Works great, make sure you understand switched back always on
This is a great digital timer and I would definitely recommend it. The left side has 4 receptacles attached to the timer. The right side has four receptacles that are always on. This thing is easy to program and understand. It did glitch on me one time and did not turn off the lights for one or two days. I donât know why I did it and thatâs my concern but it only happened one time. I now have a light controller to avoid this kind of problem in the futureI would buy this product again

Attention those who think the timer side doesnât work!
So far, product is working well. But something I donât believe the instructions explicitly say is that the timer side of the outlet is going to start off on the offsetting. Youâre going to need to press mode a few times to get it to the automatic setting. I thought mine was broken at first until I looked at it more.

Works great. Took some trial and error to figure out.
The written directions are pretty straightforward, however once I got it programmed it immediately shut everything off on auto mode.I did some digging and now you donât have to.I use mine for my sons bearded dragon lights. I realized you have to program in settings the. Let it run for about 12 hours to actually adjust to your desired settings.I programmed mine at night after the lizard lights needed to be off around 5am one morning. It was programmed for 830a-830p.Come 830a the lights did not come on according to the program I entered. BUT at 830p the lights automatically shut off as desired and programmed to.I wish the instructions listed this but now it works great. Easy to profram, directions straightforward but you do have to wait for about a 12hour cycle for your programming to kick in.And remove the plastic underneath that has a battery.

Timer stopped working properly in less than 3 months.
I got this for my Uromastyx enclosure for the lights. I have it set to come on at 6am and go off at 6pm. After first everything was fine. Now it isn’t coming on at the time. It is coming on in the middle of the night when on auto. But I only have just those programs set. I went through and checked that the other programs are clear. I have unplugged it and reset it. It still won’t work with the timer. Now I have to manual turn it off and on. That is the whole point of the timer, so I don’t have to do that. I also am not home at 6pm so now the lights don’t get turned off until much later. I am also past the return window. This is a hassle. For the price I would have thought it would have lasted longer. I am now on the hunt for a new timer. Don’t purchase this!!

Itâs awesome; only four of the plugs are programmed but it makes it so nice to have a few items automatically available at certain times while still having the option for regular plugs and use in the same location. My fan, lava lamp and salt lamp all come on and off at a preset time depending on the day of the week; the oil diffuser and charger are regularly plugged in so I can use them whenever like needed. Excellent quality and simple to set up. Not noisy or overly sized for a surge protector either. Much more efficient than multiple timed ones

A good product for the money
Reliable and easy enough to setup I was pleased to use these with my grow lights. It has seven days to choose from and you can choose some presets as well as make your own.This above mentioned is very helpful for whatever it is your growing, especially if it needs a photoperiod to change (cough cough cannabis) {except Auto Gangð}As I said you can save what happens to what day and go from there, spec it to your liking, then just walk off.Thereâs no instructions included with the used on that I chose, but it still wasnât hard once I wrapped my head around it.The outlets work well and the covers closing is a welcome edition especially for ( cough cough high humidity ð§ï¸gang) especially if in a grow tent or somewhere humid (like near a humidifier.Point being itâs a compatible and well designed product and Iâd be glad to purchase another one.Definitely worth the money for the grounding also, said switch is also equipped with batteries in the back to preserve your settings in case of outage.

Iâm not sure where the stellar reviews for this glorified power bar have come from, perhaps the quality of this item has utterly disintegrated over the past few months; the power strip I received is utter garbage.Sure, it looks pretty when itâs plugged in and the âtimerâ is set, but after struggling with this thing for almost an hour (for some reason it has the capacity to accept SEVEN programs for four programmable switches) and trying to get the dratted thing to turn my light on and off at the programmed time on every single outlet thatâs supposed to be programmable, I realized that the only switches working on this garbage are âOnâ and âOffâ. The auto and random program functions donât work whatsoever, so this thing is basically just a $50 dollar 8-plug power bar with a clock, without even the benefit of a surge protector. ABSOLUTE GARBAGE, and I feel like charging General Electric for wasting my time on trying to make it work.Edit: Additional info subsequently gleaned from other reviews:- Apparently there IS a work-around to program the auto on/off function for the four left-side outlets, and make the âfeatureâ works – check other customer reviews for details (because the included instructions sure donât).- The four programmable outlets have a total of seven on/off programs, that operate ALL FOUR outlets. The programmable outlets CANNOT BE INDEPENDENTLY PROGRAMMED. When one turns on/shuts off, all four turn on/shut off.- Iâm not the only person who had trouble trying to program this thing. If you insist on purchasing it, read other reviews BEFORE trying to make it function.Also note – the cord on this power strip (NOT A SURGE PROTECTOR) is only three (3) feet long, so if you want to use it to time a number of lights/appliances/media to turn on & off together to make it look like youâre home, theyâd better be grouped in a cluster. Otherwise, prepare to have extension cords running everywhere.My take-away? It works fine and this timer is not that bad to set up. People might say it’s complicated, but there are much worst on the market. Beside this and no surge protection, I was quite satisfied, but then I realized the smart plugs are cheaper and easier to use.
