Best Thermostat ever
I’m so happy with my new thermostat. It’s easy to use and so convenient. I can wake up in the morning and adjust the temperature before getting out of bed from my phone. So awesome!

THIS MODEL NOT COMPATABLE WITH SMART SENSORS
Purchased this with a smart room sensor, according to the packaging, everything should have been compatible, but the sensor and the thermostat would not connect. I contacted Honeywell (Resideo) chat support, and they informed me that my T10 pro is an older model and the sensor is not compatible with it. They no longer even really support this model thermostat, and they will escalate the issue to “see” if they can send out the newer compatible model since the have none of the older sensors available. I need to contact them sometime between 9-5 cst M-F to follow up, in the mean time I work 7-5 MF AZ time. I only bought this thing, because my brand new piece of crap Trane HVAC unit blew out 2 circuit boards, because it is not compatible with my NEST, literally the most popular thermostat in the United States, that I really liked. This obsolete t10 pro, cost me $100.00 more than a nest, and seems like it was designed by a particularly slow breed of caveman. It is not user friendly, and has the aesthetics of a 1986 Yugo. Be advised do not buy this and the sensor, they will not work together. Aside form the 2 circuit boards, the brand new Trane ac I had installed in June has also had the blower go out, and the installers forgot to check to make sure the gas line was properly installed and we had two gas leaks, they said the ordered the new blower 4 months ago, but they were actually going out of business and never ordered it, and never told us after we asked several times. A new company took over, and they actually ordered it and installed it yesterday, along with the t10 pro. To sum up, Trane HVAC after 9 months of install, 2 gas leaks, 2 blown circuit boards, and a failed blower, not compatible with NEST, honeywell t10 pro, older, non supported unit, not compatible with available smart sensors.

12 Volts
If you have an existing Honeywell thermostat, itâs recommended to replace it with this and some new homes being built today in the US some of the Google smart thermostats or ecobee thermostats do not have the correct voltage so pay attention to that and youâll be fine. This does everything that the smart thermostats do.

Great set of features, but 2 different hardware versions floating around
From a feature perspective, these are great units. They have support for dual fuel (i.e. heatpump & propane/natural gas, heat strips, etc), as well as some humidifiers/dehumidifier control, etc. They also support the S1/S2 external temp sensor wires, which assists with the awesome feature allowing you to control the aux heat engagement lockout rules (i.e. what temp does it cut over from heat pump to aux (i.e. propane or heat strips)The remote sensor support is also a huge bonus, as you can prioritize the remote sensors over the base unit that may have non-optimal placement (like mine being in the kitchen and impacted with stove on)Getting these enabled with the Resideo online apps is a serious pain.Much of the Resideo trouble shooting docs will try to blame your router or firewall for lack of unit’s ability to ‘register’ and ‘sync’. I spent days fighting this, and ended up unable to use the Resideo app, and had to use the ‘first alert’ app.Now I have my thermostats (3) split across the Resideo app, and first alert app. Beyond annoying.Even getting the thermostat registered with first alert, sat in a ‘failed to register’ state, and then one morning, I noticed it was finally connected/registered.Resideo is clearly having some back end app issues with api calls from these, and needs to clean up their act in regards to app compatibility.2nd issue has to do with multiple hardware release versions of the T10Pro.The earlier version (one I got stuck with) is NOT compatible with the newer remote sensors (RCHTSENSOR). I ordered multiple sensors (RCHTSENSOR), and only 1 worked. After several RMAs, and calls to Resideo tech support, I was finally informed about the multiple hardware revisions of both the T10PRO and the RCHTSENSOR sensors floating around. You have no idea what hardware version you will get when ordering these. It is not clear if the newer T10Pro will work with older sensors… but only the older sensors will work with older T10Pro.Bright spot in calling Resideo, is that their support is easily reachable, fairly knowledgeable,,, and they even used a video chat app to interactively troubleshoot the thermostat. Was very effective method of support.Apparently their product managers making these poor decisions to release all these different incompatible hardware revisions out for sale using the same part #s need to be demoted and take customer experience sensitivity training. This product has great features, but needs serious app and sensor compatibility issues worked out.

Very happy with this thermostat. As a previous Honeywell customer, I knew what to expect. I purchased this specifically because I needed to run heat, air conditioning, humidifier and HRV. Reliability has been good with the app and no issues thus far.
