I donât weld that often anymore used to weld a lot every day 85 years old and retired,, needed to do a little welding. My old hood was shot terrible shape,, no way Iâm gonna pay 400 800 and above dollars for a welding hood,, maybe if I used one eight hours a day,, took a chance on this one could not believe my eyes when it showed up bells and whistles Iâd never seen on Welding hoods totally totally impressed,, hate to use those words manufacturer will probably raise the price to $400 now,, need a new hood better order this one quick,,,

I have owned and used one for over two years. I like the hood very much, light and ease of use.
I no longer weld professionally; but wish I had this hood when I did. The first hood I purchased in 1971 was a heavy fiberglass with a small window (it did have a flip up window that was not much help) that was hard to see to start the arc. I have had no problems with the Hobart auto darkening helmet. I would buy it again.

Awesome value
The cheaper hoods scare me. And Hobart is a good brand way better than the Chinese Amazon or harbor freight brands. didn’t want to spend 300 plus for the amount of welding I do. But view is large and clear super responsive. Comes with extra lense covers. Too love this hood

Helmet seems fine.
Needed a helmet quick. Itâs comfortable, easily adjustable and performs well. Batteries can be replace easily and was ready to go out of the packaging.
