Great replacement for existing lights.
Great product which is easy to install and control from the Govee App. One of the piece was broken/not working. The support from the company promptly replaced the defective item once I shared the details of the issue.Works well, provides multiple color options, scenes, etc. very easy to put them on schedule also using the app.I will buy more in future as I am ready to replace my existing can lights.

Govee Lights: The Extra $20 I Shouldâve Spent from the Start
In 2023, we rebuilt my grandparentsâ home and moved in just before Thanksgiving. For the lighting, I grabbed 25 Lumary 6″ Retrofit Can Lights because, hey, they were cheaper than Govee. Big mistake. Within the first month, three lights went haywireâone started blinking dimly in random colors, and others just straight-up lost connection. Over the next few months, I replaced somewhere between five and eight of them. Lumary even offered me a full refund as a goodwill gesture, but (surprise) they never followed through. Long story short: you get what you pay for.Sick of the constant issues, I replaced one room with Govee lights, and wowâI wish Iâd just spent the extra $20 per set upfront. These lights are flawless. No connection problems, no random glitchesâjust reliable, bright, beautiful lighting. The range of colors is incredible, and they connect instantly to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Plus, the Govee app is super intuitive and plays perfectly with my Alexa system.Since making the switch, Iâve gone all-in with Govee. Iâve added bulbs for lamps in the living room, my sonâs bedroom, and even strip lights in random spots. Their TV lights? Absolute game-changer. Syncing them with the TV creates an immersive experience thatâs hard to beat. And the Govee app? Itâs regularly updated, easy to use, and often has sales or coupons, which is a nice bonus.If youâre trying to decide, take it from meâjust spend the extra money and go with Govee. Iâve seen people mention issues, but Goveeâs customer support is top-notch. They respond quickly and actually replace faulty products. If youâve had problems with Govee before, Iâd encourage you to give them another shotâtheyâve totally transformed my home lighting setup.

Easy to install, nice and bright
I installed these in the eaves of my house in existing can light fixtures. They fit perfectly and work just as well. They’re nice and bright and have a full range of colors and programs built into the app. Google integration was also easy.

Great lights
I have used Govee light strips for my TVs in the past and they worked great so when it came time to update my living room lights which used retro fittings I thought why not get color changing ones to help set the mood for movies. Upon seeing these I jumped on the purchase since they were at a good price compared to more expensive ones from other brands.Install was very easy literally unscrewed the old led retro lights which used metal clips to hold them in place so seeing that these govee ones used a metal fin I was a bit skeptical that they would hold in place but since the install Iâve had them in a few weeks now and neither of them look like they are falling out at all, I even tug on them every now and again but they are very secured in place so just follow the instructions and you will be fine.Adding the lights on the app was very easy thanks to how Govee designed the app, adjusting the colors are also easy and you can even group them together to make simultaneous adjustments at the same time. The only thing I will add that is a bit annoying is that the lights tend to lose wifi connection so it takes a few seconds for them to come up on the app again which delays being able to adjust the lights but a minor inconvenience.Over all Iâm happy with these lights and I may look into purchasing another set for another room.

Random Flickering issue
Installed for about 48 hours – since installing at least once an hour they randomly turn off and on, sometimes they flickering for several minutes before coming back on. Had high hopes due to having other hover products but flicking issue is too constant. App setup was super easy and color spectrum was nice but unreliable so theyâre getting returned.

Great product from Govee!
These are fantastic. I’m a pretty big Govee-phile. Lost count of the different products I have acquired. Some of their items can be overpriced a bit. I joke that they just make up a number and see if people will pay it. HOWEVER, these lights are worth every penny. If you have existing recessed/can lighting these are the perfect upgrade. Alexa-compatibility is a great bonus. You can control them individually or as a group. Pretty much any color you can think of. I have 20 of these lights. Super-easy to install. Just remove the existing light, screw in the cord, plug in the light and push it into the hole. Done. Setup in the app is just as quick. Before, if we wanted to leave the kitchen light on, there were 4 lights burning at full brightness. Now we can just have one light at whatever brightness and/or color we want!!Great product. Just make sure you get the right size (4″ vs 6″) and the right version (these are for existing lighting. They also have lights for new lighting installs).

These lights are a really good value compared to Philips Hue. They fit into existing recessed light housing and plugged in with the E26. The clips that hold the lights in arenât that great to deal with and it was really hard to flush the lights into the recessed housing. The lights are bright especially the whites (cool and warm). However, the colours are a bit dim and not as rich. Overall for the price, they are a good value.
