Compact, switched outlet strip is great for your video system!
I needed a simple on-off switch for the disc player connected to my big TV since the player had the nasty tendency to hijack my TV source when not in use. So when I’m not using the disc player, I can easily hit the switch on this compact power strip to completely shut it off. The device is small (only three plugs) with a short cord so it doesn’t take up too much room in my entertainment center. The switch has a discrete light that can be seen in the dark but isn’t too bright to interfere with the TV screen. It was a simple, inexpensive solution to an irritating problem!

Great for my purposes. (When it worked)
I wanted something with a heavier gauge wire and a ON/OFF switch. I use this on my power tools in my garage and it died !It tripped a breaker when I was just plugging in a tool. After a few months I can no longer return this power strip to Amazon, so I took the back off to see what had happened. I’m a retired electrical engineer. I have taken products through safety rating companies. Therefore I have some understanding of what “meets all industry standards” means and what ‘creepage distnance’ is. Chech out the attached untouched photos. It may have made it past some standard but it was very poorly designed. Unfortunately there were no internal pics in the Go Green listing. So now I have wated my time and money on this power strip and my time writing this review. I just hope the item will either be redesigned or droppped from sales or at least this review will save you the trouble I had. [the switch contacted the brass strip, it flashed in my hand, blackene the inside of the plastic housing and tripped a 20A beaker — see in the photos I attached hereto]
