The DMI Walker Tray is compatible with with most standard walkers, as well as folding walkers that are approximately 16 to 19 inches from handle to handle and with handles that are no longer than 11 1/2 inches in length and 1 1/2 inches wide.

It works.
This is just slightly smaller then the handles on the walker but we where able to get it fitted. It is a good value for our money and it comes really in handy as he cannot lift and push this walker and be able to carry a cup of coffee or his food from the kitchen without it. We are very thankful this was created as now I know he’ll be able to get his food to where he can eat it.

Not Well Designed
I needed a tray like this while stuck using a walker. The description indicated it would work with the style of walker I use. But, the design is not good! The slots on each side (that fit over the walker’s handles) do not fit far enough down onto the walker to be secure. As a result, the tray tilts forward and back with every movement. The hard plastic is slippery, so that makes it very easy for it to tilt. You can’t set anything in a cup or bowl that has liquid or it slashes and spills all over the tray and makes a mess! IF they had thought to line the slots with some sort of rubber or gripping material, it *might* have remained level. The tray is hard plastic and smooth, so everything *easily* slides around on it. The “cup holders” are teeny tiny and, for me, totally unusable. Plus, they are placed at the front of the tray and the walker’s cross bar I pedestal anything sitting into them ( even if you could find something small enough to fit in them!)I gave it one star because I can use it for non-food items or dry items (like the mail, or something on a paper plate), as long as I use my fingers to sort of hold it steady as I walk.Whoever settled on this design clearly did not actually try to use it in real-life situations…..

A way to fit this tray on walker
I bought this for a “Drive “made walker, the negative review is only half correct. The tray will not go down or fit properly, if your folding walker in a locked open position. In order to fit this tray on your walker you may need to release both lock latches and adjust both sides when pushing down the tray. Once you have the tray down all the way you do not need the lock latches to lock your walker open. The tray will not let the walker to fold in. This tray is very helpful and your senior family member will love it .

ok but not perfect and easily fixed if company chooses.
It works. It is a bit wobbly as it slips down over handles and can wobble forward and backward. Mostly the cup holders need one to be larger. they fit an standard canned drink. but one needs to be bigger for coffee cups or mugs or travel cups with lids. It is not a smooth operation to walk with a walker(fortunately mine is short term) but I bought it to be able to carry my water/ coffee/ drink and possibly a plate. It is easy to wipe clean and remove when it is not needed , like at night by the bed.

Make sure that you measure all the measurements
It’s a great top very sturdy but it didn’t fit my guardian walker the opening that goes over the handles were not long enough so it didn’t go down far enough mine are 12 inches long and the ones on the tray are only 11 1/2 inches long

This is so handy! My mother had knee surgery and needed to use a walker for a while. This helped her carry things around the house easily while using a walker.

Works with modifications.
This doesn’t really fit. I bought it because it is cheaper than most, and my husband will only need it for a short time. I was able to use my rotary tool to ream out the slots so that it will fit his walker–also adding a small bolt to each top screw of the walker for the tray edge to rest on at the rear. The drink holes are useless, because they sit right over the walker hinges when the tray is in place, so nothing can fit down into them. I gave it 3 stars because other than these issues it works fine, but If I were to need one long term I would invest in a better one.

Unlike the tray we were replacing, this one actually sits properly on the walker. The old one would slant backwards towards the user anytime something a bit heavier – like a cup of coffee – was put on the tray. This one sits straight and true. It’s not heavy duty (max weight 5lbs) but it’s great for most items my mom wants to carry with her.The one flaw I would say is the cup holders. They are just holes so the cup would have to be the exact size to fit in and not fall through. Also on my mom’s walker the cross bars are right below the holes, rendering them useless. It’s a folding walker so it’s the cross supports for folding that the cups are over, so likely on a non-folding walker this wouldn’t be an issue. But not a big deal. The old tray had one cup holder in the middle of the tray (so not over a cross bar) but mom never used it as most cups didn’t fit in it anyway.
