Gold standard
Having worked for a coffee/bottled water vendor for 10 years I can say the VPR is the gold standard for multi-pot daily brewing. The one in our office is approaching 30 years! There is a reason they have been in use since the 50s.

The longevity of the unit
This is the second Bunn VPR unit we have had. We are heavy coffee drinkers (probably brew at least 3 pots per day) and the first one lasted us over 20 years! It has a commercial quality to it, evidenced by lasting for so long. It enhances the taste of coffee like no other pot we have used. It has a very deep basket and the water covers the coffee grounds for a longer period of time than other coffee pots. The brew time of the Bunn is phenomenal . . . very quick and we don’t have to stumble around in the mornings waiting for our first cup due to a lengthy brew time. It’s awesome!

Commercial quality at home!
We love coffee from Bunn brewers when we go out to eat, so we figured why not at home. Opted for the double burner on those really cold days or if we have to make enough for travel cups. Great buy!!

Truly the most impractical (and defective) home coffee maker in existence
Maybe youâre like me and wanted a commercial grade coffee maker for your homeâsomething that would just work effortlessly for decades and decades.This unit basically requires you to culture dirty water in the tank 24/7âitâs unclear if the reservoir is ever emptyâdisgusting.You have no idea how many things can go wrong brewing a pot of coffee until you buy this disaster. It cannot even operate without a second decanter (which I knew), because if you use the decanter to pour water into the reservoir, it immediately starts dripping onto the burner.Want to just run water through to clean? Make sure the coffee tray is installed, or water will literally spray outside and around the decanter.Every interaction with this thing is a booby trap, which I would have lived with if my unit was not ALSO DEFECTIVE.This brewer was in a house under renovation being used to provide coffee to contractors coming in and out, and in the middle of a discussion an installer points over my shoulder to the Bunn that had been dripping water out of one of the rubber feet onto a BRAND NEW FLOOR.Narrowly avoided a $5000 disaster at the hands of this machine. Avoid like your childrenâs health depends on it.

I bought this unit to replace one from 1984! Itâs basically the same unit, slightly thinner gauge metal. No back behind coffee pot like the old one had. Opening for water is now as well constructed. Old one was round and made of aluminum. New one is rectangular, closer to the right edge and made of plastic. Thereâs always a little water around the edges of the water inlet. Other than that a great unit so far.

We had to buy the stainless steel basket and a carafe without plastic mouth, we donât use their carafes bc of the plastic. But the deign is perfect and for us coffee lovers. Makes coffee quick and easy, AS LONG AS YOU REMEMBER TO SET IT UP COMPLETELY BEFORE YOU POUR THE WATER IN! Weâve all been initiated by this machine lol
