Not perfectly flat on top but still works OK
For our new place we decided the first thing we would buy would be a wine fridge. Priorities, right? Haha. Anyway, our new place is mostly carpeted and there isn’t anywhere to put a wine fridge in the kitchen. Our bar area is carpeted so I knew that we would need to put the fridge on something hard for many reasons. I searched for a simple metal pan but none of them sounded like they would work well for our purposes. I decided to go ahead and get a water heater stand. They are sturdy, not terribly ugly (we like the industrial meets farmhouse decor) and relatively cheap. Plus I knew that it could handle the weight of the fridge and 30+ bottles of wine. This stand may be overkill as we will never come close to the weight capacity but it was the right size and the right price. The only disappointing part is that the top of stand isn’t flat. It dips in. I thought maybe this was intentional since it is to be used with water heaters but nowhere in the description is this mentioned and I have never known a water heater to NEED a dipped stand. It works well enough and just took a little extra leveling effort with the legs of the fridge but it has been working well so far. We are a month in and this elevates the fridge to the perfect height, provides a stable base and fits in well with our decor. I may paint it matte black later on but for now it is good as can be.

Great Stand
I bought it in used-acceptable condition but it looked as good as new. Only the outside of the packaging looked worn. Assembly was straightforward. Iâm using it as a stand for a short water heater.

Sturdy but watch for sharp edges
I bought this for a 50 gallon water heater that is 23 inches in diameter. The directions are on the back of the box so don’t throw it away until you are done. This was easy to assemble but I had to wear gloves. The manufacture didn’t do anything to de-bur or round the edges or corners of the metal. After I put it together, I used a file and a sanding wheel with my Dremel, to clean up all of the edges and corners. The sharp edges are away from where the water heater will be placed, so it isn’t necessary, but I was worried about getting cut when working around the water heater. One should consider de-buring the edges of the bottom of the legs if the stand and water heater will be placed on a wood surface (i.e. closet inside the home) and not on concrete, so it won’t gouge or bite into the wood over time. I was worried about loosing hardware based on other reviews, but Amazon took care of the problem and shipped it inside one of their boxes. The reason the hardware gets loose is the manufacture put the hardware in a very thin plastic bag and let it bounce against the sharp edges of the metal. Open the manufactures box slowly or you will have nuts, washers, and screws all over the place. It squared up nicely once I was done.

Works great for holding up a mini fridge!
I searched everywhere looking for something to get my mini fridge up off the floor to where I wasn’t hurting my back every time I had to use it. Everything was expensive and I just wanted something basic to get it off the ground without having to spend $40-$60… I saw someone mention this on a blog, they said they work perfectly and can handle mpre weight than you can ever put in a mini fridge so it will never break. It will last longer than the fridge. Its stainless steel and very easy to put together. Took maybe 15 minutes. I put other stuff down there sometimes and I’m going to build a shelf to sit on the bottom cross beam to hold more cleaning type stuff but its more than capable of handling anything I put on it and it saved me a lot of money. Definitely worth what I spent. If I ever buy anything else needing a stand like this, I’ll be buying another one.

Seems sturdy but bolt holes didn’t line up
Seemed like a very heavy duty water heater stand and exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately once I started trying to assemble it (parts were included), I realized the bolt holes on the legs and top did not line up. See photo. They were all the same. There was no way to put this together. Almost looked like the top and legs weren’t meant to go together. Really wanted this to work but had to return.

Seems very sturdy.
Haven’t placed it under the water heater yet, but it seems sturdy enough.

I used this to get my 50 gallon electric water heater off the cold concrete basement floor. It helps with prolonging the life of the water heater, and keeping water/bugs out from under it. My old one had started to rust out on the underside from dampness on the concrete over the years.Elevating the water heater also allows the cleanout drain to be positioned higher, and allows gravity draining/easier connection of a drain hose into my sump pump pit for the water heaters annual full drain/service.I trimmed 6″ off of the stand legs with an angle grinder which brought the total stand height to 12″ instead of 18″. No issue at all doing this. I trimmed the 6″ of metal off the top of the legs and re-drilled the two mounting holes, instead of cutting the material off the bottom of the legs. This preserved the rectangular tabs at the bottom of the stand that the floor brackets slot into. This is a very heavy duty stand made of a fairly thick gauge steel, not quite 1/8″ but thick and rigid. I have no doubt it could support the claimed weight of 1000lbs+. Build quality was fantastic.
