When recording matters choose this camera
I bought 2 BOBLOV cameras, in January of 2023. I worked in private security and needed a dash camera and a body camera as I drove a roving patrol in an industrial/residential park. The body camera is only used when I make contact with a person so there is no confusion about what is said when I file my Daily Activity Reports. I don’t always need to turn the video in, but when there is an issue I can locate the short clips I need to show my employer. The camera will make video clips and will give you the option to set time limits on how long each clip is. I use the 5-minute setting because it is easier to find the segment you need and quickly email it with a report. I work with the body camera in the off position until I think Im going to need a video, then I turn it on to the stand-by position so it is ready when I talk to someone or need to record an incident. The camera takes the best photos no matter what the lighting conditions are. If there is no light the camera goes into infrared mode and takes very clean and clear black-and-white photos and video. My body camera has worked flawlessly for over 2 years now and I use it 5 to 7 days a week. The dash camera when set to dash mode will turn off and on, when starting the truck it turns on and when stopping the truck it turns off. A lighter socket operates the camera, so if you have a lighter socket that turns the power off and on with the switch you will get the same response I do. If you want the camera on all the time, you will need to use a normally on supply, for instance, my truck has two lighter sockets, one is always on and the other turns off and on the turning of the ignition key. My dash camera developed a clarity problem and I contacted support. They said it was repairable and asked me to send it back. Custom support said they would just send me a new one seeing as I was using it nightly. Before I even returned to the old one, the new one arrived within a few days.  I can’t say how many times these 2 cameras have come in handy and saved my bacon by capturing important interactions, from fleeing automobiles to getting tag numbers to recording rude and unruly personal contacts. I give the cameras 5 stars for flawless service and super photos. They take both video and single photos, which can be snapped even while recording video. I give the camera mounts 5 stars as well. The body camera magnetic mount is so strong it is hard to remove it from my vest sometimes. The windshield mount works well, I leave it mounted for weeks at a time only removing it to clean the windshield and the suction cup. Keeping the cup clean is very important to ensure a good mounting to the windshield. I can’t give customer service enough stars, they were courteous and easy to work with and I spoke to a person and not an AI system to solve my problem.  I strongly recommend these cameras and products if recording is important to your job.

Good quality civilian body camera
It works better than I thought it would when I bought it, honestly. It’s good for low-light recording with a decent night vision setting, as well as an automatic mode for it to turn on, though it’s really simple to swutch it manually. The audio is fairly good, the microphone seems really sensitive; it can hear whispering clearly, but also things that are a little loud for you in the moment are going to be extremely loud in the videos. It’s a little bulky and tends to lean forward in its own weight, so it would maybe do better on a mount as a dash-cam if you want it sitting still; otherwise it’s a good body camera. It connects to a computer via a USB-C cable, there’s no SD card or anything, all internal storage. It can run for about 9-10 consecutive hours before it dies, and only really needs to charge about an hour on a single use. It’s also fairly rugged. I haven’t tested if it’s water resistant, but I’ve taken it with me across 2,000 miles. It’s taken a few drops and bumps along the way and there’s not even a scratch on it and everything still works perfectly fine.
