Coffee Grinder and Brew in ONE step
This coffee pot is made for whole bean coffee, but there is also a button to bi-pass the grinder and use regular coffee grounds. As should be expected, it is a bit loud during the grinding process. Just be aware if you set the program to go off early morning.lol. We love the one-step process. Makes great coffee. Great value for the money!

Grinds and brews your coffee beans
Iâve had cuisinart coffee makers before and that is why I got this one. Love it as it makes great coffee, does grind and brew, itâs easy to clean up, and easy to set up.

It makes the best coffee, we love it
This is not the first one we have bought. We have hard water and even with cleaning after about 5 years we need to replace it. It makes the best coffee, we love it. The only problem we found is if you want to make a second pot, we normally only make one a day, you need to wash and dry grinder parts. If we do make a second pot I use a bean grinder and turn off the pot grinder. All of the coffee pot part are dishwasher safe.

Great coffee maker
I owned the older model of this coffee maker: DCC-1200P1 and had it for at least 15 years. It was awesome and was in love with it. I purchased this new model since it has a grinder in it and it’s a great brand. I like it and it’s very functional. Overall, I’m happy. 1. I wish the grinder allowed for different ground sizes. It’s just one setting, one size but it’s not a big deal as it makes great coffee. 2. I would move the 1-4 Cups button above the Program button. People use the 1-4 cups button more than the Program button so I wish it was on top so you would hit all 3 top buttons to get the coffee maker started. Right now, you have to hit 2 buttons on top and 1 down. Again, not a big deal but just a design improvement IMHO. Maybe I’m being OCDish. Lastly, once coffee is made, I noticed the coffee maker shuts off after 1 hour. I think the previous model used to remain on for 2/3 hours, if I recall correctly. Anyway, not a big deal at all on these. This is a very safe choice and a great coffee maker to go with across the board and I recommend it.

Alarm never stops!!!
While this unit makes good coffee it has two features that drive me crazy. I cannot find anything in the provided manual to remediate these issues. First there is an alarm for if it’s not set up completely. This means whenever I clean it it beeps non-stop. So if I want to soak the grinder parts I have to listen to never ending beeping. Second, it keeps some amount of moisture in the grinder which makes cleaning it every say essential. If there’s a way to shut off the alarm, I would be much happier.

So easy to have great tasting coffee
This is my second Cuisinart coffee maker and is just as easy to use. Hopefully this one will last as long (over 20 years my first one). Makes great tasting coffee, both from whole beans and ground. Only comment is there was no water filter in the filter holder

From zero to hero, depending….
There are things i really like about this unit…. charcoal water filter is nice for those of us on tap water (makes a difference). It looks nice and it brews well.BUT… it struggles to make a full pot without screwing up, unless you prefer weak diner-style coffee. The basket is either (a) not big enough, (b) poorly designed, or (c) both. For a 12 cup pot, ive had complete overflows (like, put onto the counter) at least 3 times and have had grounds in the pot at least a dozen times. Water delivery is too fast which makes grounds overflow the “lid” of the basket (made that way because of the grinder aspect) if there is an appropriate amount of coffee (1 scoop per cup).Additionally, the grinder works ok, but is difficult to clean. In fact, that is the central bullet point here—- this thing is MESSY to use. Lastly, the safety switch will not allow the maker to operate unless the grinder is in inplace, whether its being used or not. This design keeps the grinder bucket sopping wet at all times, requiring it be removed, cleaned, and DRIED *EVERY TIME* before it can be used. A real pain.TBH, for the price of this thing, I would definitely get something else… heck, maybe 6 or 7 something elses, since this one costs 6 or 7 times what a cheap manual pot does, and the coffee isnt any better. Ymmv i guess.

Slightly improved over the last Cuisinart Grind and Brew that we had
Some minor improvements have been added to the newer model. First off, the new color option. They call it “stainless” on the website but it’s really a lighter grey plastic versus the darker black color that they used to ONLY have. (They still offer that but this was a new option.) I like the lighter grey color because it does show what isn’t clean! (That can be both good and bad, I guess.) The coffee grinder container is EXACTLY the same (but light grey instead of black). I wish it were slightly larger because I would like a little bit stronger coffee and still a full pot but I can live with that. The grounds basket is improved with a hinged lid, which, again, is both good and bad. It’s easier to put in place but a littler hard to clean. The instructions say you can pop the lid off but I haven’t tried that yet. The blue back-lit display is, once more, both good and bad. The older model was just black on grey LCD and not lit. This new back-lit one is pretty bright and the blue doesn’t really match all the other appliances that are displaying the time (stove, microwave, air fryer, etc.) Not a huge deal. The carafe is the exactly the same as the previous model (except the molded top is also the light grey color). So, most of the improvements are cosmetic. The coffee brewing process and the taste of the coffee is exactly the same. The delivery from Beach Camera was impressive! Shipped the same day and arrived 2 days later. THAT’S important if your without a coffee pot!

Itâs a well made coffee brew/grinder combination. However, like many of the glass pot coffee makers on the market, the hot plate isnât adjustable.

We have had a few Cuisinartâs for many ,many years and we love that coffeemaker! The company stands behind its product always! Never had a problem with a return when the need did arise & therefore why would we change for something different! We love the grind and brew, excellent coffee ,easy to use, easy to clean & frankly we are used to the sound of the grind! It is loud ,no doubt about it, but we love this coffeemaker & not changing because itâs a bit loud!!!
