bought this for my OR500LCDRM1U, Easy install
I purchased this battery instead of the RB0670X2 for my OR500LCDRM1U. I was not sure it would fit, although the measurements looked like it would and the connections looked the same. I just finished the install and can confirm that the battery does indeed fit the OR500 UPS.In the pic are the two batteries, old facotory battery is on top with no cyber power sticker. New one below. Old battery had taken damage from transporting the unit to its second rack.New battery has 1Ah more power according to the labels.

Direct replacement
I originally purchased an off-brand and it almost immediately failed. I decided to go with genuine CyberPower, and this one works great. Can be replaced in a few minutes, no hassle, and does the job. I will update if it fails before expected.

Leads on new battery were way too short, had to use old battery leads.
I’ve got a lot of CyberPower UPSs. They have always been trouble free and reliable. I specifically bought a CyberPower replacement battery so I wouldn’t have any problems. Well, how wrong I was. The connector leads on the battery I received were way too short. No amount of tugging was going to get these to connect. Do they not have wiring diagrams that have specified lengths that they make these wires from? Seriously. For 2x the price I expected this to just work. I had to use the leads from the old battery. I do give them credit for having the battery be somewhat easily replaceable, but still get your wire lengths uniform and correct!

Seems to work without issue. Designed for my UPS and solved issue of dead battery. A lot cheaper than replacing complete UPS unit

Comes up a little short
I enjoy an “easy” install UPS battery, but this fell a little short. I made it work, safely-ish, and it’s hooked up. The issue I had was how short the black wire is. I had to mess with it for a while to make a proper connection. I used two pliers to hold and make the connection with.

I slipped in this new set of batteries on the tray it comes with. Plugged in and immediately working. Was already fully charged as well.

After a few years of using this battery, it’s started to degradeucb quicker than the previous one that I used for nearly 10 years. Also, it’s not 9AH as claimed, it’s only 8AH! Since I wasn’t here to install it when it arrived, I didn’t notice it till now, way after the return or the warranty window had closed.Not impressed!
