Very capable microphone
I use this microphone in combination with my Sony AX43 4K camera at a distance (in the top of the bleachers) to record our very talented band musicians. The microphone is very stout with a metal casing, optional 75 and 150 MHz selections and adjustable gain knob on the back which is appreciated. It snaps into a flexible mount and comes with the windsock and two different adapter cords one TRS and one TRRS as well as a safety lined foam case. Comica did a very good job on this microphone & packaging and is well worth the money.I highly recommend it! Its performance has left me nothing but happy and I would not bat an eye at buying another one for a dual set up.

Budget Shotgun Mic for Content creators!!!Worth the money!!
After a couple of researches, I think finally I found a good mic for my youtube videos. I already tried Rode mic for my youtube videos its good but I could see Comica VM20 provides much more clear cut and crisp audio with no noise pickup for indoor. This is easy to use, plug it straight into the camera for ready go situation. The bass frequency is better for its price but not best like Rode. Has an option to setup Audio level and display of battery life which are the best thing of Comica VM20.Has good battery life as well :). I have used this for outdoor but I could see it pick up noises when it’s too windy or in crowded places because the windshield is thinner. Other than that this mic is best and more for its price range. Recommend highly for studio shooting and indoor shoots and if you are a vlogger and want to do outdoor shoots can try this worth the money and budget-friendly.

Best Shotgun Mic
This is the best shotgun mic that I have ever owned! It competes with the big name brands, don’t sleep on Comica! Battery life is phenomenal on this thing. Absolutely no complaints after using this for over 2 years now!

Ridiculously Good for the Money
I wasn’t looking for a brand like “Comica” when browsing for a boom mic. However, I already own one of their lav mic systems that has been great overall. I needed a hyper-cardioid pattern to capture precise audio in a loud noisy factory setting. I was amazed when I A/B’d that signal with the camera’s built-in omni pattern! The isolation from even 6 feet away was outstanding & clear. I’m very excited to use it for interviews. The build quality is all metal, a smooth rotating gain control, LCD battery display, 2 high-pass filters, deadcat & foamy, legit carrying case… for $120?? I know their name isn’t industry-standard yet.. but I’m not ashamed to do fairly high-budget shoots with this.

Best Mic At the Price Point: “Better than Deity V-Mic D3 Pro & Rode Video Mic Pro”
Much like you I’ve been doing some deep research on DSLR shotgun microphones, the three that initially caught my eye were the “Deity V-Mic D3 Pro”, “Rode Video Mic Pro”, and this one the “Comica VM-20”. This mic was designed similarly to the D3 Pro and share all the same features, but the quality is far superior. Major difference that this microphone has in comparison to the D3 pro is that the D3 has more bass rolled off the end, leaving a very light and thin sounding audio recording. The VM-20 (This Mic) has a true flat response which is a plus and the only advantage the Rode Mic Pro may have over it is that the Rode Mic Pro has the bass frequency amplified to capture a warmer sound. Even with said, the VM-20(This Mic) still outperforms both it competitors having a clear and crisp sound in addition to that simple audio presets in your editing software can really make this mic sound like a beast and giving it just the right amount of warmth. Comica, a company that usually makes Sh*t products actually nailed this one!—Pros:-Built in battery: forget charging and buying AA batteries this one runs 40-60 hours per charge with its internal battery.-Flat Audio Profile: A good mic may not sound polished out of the box but allows you more control over the signal in post as this one does. It’s in good balance between being polished and truly flat audio.-Honest pricing: Unlike competitor brands (Rode, Shure, Deity, Etc.) Comica didn’t choose to inflate the price of this microphone even tho they manage to some how make a better product for once.—Cons:-The mounting plate came assembled incorrectly, see pictures for details and the simple solution. This is a common mistake at the manufactures level, employees not paying attention.-Windscreen could better, not bad but will buy an aftermarket solution.—Also very happy witht his seller, they manage to get this item to in under 12hrs!!!

Great value for the price.
I read some criticisms on the noise floor. It’s unfair when you consider the price, the sound quality and the overall value. Firsts you get a whole package. A great case, all the cables, foam and dead cat cover a good mic. clip but the best value aside from the insane batterie life is that great volume knob. I own a better shotgun mic. but I seldom use it since it is heavier and bigger. The pickup pattern is cardioid, not shotgun so you get less pickup from the back with good side sound reduction. being very light it fits better at the end of a boom pole even with a wireless transmitter attached. love that wireless setup. Try one you will not regret it. Mike.

It just stopped charging on the 2nd charge
The mic was working good then all of a sudden it wonât charge no matter what I try. And at the most inconvenient time. Iâve only had it for a couple months and a handful of uses.

After a few months of very sparse use, the âon/offâ button cracked and fell out, making it very difficult to switch on and off. Then it also stopped charging, so Iâm left with about 40% battery and no way to charge it. Will see how I can return it.
