The plastic housing looks and feels much cheaper in the hand. The included cable is OK but the attached USB A to USB C adapter will eventually break, they all do, so get additional cables if you often connect to USB A devices. The drive works perfectly, I mainly used it as portable installation device, I use Ventoy with it. I have also partitioned the drive and use VeraCrypt on another partition and that also works very well. Overall if you are looking for an external and this is well priced to others you can consider it.

DON’T BUY
Don’t buy, after only 6 months the unit doesn’t even power on anymore. Mind you it has never been dropped or submerged in water….Don’t get me started on their supposed warranty. You scan qr code and it sends you to a PDF file that states which items qualify for what warranty coverage but never gives option to make a claim ð

Great little 2tb drive
We use this in our Rivian for security camera storage – without it we’d get very little archived video. Can confirm this works great for that application – as well as easy hookup to USB-C Mac for initial erase/format. Not sure about the rated speed but its plenty fast for an external drive at its price, and the small size is great too. I gave tech support 5 stars but in truth haven’t needed to contact anyone…

Value for money with this SSD – I picked up the 2TB version. Chassis is on the lighter side which I see as a positive when it comes to travel, has a rubber seal on the Type-C port to aide in protecting the device. Great transfer speeds and looks good to boot.
