the money. I’m not at all a fan of Kim K, but chose this to get a different color scheme that would fit nicely and be unique. After several uses I do actually believe this unit sound better than the aforementioned Sonos Roam, and it seems like it can be played louder with more clarity. The connectivity is great and reliable.

Used Beats Pill 2024 still great.
I bought this used in “acceptable” condition, with no description as to actual condition. The previous two “acceptable” ones came with somewhat minor dents, but no original packaging, charge cord, or instructions. One of them smelled like something like Febreeze had been sprayed or rubbed on it. This one, the cheapest I have seen in this color, has no discernible scratches or dents and looks new, , arrived in the original, but extremely taped box, and had cord, instructions, and stickers. Jackpot! It should have been classified as “very good” or even, “like new.” It sounds great, with movie theater very present bass sound. A little weak in the midrange when quiet or loud, but may be fixable in firmware, as may connectivity issues. As has been noted in other user reviews, it gets disconnected rather frequently for no discernible reason, is hard to maintain in paired modes for this reason, and makes a rather loud noise when turning on and off. One reviewing site reviewer downgraded it for having to hold the on /off button too long to turn it on and off. 2 or 3 seconds is too long? This is actually a great design feature that keeps it from accidentally turning off or on while in a bag or backpack while taking camping or to the beach. To prevent dents in transit I suggest keeping the well-designed protective box. Though I suspect the dented speakers were dropped. None of the carrying cases designed for this version of the Beats Pill, that I have ordered, had any real padding. If the case is hard enough this may not matter, but one was easily mushable. I’m thinking of just using the box. The only case I’ve found with real padding, and a nicely hard shell, is the co2CREA Hard Travel Case Replacement for JBL Flip 6 FLIP 5 Waterproof Portable Bluetooth Speaker Case. (This can be found cheaply in Amazon Resale in like -new condition.). The Pill fits snugly in this, though it mushes down the divider, but still leaves room for the charging cable and a plug in charger. The original Pill colors: red, gold, and black, come with a black plastic charging cord. The Kim Kardashian Pills come with cords that match the Pill color, and cross-hatched fiber covering, which may be better quality than the black cords? They are stiffer! The main feature that I went with the Pill for is the “Lossless listening.” The ability to plug in the Pill directly to your device without having to use bluetooth. We have so much radiation already with wi-fi, phone, radio, and tv signals broadcasted all around us, I prefer not to have to add bluetooth to the mix. Plus the sound quality is better. Speakers that can use wi-fi also get better sound quality than bluetooth because of better bandwith.Though the Pill as yet has no online equalizer as other better quality speakers do, I find it does a great job adjusting to different kinds of audio, unlike say, an Echo Show 8, which has glorious stereo spatial audio sound, but has a hard time playing simple podcast and news talking voices understandably because of too heavy bass. But this can be adjusted with its online on speaker equalizer, lowering the bass to zero. The Pill automatically adjusts.

Truck driverâs perspective
First off, Iâm a truck driver (Freightliner). The stereos in my truck is garbage, so I wanted to get a better speaker. I was naturally drawn to the Beats Pill due to how easily it pairs with iPhone. Iâve got to say, Iâm blown away by the sound quality. This thing is LOUD. Truck cabs get super loud on the highway, this just about drowns it out. Not only is it loud, it sounds fantastic. You hear all the highs and lows, even in a loud truck cabin. The battery lasts a couple days, even when blasting it for 9 hours a day, and it takes no time at all for it to charge. Better yet, you can still use it while charging. Another thing that drew me to this particular speaker is that you can connect it to another Beats Pill for a stereo sound. I donât think thatâs necessary, but honestly, given how good the quality is, Iâm definitely considering it. I got this on sale for $100, and the value and performance are incredible. Even at $150, Iâd highly recommend this speaker, especially for truck drivers.

Great for the right price
I found this on a good sale for $100, and itâs definitely worth it at that price. It has good, clear sound with good bass, holds its charge for an eight hour shift when I bring it to work, charges out to my iPhone, connects with a USB-C cable and integrates well with my Mac. The design also just feels good in my hand.At the full price of $150, however, I feel like there are better options out there. The sound is good, but other speakers at a similar price would probably carry farther. Volume really impacts the battery, as I usually keep it down a bit to get through an eight-hour shift (which likely influences what I wrote above). Also, the instructions make an embarrassing omission about how to turn it off. (You have to hold the left button for about a second, something I had to learn through a web search.)Still, itâs a good little speaker thatâs worth what I paid for it. If youâre in the Apple ecosystem or you find it at a good price, then this is a great option. Otherwise, youâll want to consider all of your options. Personally, Iâm quite happy with mine.

Simple to use, very simple to pair within the Apple ecosystem, supporting iCloud pairing and simple initial pair. Can easily get battery information directly from device. AirPlay integration would have been welcome.Controls are simple, although take some practice to get used to. Power button controls both power and pairing. I do wish the Pill could be turned on with one touch of power button. I’ve yet to test the microphone/speaker function, but that’s a nice enough addition.I find the sound great, but I am no audiophile. I intend to use this speaker for what portable speakers are best designed for- travel, beach, patio, etc. It sounds excellent, even at moderate volume. The dual pairing function looks awesome, although not within my use case.Design is sleek and feels solid- but light enough for great portability. The soft touch silicone feels great, although I can foresee being a bit of a dirt magnet, at least on the champagne gold model. The lanyard is a welcome addition, but I do wish it was adjustable- unsure what the point of adding a lanyard is if it cannot be tightened/loosened. USB-C is a great addition, as is fast fuel.Battery life is rated at 24H. Based on early usage, I would believe this to be reasonably accurate. Unit drained about 10% listening to podcasts at ~50% volume.Overall positive first impression. Definitely not a cheap speaker, but you are buying this for the ecosystem integration, good sound, and excellent battery life. Price is pretty on par with similar quality speakers. Beats products are frequently discounted, so maybe wait for a sale.

I have had older versions of Beats Pill before. This model is definitely way better in terms of sound quality, bass power, and connectivity. A bit on the heavy side, which I actually donât mind at all as it needs to sit sturdy for the volume and the bass it projects. USB connectivity is handy when you need to minimize latency. I did find that sound quality dropped when used as Bluetooth speaker phone, but I think thatâs due to Bluetooth tech itself, as thatâs the case with all other Bluetooth audio devices.

Love the Beats Pill!!After trying a few models, this one stood out. Itâs super compact, easy to use, and delivers rich, high-quality sound. I use it for work, at home, and on outdoor adventures. The JBL Charge 5 had better battery life, but it was too bulky for my needs. If you want portability and rich sound, go with the Beats Pill! (Pill handed JBLâs ass for sound quality)

Wonderful sound! Bought this speaker during the last Prime sale, so saved a little bit on this. But let me just say, this speaker is worth every single penny. Easy to pair, great size, and the sound is amazing. I have 2 Bose speakers, and a few Monster speakers,, but this one, definitely sounds the best of them all. Next Prime sale, maybe I’ll buy another to link them for a stereo experience. 2 thumbs up for the Beats Pill.
