Works perfect with DeWalt batteries it is the perfect router for hinges strike plates anything of that nature for the price I will be buying more just keep them set up with the right router bit in it so much easier

Well made, budget friendly cordless trim router that uses Makita 18V batteries.
I have had a larger, corded Craftsman router for decades. It has served me well, but the cord, and the size, of this old tool makes it less flexible in use. So, Iâve been on the lookout for smaller, cordless trim router for a while.This is a nice tool. It takes Makita 18V batteries to power (not included), which is what my other tools use. The speed is adjustable in 6 steps, from 10,000 up to 30,000 RPM, which is plenty fast for fine, finish work.The kit includes 6 basic bits, which cover most of the most common needs. The router is small and relatively lightweight, and has a convenient LED light to illuminate your work.In use, because the battery is on top of the router, itâs obviously top heavy. This isnât hard to manage, but honestly, I wouldnât use a battery larger/heavier than 2AH for any work that requires you to handhold the tool without support, especially if precision is required.There is no case, which is too bad (loses one star for this). I know this was probably done to keep the price down, but Iâd have paid a little more to get a bespoke case to hold the router and all bits/accessories.Overall, this is a budget friendly, well made alternative to OEM tools, like those made by Makita.Recommended

Inadequate operational instructions
The 7 page flyer that came with the router did not provide enough information to even install a bit. Also the wrench required to install a bit did not come with the router. I sent it back.
