Reliable
This product has been reliably giving my Network rack at home battery backup services for about three years and counting. I get about an hour of battery runtime with a PoE switch, Raspberry Pi (PoE powered), Cable modem, UniFi Gateway, UniFi Switch, four UniFi U6 access points, an 8-bay storage server, and a single disk Mini computer all running off of it. I have not experienced any issues with the UPS dropping load, or causing devices to reboot when the transfer switch moves between battery power and utility power. The drive has an audible fan noise when the battery is charging or when the inverter is running, but in a network rack, that means nothing. The product is fairly heavy, so make sure you are using a solid shelf OR are using a 4-Post rack to mount this. Otherwise the product may sag over time. The UPS USB Interface works great with Linux’s NUT binary, which I use to shut down my servers when the battery gets low.Power-wise, a 15 Amp circuit should be dedicated to this, and the product should not be on an AFCI or GFCI protected outlet. In my experience, if you run a UPS on such a circuit, the transfer switch when the power is flashing off and on can cause the breaker to trip, causing your UPS to not power back up again until the circuit is reset. I had an Electrician install a dedicated 20 Amp circuit for my UPS, which is more than what the UPS will ever need, but is sized enough so that I can fully load the UPS and not have to worry about battery charging tripping the circuit.

This thing is a beast!
The CyberPower OR2200LCDRTXL2U UPS System is a beast of a UPS. Built to withstand a bolt of lightning, and heavy enough to break the average back, this UPS is a must-have for racks with critical components installed. I installed it in a rack with 4 POE switches accommodating VoIP Polycom phones, POE cameras as well as routing, firewall and gateway support. Using two CyberPower rack mounted spike protectors, I connected all of the above (leaving out non critical switches and some other non mission-critical devices) and the UPS indicates that, under current load, the UPS will power those devices for nearly an hour! Plenty of time to deal with the peripherals should the outage be longer. The UPS does much more than I need it to in terms of timed shutdown etc., but the value for me is life after power-down and spike protection. In those critical areas, although we haven’t experienced an outage yet, the build quality and robust nature of the CyberPower UPS tells me that it’s grenade proof (for the money) there are certainly more expensive UPS’s on the market, however the 3000 watt/30 amp version is nearly twice the money. The UPS comes with a heavy duty rack mount bracket that allows you to slide the UPS in and out of the rack in order to deal with such things as battery replacement, although a 2-post rack will require a shelf in my opinion. Again, this thing is no light-weight.Keep in mind that if you want to admin remotely, you will need the CyberPower RMCARD205 UPS & ATS PDU Remote Management Card. The network ports on the rear of the UPS are for pass-thru spike protection only and do not offer network connectivity. Also keep in mind that the UPS requires a 20 amp NEMA 5-20P plug, not at all uncommon in commercial applications, but be aware that in home office applications you may need to upgrade the circuit.

This is a GREAT UPS!
I bought my Cyberpower UPS in October of 2012 – now, 6 months later, I need to say how pleased I am with the performance of this unit. I’ve primarily used APC in the past and considered using them again. This time, however, the feature set of this unit seemed to provide (more bang for the buck). I can say that I am not disappointed with the performance of the unit in my area where thunderstorms are frequent and power disruptions and surges are almost as frequent. In the past 30 days, this unit has saved me twice. Connected to my Panasonic Viera AND Denon Receiver as well as the cable DVR and the telephone…it has performed above and beyond my expectations. When the fans kick on, it’s loud, there is no doubt about that…but the fans don’t run forever and under normal circumstances it just sits there doing what it does best – saving my equipment. If there is anything I can say that might be construed as negative – it would be that I can’t turn off the blue LED display screen (as far as I know) and that has a tendency to light up the room at night … something I don’t like. A wide piece of black electrical tape has remedied that issue!I do not hesitate to recommed this UPS to anyone thinking of using it for home theater protection.

Works better than anything else Iâve tried
I use this for my electronics in my family room. The surge protector for the coaxial cable for my internet connection works great w out any reduction in speed. Others Iâve tried significantly reduced my internet speed. I wanted to place the box on the tv stand but itâs too deep and too heavy . I put it on the included stand behind the tv. It is an expensive option for family room electronics. Being able to use the coax surge protector w out an internet speed reduction makes it worth it to me. Iâve had power surges on the coax cable that have fried the internet service modem more than once.

DO NOT BUY
DO NOT BUY THIS! They have stopped selling the replacement battery cartridges. My battery failed and I contacted support and their guidance was to dissembled the battery cartridge and replace the cells myself.

Great UPS
I read several other reviews and comments that mentioned this device doesn’t have rails and will have a heavy sag. Also, the wrong plug type in order to plug it in.I can say this device comes with rails and has 0 sag, it fit the bill perfectly. I also, have this connected to a 15 AMP outlet, that doesn’t have a right angle plug like the traditional 20 amp. I’ve been using the device, and everything has been working great the last 2 months!

Ordered the OR1500LCDRTXL2U, and it came with its own set of rails! A somewhat heavy device, make sure to carefully follow the rail instructions to avoid having to handle the unit too much as it can be a bit of an effort with one person.Once you’re running, it works pretty easily with lots of features. The unit could be a bit loud for some when it is running on battery power, and takes a few moments for the fans to kick off once the power is restored. I do not have the battery module yet or an expansion card, but from what I could gather so far the BP48VP2U02 unit from CyberPower is documented to support this model but may not show that its supported on the current Amazon listing for it. The site shows that a BP48V75ART2U model was originally supported, but also notes that is discontinued.

It works and great run-time. I brought in a 20a line just for this beast and it happily runs all my devices at the bottom of my home server rack. The only down-side is the need to buy an external management card for network control (RMCARD205) but you can get models that come with it, or if you don’t need that feature – all the better.

Excellent product at great price. Thank you.
I prefer not say my name –
This product advertises “http” in its name but this is deceptive. You need to buy an extra add-on network card with http services to manage it through the network. The product is rightly priced despite the missing network management functionality.I bought it for a small office and it seems to be working as expected so far. The front screen displays stats, wattage, voltage, battery charge etc and is perfect for quick checks.
