This thing is a blast.
If you are on the fence about this scooter, get it! This thing is fun for all ages. First off, any tools needed are supplied which was super helpful because I didnât have to go searching for the right ones in the garage. Once it was all set to go I was amazed at how much fun it was to drive. There is next to no learning curve, it really is very easy. There is very good pick up on it and goes plenty fast. The handling is very responsive. I love how well built this scooter is. It seems to be very durable due to the build quality. Also, the battery is very long lasting. The basket on the back it very convenient to carry along anything you might want or need. This thing is a blast.

Excellent performance and durable metal design
I usually park my car at a free lot thatâs about a 20-minute walk from my office building, and this scooter has seriously saved me so much time and energy. Instead of that long walk in the Texas heat, I just hop on my scooter and cruise to work in under 5 minutes. It handles my heavy work bag (MacBook Pro + iPad and all) without any issuesâsuper stable and the rear basket holds everything securely. The seat is comfy, the ride is smooth even over sidewalk cracks, and it was super easy to set up right out of the box. The battery lasts me the whole week on a single charge, and it folds up nicely when I need to store it. Honestly, I didnât expect to enjoy it this much, but now I look forward to using it every dayâitâs made my commute way easier and even kinda fun. Overall, it worth the price!

Great electric scooter
This electric scooter features a stylish and sleek design with an impressive sense of quality. The overall craftsmanship is solid and reliable. Assembly is simple, and the scooter is very beginner-friendly, making it easy to handle even for first-time users. The riding experience is quite enjoyable â smooth and stable, with a comfortable seat. The acceleration and speed performance are both satisfying, offering both fun and power during rides. In terms of battery life, it can meet the needs of daily commuting; however, compared to other models, the battery capacity is somewhat lacking, and the range could be improved. That said, considering its design, performance, and price, this electric scooter still offers excellent value for money. If youâre looking for a stylish and smooth-riding commuting tool, this one is definitely worth a try!

Horrible company, scooter can barely make it up hills
Update: Gotrax never sent me a replacement tire tube, despite telling me they did. After giving me the runaround for several weeks, they told me to purchase tire tubes size (and I am quoting them directly from the email) ” 14″x2.5″ “. They said they woud reimburse. Fine. I trusted that the information they gave me was accurate, however the tire tubes I got arrived today. They are not the right size. The size listed in this ad for the ASTRO is ” 14″x2.125″ “; the size they gave me is for a different model. I’m beyond frustrated at this point. I haven’t been able to use my scooter since July 14th. It is now September 9th. I will have to re-order the right size and again ask them to reimburse me for the cost. Their customer service team is in China so it’s not as if I can get this resolved in real time.————Update: my rear tire went flat randomly and i could not pump it up. A month ago GoTrax customer support say they would send me 2 new replacement tires since they are a special kind. I have yet to receive the tires. They cannot give me a tracking number. For several days they keep telling me theyâll check the warehouse. I have mobility issues and canât drive so this is my backup. Iâve been depressed and not having transportation is adding to all of my other problems making me $uicidal. I just want to replace my tire. They wonât give me a tracking number and have not just re-sent tires to me. Iâm extremely angryUpdate: after charging the scooter all night, the battery only had 3 bars. Right now I donât feel safe traveling longer than 5 miles unless Iâll be able to charge the battery at my destination. I contacted customer support because it seems to me that the battery is faulty and I would rather have a replacement then to be stranded somewhere in winter with a ~65 lb scooter that doesnât work. I will update once this is resolved through customer service.I found this scooter while looking for an affordable electric scooter that was equipped with a basket. The package was delivered to the wrong apartment, and considering the box weighs quite a bit, it was a workout to pull it up a set of stairs and over to my apartment. Once I got it inside and opened the box, setup was fairly easy. The handlebars come disconnected but are easy to connect. The only things left to do were add the seat, basket, and then plug in the battery.I modified the scooter with a larger basket, rear-view mirror, and phone holder. I also got a Master Lock brand U-lock to use while out and about. The scooter comes with front and rear lights, and a little bell. The bell was in the way so I moved it to allow room for the mirror. The shocks can be adjusted depending on how much cushion you want. I didnât adjust mine but I may loosen them a bit just to have a smoother ride.On my first ride I noticed that it accelerates nicely and fairly smoothly. The mechanism to go forward took a bit to getting used to, only because the scooters I rode previously were a bit different. I almost always ride at the max speed, and let off when going down hills. Higher speeds are possible while going down hill. On inclines the scooter slows a little bit, and even more if the incline is more than a 20 degree angle. Nonetheless, this was not an issue for me as I was not needing to go up steep inclines. I also weigh around 108 lbs, so I imagine someone weighing closer to the max limit of the scooter would have trouble. There is not a lot of âhorse powerâ driving the motor so for people who want more speed and more power, I would recommend the 500W model rather than the 350W one that I bought. Another small thing I noticed is that – just after one ride, the grip tape is coming off in one of the corners. Itâs not a huge deal, but as someone who used to skateboard – gripping her own boards – itâs not difficult to make sure the grip tape stays on properly. The grip tape itself is a little bit thin, so I might actually replace the grip tape myself. On my second right I noticed that on the way back from a ~3 mile round trip, the battery indication screen kept going from 3 bars to 2, interchanging between the two almost randomly. I charged the battery full overnight, and that issue did not happen the first day I rode it, and it had only charged for ~4 hours prior to that. Iâm not sure if there is something wrong with my scooter, but I plan on seeing what the bars do when the battery drains lower. Another thing I noticed is that the breaks donât function as well when roads are wet, so itâs something to be mindful for. This is true for bicycles as well so I was expecting that. I rode the scooter on a dry day and a wet day and it did fine both times. For the price, it is decent. The price dropped around $60 literally the day after I bought it, which meant the price for the 500W had dropped to the price I paid for this scooter, so I was feeling kind of bitter about that. I would have preferred the 500W, but the price point and shipping time for this one just worked out better for me. In the future if I were to buy another one, or replace this one, I would get one with more power for sure.

The Perfect Electric Scooter for me and my son
I was very surprised when I received the scooter very quick shipment. Ordered this yesterday and received it today. It is great quality and very smooth to ride. I really love the electric scooter, the design is so cool! The speed and power are great, Iâve been using the electric scooter for a few weeks now, I will say that this scooter is not faster but it still runs pretty well and safe! And I get to my 2 year old boy in the front, and use it to take my boy to school on nicer days. He really enjoys the ride. One thing I like is the basket in the back. I put all the stuff in my backpack. If youâre looking for something simple and easy to ride, this oneâs worth checking out. Very convenient scooter for moving around small areas short distances. High recommend!

I received my scooter yesterday, ON TIME and in PERFECT condition. Unpacking was easy and ASSEMBLY was simple and took only a few moments: lift and lock the stem, screw down the handlebars, insert the seat, adjust and lock, and screw down the basket. Tools were included and I’m quite sure 99% of buyers can do it all themselves. The scooter is LIGHTER than I expected and the clever weight distribution and high floorboard clearance makes it easy to handle. CHARGING is a bit slow … but they don’t claim otherwise. Build QUALITY is top notch – I am so IMPRESSED! Everything is sturdy and secure and there is no wiggle in the stem. Tires are nice enough and arrived inflated and ready to go. Fenders are nice and secure – no rattling or noise. Kickstand is thick and robust and holds it up nicely without worries. The basket is high quality, spacious and handy. The screen is functional and has everything you really need: speedometer, odometer, voltage, gear settings and battery bar.Took it out for a ride today and was super happy! The SUSPENSION systems are excellent! 2 in front, 2 in back, there are springs under the plushy, wide seat and a seat post with suspension as well – WOW! Feels like you are floating over even the worst road conditions! Fantastic.ACCELERATION is gradual and smooth. If you want something to do burnouts on, this is not it – but for me this is perfect. A smooth and silent ride. There is also a unique acceleration guard: If you stop at a red light (for example) the scooter automatically switches to 0 gear after a short wait, so you cannot accidentally ‘take off’… you have to tap the brakes to put it in ‘drive’ again. I think this is a brilliant addition to PEV’s which I have not seen before. (And I have owned a bunch of ’em) Way to go GoTrax! SPEED is good and as claimed.TAIL LIGHT/BRAKE LIGHT is large, bright and functional. HEADLIGHT angle is adjustable but the amount of light thrown is minimal and too focused. If there was one thing I would like to see improvement on it would be a better headlight. All in all my first impressions have been very positive. It’s better than I expected and that’s saying something because I have pretty high standards and expectations. :)I will update again after some more thorough testing~

I bought this being not sure what to expect. With reviews being all over the map, it seemed most bad experiences had to do with delivery, rather than the scooter itself. I’m adventurous so ordered one when one came available.I have a bad back, so this is my fourth try at a bike/scooter in the last five years. With the others I immediately had issues and returned them (Amazon & Costco). This one looked quite a bit different with the larger seat and suspension in both the seat and the frame.Sure enough, in five weeks I’ve had no issue and enjoy being able to get back out for some fresh air, though I would prefer the exercise of pedaling. But, I do ‘paddle’ along enough that I do get some exercise. Now the puzzling part. On my scooter the key, throttle and the bell and rear brake are on the left side of the handle bar, the horn and front brake on the right. This seems intuitively backwards and backward to anything else I’ve ever ridden. It also appear backwards to their pictures on the website and in the manual. It’s not something I did as the handle bars and simply unfold and lock. I couldn’t mount them backwards. Besides, if it were turned around the brakes would be under and have to be pulled by the thumb. It seems the scooter was deliberately assembled this way.European/British model? I’ve gotten used to it, but it is dangerous as anybody else jumping on it expects it to be the other way around. The bell also doesn’t work out of the box.Edit: I notice another review shows the controls backwards as well. Gotrax does tell me this is not their proper orientation. Fixing was simple though. Took the two screws out that hold the handlebar in place and turned the bar around. Made sure I turned it so there was no binding or twists in the cables and fastened back down.I watched an unboxing review and it mentioned the handlebar ‘needs to be assembled’, but the manual does not mention that and mine was fully attached and tight, just backward. The manual does mention to make sure those two bolts are tight. Assembly workers must be working too fast.

Absolutely the best, just need a better light, a bigger basket and it would be the best on the market period, don’t know why there isn’t mor of this design being promoted everywhereI ride this EVEERYDAY to and from work over 8km, rain or shine, day and night, and having used a few of their other standing scooters, this is by far the best one I’ve had.Good speed + acceleration, good weight, front and back lights, key start, the sealed breaks so I don’t have to clean the all the time, good sized tires, and SHOCKS yes so, many very great shocks front, back, hell the seat has one too, not having to carry my lunch, groceries and things on my backHad a really nasty crash with a fallen tree branch at 40kph in the dark, and I can 100% say this scooter came out of in 99% better than I did, only a little scuff to the top of the handle screen meanwhile I’m in the hospital for 12+ hours, so well-built is an understatementMaintenance is a breeze, mostly just wiping off road grit and pumping up the tires once a monthAlot of people seem to think they should be able to ride any scooter, not just this one up ANY hill like a car, but they can’t and this one’s no exception, though I’ve easily made it up hills beyond the standard 15 grade they all scooters suggest on this with very little slow down but you’re not going racing up the really big ones that even cars can be heard chunking on to go up, so plan your path accordinglyBattery and distance is great, I used to use nearly all of it in one trip on previous scooters, with this beast my battery meter doesn’t even drop one bar in a full trip to and from work, which is great since I forget to plug it in often lol, I do wish the plug in for the batter wasn’t on the bottom though, while not bad or anything it just isn’t as convenient as an older guy like me would like (knees are creaky lol)100% Would buy again, and again, love it

Flex Ultra 500w-750 peak version review. So before I go into the negative points of the scooter I will say that the body of this scooter is solid, and the back spring shocks made this a smooth ride. Now onto the negative aspects of this scooter.1. The most important one is the super slow acceleration. At a stop sign crossing into oncoming traffic this was so slow from being stopped that a care 3/4 a block away going the speed limit almost hit me by the time I crossed. Customer services failed to address this in their response, so I assume this is just how the scooter performs. My last scooter has the same power rating and motor and never had this issue. I do believe that their claims of this being a 500w 750 peak motor is false.2. Speed and hilly climb issues. I donât need to go super fast but expect what i buy to meet their own claims. This scooter could not reach over 18mph and any pot hole or give to the throttle and it would drop down to 14-16mph. On a small one block hill the scooter dropped to 4mph half way up where I had to stop and push it up the hill. Customer services response was that the hill cant be more than 10-12 degrees incline yet my previous scooter has no issues on hills steeper than this. I am also only 165 lbs which is 100lbs less than the weight limit for the scooter. I would never want to use this to put groceries in the basket. My old scooter was heavier than this one so that is also not an issue.3. Stem fold inconsistency. In the stock photos and review videos the stem folds straight back but I found one photo of the handle bending like this. It is welded and the top where the handle bars mount is welded. You can only roll the handle bars. You cannot turn them. Customer services responded with adjusting the roll which wouldnât do anything to fix the issue, which means they didnât look at the photos I sent. With the scooter folding like this, it was impossible to carry or lift it properly because it swings the tire out which is not safe.4. Customer service- This is obviously someone who doesnât know scooters and is just sending out cannon responses from a book that best matches an issue. This is typical for most companies but extremely unhelpful and a huge time waister. I am not new to bikes or scooters, and Gotrex should at least give some mechanical training to their customer service team. Conclusion: If you only had straight ground, not hills, Weight 100lbs soaking wet, and no traffic this scooter could work for you. Itâs really sad because the body of this sit down scooter is probably one of the best designs I have seen but the power is not there and not worth buying even at this low price point.
