Customers say

Customers find the faucet module easy to install, with one mentioning it takes less than 10 minutes to set up. They appreciate its functionality, dispense capacity, and ease of use, with one customer noting it’s hands-free operation. However, connectivity issues are significant, with multiple customers reporting it won’t connect to Google Home. Thought The Voice IQ Module Would Be A Novelty — I Use It Every Day!
I have had the Delta Touch20 faucet for many years, so when I bought a new house the first thing was to replace the kitchen faucet with a Delta Touch 20 faucet. Had to purchase the Voice module separately. It was an easy install. The under sink outlet was only for 2 plugs and the electrician said the power was more than enough for the intermittent use of the Delta Faucet, dishwasher, and garbage disposer. So got a plug adapter to plug in the dishwasher and the Delta Touch20 with Voice IQ and have never had a problem. Wifi setup was straight forward. Interestingly I found using my iPad or iPhone for setup was a bit wonky so tried my Dell desktop and it connected first try. I use the voice function ALL THE TIME. “Alexa ask Delta to turn off” and that’s all there is to it. All Alexa commands work great (some people report Alexa doesn’t understand) and you can set up your own “skills”. For example, a water kettle holds 5 cups so you can set up a skill for 5 cups instead of telling Alexa to fill 3 cups and 2 cups. Plus, Delta has a no quibble 100% Lifetime Product Warranty (for original buyer) they stand behind. Does the soap pump spring no longer work? Call Delta and there is a replacement in 2 days. We work hard for our money and want value in return. Delta always comes through. Bottom Line: I thought the Voice IQ module would be a novelty and found I use it every day.

Easy enough to install. Okay to configure.
Physical installation is really easy, provided you already have a Touch2O faucet and an available (unswitched) outlet. Once installed, the WiFi connection to the module is easy enough and well documented how to access the configuration page. That does most of the job, but Alexa won’t know how to use it. Make sure to visit the company page to review the informative videos detailing how to add Delta “skills” to your Alexa. I wasn’t expecting the last step and do recommend the videos as the included documentation does cover everything only up to that critical point.Within the limitations of the Touch2O controls (I.e., Alexa cannot adjust temperature or override a physically closed valve) it’s quite impressive. Especially the dispensed amount of water is very accurate, as long as it’s more than half a cup. (Picture shows result of dispensing 1 cup.)By the way, Alexa requires to say “one half cup” and it’s a bit cumbersome for the skills to be wordy: “Alexa, tell Delta to …”. Forget the “Delta” and it’s not understood.

The best accessory for your faucet!
This can work with an Alexa device to dispense any amount of water you need! This works great for kids who can’t quite reach the faucet

Do not plan on Google Assistant use
I bought this with the intent of using with Google Assistant instead of Alexa – the package does say it supports Google Assistant. As of 2/27/2023, doesn’t work. Don’t make the same mistake. I noticed some other reviews complaining about Google Assistant not working and foolishly dismissed them. I’ve read just about every possible suggestion on how to get it to work. Spent hours upon hours trying to get it to work. Everything failed. Contacted Delta. Waste of time. Nice rep, but clueless on this.Connecting the module to the internet was easy. Connecting to Google Assistant is a no-go.Bought a $20 Alexa Gen 3 Echo for the sole purpose of this faucet. THAT works great! (Even better if you set up shortcut routines so you can bypass “ask Delta to…”) But now I have Alexa listening all the time…. Oh well.If you enjoy being irritated by poor product support, go ahead, try to set it up for Google Assistant use. (Take note: Delta support/setup videos do a great job of skimming right over any details for Google home/assistant setup. They always reference Alexa setup.)Overall voice commands are kind of slow. Doubt I’d use the on/off commands. “Preheat water” is cool. Auto-measurements are cool – core reason I opted to get it. Checking against a pyrex measuring cup, I’d suggest it’s off by no more than 5% for me. “2 cups” = ~16.5oz. For my half-gallon water bottle, I created a preset of 58 oz. “8 cups” had it overflowing by a few tablespoons. I assume 8 real cups would be brimming-full.Cool product, but Delta absolutely should NOT be saying it’s compatible with Google. Was it? I’m sure it used to be. I don’t think enough people use Google for smart home stuff though, so it seems less “cared” about/maintained.For the record: tried setting up Google Assistant access using a Google Pixel 6 Pro phone, fully up-to-date.

Useful toy but setup is difficult
VoiceIQ is a useful addition to my Delta Touch2O faucet, allowing me to dispense pre-defined or ad hoc volumes of water (such as filling a pitcher or adding 11 ounces of water to a 12-ounce mug) totally hands-free. However, the setup is difficult and required me to contact Delta support twice to get everything set up correctly. If you’ve got time to fuss with the troublesome setup, you might find this a fun, useful addition.

    Easy game changer
I bought this cause I got tired of changing batteries on my Delta faucet but the game changer is the commands I give Alexa and BAM it works. I guess I found it interesting and useful. As for install, it was easy as just following the instructions. Connecting to Alexa wasn’t hard either. Now since this is under the sink and out the way I won’t comment on sturdiness cause again its just there under the sink. All in all its pretty cool to have and also saves you time on changing batteries. I’m sure it doesn’t pull alot of electricity. Oh one last thing, make sure its on an electrical outlet preferably under the sink that can’t be turned off by a switch. I guess you’ll probably lose the connection between this product and your Alexa. I would definitely recommend.

I wouldn’t recommend this product. It just stopped working, and Delta support has not been helpful, only directing me to outdated articles on their website.

This is a great idea—speak to your faucet, ask it to dispense a certain quantity of water, hands-free on/off, etc., but a deeply flawed execution. Here are the problems I have with this product:- Integrates with Google Assistant, not Google Home. That means only specific users can control it when your Google Home device recognizes your voice. A guest can’t come over and ask your faucet to pour one litre of water.- Speaking of asking the faucet to do things, you need to use the formulaic “Ok Google, ask Delta Faucet to … x” and you need to be extremely precise with “x” otherwise it won’t work.- There is inconsistent audio feedback from the Google device.- It took me several tries to get it to pour a litre of water.- And, it doesn’t measure all that well. It’s off by about 5% (too much).- Did I mention the time delay? It might take 5 seconds for it to respond (plus the 5 seconds it took you to ask it to do something in the first place).Overall, the tap on tap off faucet technology is fantastic. The voice add-on is more of a “hey this is cool” idea that just isn’t ready for prime time yet.
