This camera has been great for school video class
Our school video club owns two of these and we have made a BUNCH of videos. We will probably use it for a couple more years.Even though your phone probably takes clearer video.The reason is that this camera has all the features needed for professional video production. All of these are essential for teaching pro-video:* It can be mounted on a tripod or a hand held stabilizing grip (like B00LKK99QA )* It has an external mic input* It has headphones out–> I would never buy a camera without these three features. <-- I use every one on every shoot.Even though the picture quality isn't ultra great, nobody has once complained about it. Most people watch our videos on their phones so I usually down-scale them, anyway, to stream better.I have one complaint -- the video screen is a little dim in the bright outdoors. I mostly shoot indoors but outdoor shoots have been a problem a few times. (I created a hood out of cardboard, LOL)It is not heavy duty. We haven't broken ours but I lecture the students about care of the equipment. The grip (I mention above) helps with a solid hold. I don't think it would survive a drop.

Bought mine used from a flea market at $90 with charger battery and Tripod, I like it but am interested in buying a lens cover and maybe some hdmi and av wires for it and another memory card as the one I have is old and small

when you say renewed it wasn’t.
The product was definitely used. Did not come with power cord. Mount where you attached a tripod was broke and threads were stripped.
