The screen on the controller elevates this above just a toy.
This drone is easy to fly and takes pretty good pictures and videos. I love the screen on the controller so I don’t have to use my phone every time. It is a stable flier and very responsive to the remote. It can do some amazing tricks with the built-in effects, including obstacle avoidance and following. The battery life is about 20-25 minutes and it comes with two batteries, so a decent amount of flight and video. It also has a great soft case that holds everything securely.

It’s a toy
The look of the drone makes it look a lot more professional  it is. It is a very well designed ‘toy’  as something more. The build quality is mid grade, a nice balance between a toy and the real thing. It is made of mostly plastic, and the remote feels very much like an RC remote. It was a little difficult to find out how to get it started. We followed the instructions step by step but we still couldn’t get it off the floor. It took a lot of fidgeting and back reading until we finally found a portion in the pamphlet that worked. The remote connected to the drone straight away so no complaints on that. We did encounter some connectivity issues when it was up in the air. The video feed was very laggy and choppy. As far as picture quality, it reminded me a lot of the toy cameras targeted at children. It’s decent, but not just something you can make a nice video of. It’s really just for fun. Overall, it is a decent drone that is perfect for younger kids / teenagers or event the amateur drone pilot that wants to get acquainted with how to control a drone. It is perfect for beginners and you don’t have to worry about losing or damaging the more expensive equipment until you become comfortable flying this one. It is a bit pricey for what it is in my opinion.Â

Perfect starter drone for new flyers or “toss in the bag” drone for advanced flyers.
This drone has way more features than I would expect from a price point this low. The setup was very easy (I have several other drones so do have experience with them) and it worked pretty much right out of the box. Love that the controller is rechargeable so you don’t have to waste AAA batteries in it. Also having 2 batteries in the basic kit is a nice bonus. Great carry bag included means you can keep all your stuff safe and together. The drone itself is pretty light weight. It surprised me because my other high end drones with FMF and GPS navigation tend to be a lot heavier. Light or not, it works well. Pairing the remote was easy and took less than a minute. I love that I don’t have to use my cell phone for the viewer screen. I always hated that with other drones. The auto avoidance has been pretty good so far. I have yet to go outside of the controller range and test the return home feature as I don’t have a large open area where I am confident enough to try that close right now. Probably not the best in high winds because its so light, but in came conditions (which is all I fly in anymore) it cuts through the air and remains stable as can be. As a beginner this drone is great to get used to flying and using the advanced features is just a huge bonus. If you later on decide to buy a higher end drone you will already have a solid foundation and not be that guy who launches it into space or waves to it as it flies off over the horizon never to be seen again. Even though I have other higher level drones I like having this one to throw in my car and take with me to film at the kids sports events or other activities where I don’t wand to drag out a large amount of equipment or have to worry about keeping a 1k plus dollar device safe. Great drone for the right use cases.

No, youâre not getting a bargain
I have some bad news for people who think they are getting a DJI drone at a super discount just because this looks somewhat like it. This is an unstable piece of junk. Very herky-jerky and it doesnât matter if youâre flying manual or on automatic, this is not a stable or smooth flying drone. Now letâs not even get into the windy conditions.

Decent first drone
Bought this for my son for his birthday and while fun, it does have a few hiccups. Calculating the drone can take a while so make sure to do so before you go out to use. Not good in water areas due to likelihood of dropping down ( we managed to get it in time) but we were thinking of adding so foam to the bottom.

Great Drone For Beginners
Speaking as a beginner in the drone world, this is my first drone. Overall, I like it. The instructions could be better as it seems that whoever wrote them speaks/writes English as a second language. The drone itself is lightweight and if you fly it when there is more than a light breeze, it is hard to control. The camera is a bit grainy, which is something that I had higher hopes for. The case is great so you an store everything in one place and keep it protected.Final assessment: it’s a great drone if this is your first experience with them. Oddly, there is a piece of mind that comes with this, as it’s not over $1,000, so the fear factor of crashing it and wasting money isn’t there. If you are looking for a smoother flying experience and a cleaner resolution camera, then invest in a more expensive drone. Otherwise, this is a solid beginner drone.
