UPDATED:I was wrong. when I said “It’s a great hobbyists machine, but I think it’s some distance from being a work workstation yet”. It’s a great workstation, after the BIOS update provided by the Beelink support guys (mentioned in the old review) it’s been absolutely rock solid. It does anything I throw at it. I’m sure there are games that it can’t run and I don’t do video editing, but it runs multiple VM’s at once (A few on Virtual Box and afew on VMWare Workstation, all at once), it runs GNS3 and multiple notes at once it’s not had so much as a slight stutter for anything I’ve made it do. Once I had the BIOS update it was brilliant!It’s brilliant. If there were more I’d buy another one.OLD Review:So far the machine has been very reliable and can run most games that I have without a hitch. That said I don’t play a lot of games. I have had the machine switch off once and the support team are helping me through that (We’re trying to figure out exactly what happend) and I’ve been asked to clear the CMOS using a somewhat unusual three step process and then reinstall windows with the CMOS cleared. I have also found that the machine won’t boot a virtual machine. It just won’t boot the installation media, the VM reaches a certain point and then just stops. The same VM (Oracle VirtualBox) works just fine on other hardware, the same “installation media” (.iso file) works fine on other hardware, just on this little guy VM’s seem to be an issue (Which I’m sure I’ll work with the support team to get working). So, so far it hasn’t been an unbox and use experience, it reminds me a little of the eighties when I got myself an Atari PC and had to get interface cards and whatnot to be able to use various of the functions of the PC. This one seems to have a BIOS package which isn’t yet complete.That said, what it does do it does well and it’s very snappy. I’d happily use a Mini PC instead of the big rig with raid array and graphics card.

Perfect for me!
I bought this because I wanted pc for light gaming and basic internet searching/study purposes without spending upwards of 1k. I find this mini pc to be perfect for me and my needs! It has ran smoothly and is able to handle the main game I play which is the Resident Evil 2 remake without issue, so I am beyond happy. The fact it is smaller is another plus for me due to lack of underneath desk space that a normal bulky pc case would take up. The fans are relatively quiet but are noticeably louder whenever I am downloading a game or file which I consider self explanatory. Very pleased with this purchase and I recommend it to anyone who enjoys playing video games that aren’t too demanding in storage and graphics.

Well made and excellent value
Love the speed and I’m so glad this has the Ryzen CPU. The only issue and this was NOT caused by Beelink was that the Windows Pro started having usability issues where features just stopped working. I tried to reinstall but as Windows Pro was installed by Beelink, I couldn’t get a license key number for the reinstall. I’m summarizing my adventure here. 🙂 I wound up buying a copy of Windows Pro.I would suggest Beelink include the Windows licensing information either in the package or on their website but as I said, the Windows failure was likely me messing around with unsupported features, so the root cause was all me.I would also like to point out the vast array of I/O ports. Lots of USB’s including 2 USB C ports. Plenty of ways to plug in multiple monitors. And they include a headphone jack, yay! Very happy. 🙂

Open box item, had another user’s account logged into it
I bought this as a Christmas present for my mom. For some reason, Amazon thinks I bought the SER5 Pro, which I did not – I bought and received the EQR6 with dual HDMI ports. I bought this Nov 19.When I got it, I briefly opened the box to make sure all items were included but did not power it on as I assumed this was a new in box item.Upon powering it up today at her house, it powered on smoothly but when logging into Windows I was greeted with ‘Singh’s’ user account and the computer is basically unusable because I can’t log in and set it up for Mom.Now, upon going back to leave this review, I am assuming that the SKUs for these changed or something because Amazon now says that I bought the SER5 Pro, which only has 1 HDMI port. As you can see in the picture, Mom has dual monitor and she needs the extra port.I’m an IT professional so I will probably just end up reinstalling Windows on it from a boot drive, but this is really unacceptable and would have been a show stopper for my parents if I weren’t here. I shouldn’t have to open a brand new Christmas present and vet it before giving it to someone. Really steamed about this, this is the first and last computer I buy from Beelink or Amazon. RIDICULOUS.

Updated Review: Decided to keep the PC. Well made (except dead UCB-C). Inserted 2nd 1TB SSD, EASY.
UPDATE: After looking at options, decided to keep the PC, using adapters USB-A to USB-C and getting USB4 Hub. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The PC arrived in good shape and I got it up and going with no problems – Win 11 and several apps I use regularly. However, in transferring data from my current PC, I discovered the USB-C port on the front of the machine was dead – no response from the computer at all – no messages, etc. (I also learned from Google that the USB-4 port on the back takes the same plug as the USB-C, but the cables are not compatible). The USB 3.0 ports all worked well and the HDMI and Ethernet ports worked. My 1st thought was to go to Beelink Support, but found nothing at all helpful. My next stop was the Forums, and I found many posts with this same problem on various models. At that I point, I decided a computer with no USB-C port was not going to work for me. I called Amazon Support, and got excellent help confirming I was not doing something stupid, and setting up a return.

Sin ninguna fastidiosa presión mecánica que hacer.El tamaño me parece ideal. Mejor, en ese sentido, que el GTR7. Y curiosamente. Es más frÃo por dentro, el SER7. Según pruebas especializadas…La configuración es óptima. 32gb ram. 1tb almacenamiento.Me permite ponerle un m.2 de alta velocidad adicional.Y gracias a la generosa ram de stock. Puedo configurar la mini pc los gráficos a 8gb de vram. Y 24gb de ram para el sistema Windows. Una pasada…Un ejemplo;Juego forza motorsport 6 apex. Un juego D12 del 2016. El abuelo de todos lo Forza motorsport modernos. Un juego exquisito…Y para jugar este juegazo. Se recomienda, entre otros. Una GTX 970. Para 1080p @ 60fps.Una tarjeta gráfica muy buena todavÃa en el 2023. Y que, se supone es, más potente que la Radeon 780m integrada…Pues, oh sorpresa; juego a 1080p en ajustes ultra, dinámicos… A 60fps cómo una roca.En conclusión. La verdad desconfiaba del equipo, sin embargo con agrado puedo ver que valió la pena, lo utilizo yo para revisión de video, elaboración de escritos y también y la verdad no se batalla ni se alentó en su funcionamiento, lo que si es que para cuando se juega algunos juegos en linea ( solo entre semana unas tres horas) y los cuales asumo que están pesados, el ventilador trabaja bastante y se percibe el incrementó de temperatura sin embargo una solución dada es ponerle dos plumones para que quede mas alto y despejado el acceso de aire, de ahà en fuera muy buen equipo y lo recomiento.

This Mini PC consumes very little power and runs quietly; perfect for school, home office work and software development.The SER4 model is also capable of some light gaming. Xbox 360-era games should run ok at 1080p low/normal settings 30-60fps. If you can stomach 720p 25-30fps low/very low settings then most PS4-era games will be accessible to you. There are some tuning utilities that tweak the power and graphics clock speeds but these really don’t deliver much improvement and in my opinion are not worth bothering with.In general this Mini PC is quite well-optimised out-of-the-box. You might change the graphics frame-buffer size to 3 or 4 GB and tweak some fan settings in the BIOS but that’s about all I would recommend.* The unit I received had a very noisy fan that worsened as the Mini PC warmed up. It was immediately obvious there was something mechanically wrong with it. I got in touch with the seller who provided excellent customer support, organising a replacement part without any fuss. The replacement fan was delivered a couple of days later and was easy to fit. This solved the issue.If you have a problem don’t hesistate to reach out to their customer support using their Seller profile page. Click ‘Ask a Question’, when prompted click ‘An item for sale’, click ‘Others’ and leave a message to the seller. They can take up to 48 hours to respond but in my case I received assistance within 12 hours.
