Great Lamp for any Decór
This lamp is well made and feels high end for a Govee product. That’s good. It was easy to set up and pair to the mobile app. It will look good in any room and fits in with any decór. If I had to find a negative, I wish it was just a bit more stable on the base. I had to fiddle a bit to make it look straight on a hardwood floor. It might be a problem if you are placing it on carpet.

Really nice Stand light that has really good color options.
Nice device, fairly easy to add into the Google home/nest environment. Any of the major functions will still need the app. I would give it five stars, but the integration to Google home/nest is very limited to the colors and functions allowed by this device.

Great Lamp, great range of colors and can light up a room on it’s own. Really easy to put together and app is really intuitive. I personally have it linked up to our Google Home as well and it works really well with that, but the app is the best way to go about controlling it for sure.

Powerful Color Customizations in a Floor Lamp Designed to Set the Mood
I’ve had other Govee products in the past, so I’m pretty familiar with their schtick by now. Back in the olden days, they positioned their products as affordable smart home gadgets that were really functional and flexible. Now, they’re still functional and flexible, but not so affordable. They’re definitely targeting a more premium market, and they have upped the build quality on their stuff as a result. Everything about this lamp is solid, including thoughtful design choices (like the cord channels in the base that allow you to position it three different ways) and extra functionality (like the Matter compatibility, which isn’t super important to a lot of people now, but probably will be later). The lamp heads are easy to adjust and point in any ol’ direction you want. Each one has a physical button, so you can turn them on and off individually without having to pull up the app.It’s a great accent lamp overall, but there are nitpicks – and given the relatively high price, they’re worth knowing before you buy. For one, the power cable is LONG. That gives you more flexibility with placement without resorting to extension cords, but it also means you need to bundle things if you plan to put this near an outlet. (Also: the wall wart and in-line connectivity modules add some extra complications. They’re tough to hide if you’re not putting this behind furniture.) If you haven’t used the Govee app before, there’s definitely a learning curve. One of the great things about Govee is the HUGE amount of flexibility you have to pick colors and set scenes, but it can be a challenge to navigate the app and set everything up. Also important to know: this is most useful as an accent lamp, not as something meant to be a task light or a primary light source for a room. The lamps aren’t super bright. Even at 100%, it could be a challenge to, say, read a book. You buy this for the vibes.And to be fair, the vibes are pretty good! There are dozens of scenes to choose from in the app, and the color shifting is generally smooth and attractive. I plan to use the lamp to set moods in our media room when we have friends over – or just when we’re reading or watching TV – but I think it could work just as well in a bedroom, especially if certain light colors and patterns help you relax.Is it worth the relatively high price tag? If you want a ton of flexibility in being able to wash your room in different colors, then yes. As far as I know, there’s nothing quite like this on the market. But if you’re not likely to use the fancy color customizations, or you want a bright floor lamp for task lighting, you’re better off looking at more cost-effective options.

Light transition is trash
lots of color and scene options, heavy duty, and looks good. However, the transitions are trash. Should be a lot smoother when changing from color to color, it literally blinks each color change. 170$ should all blend.

Brightness, color selection, schedule and presets made this a great addition to all the other Govee products I have. I love being able to direct focus the lamps which makes it even more useful for white temp colors. Packaging was solid as always and the lamp is well built using less plastic and more aluminum. Great addition and recommend it for someone who wants to add some brightness to a room, yet have color option settings to just chill and relax to.

This is the second Govee product Iâve bought in the past two weeks that worked perfect when it came out of the box & when the app forced me to upgrade the firmware, it stopped working instantly. Customer service was good the first time I reported the issue and non responsive the second time Iâve reached out with the exact same issue with a different product a week later. I do not recommend Govee products.

Iâve invested in a lot of Govee products for my smart home, and most of them work great with Home Assistant via HACS or Govee2MQTT. However, the Govee Tree Floor Lamp is a major letdown. Unlike my other Govee devices, this one is completely unsupported, even though it uses the same app and ecosystem.This issue has been well-documented on GitHub, with multiple users reporting the same problem â yet there’s been no fix or acknowledgment from Govee. If you’re building a Home Assistant setup, avoid this lamp until proper integration is available.Itâs frustrating to see Govee release newer products that lock users into their app while leaving out the open smart home community that helped make their brand popular in the first place. A real miss here.
