Customers say

Customers find this vacuum cleaner excellent in quality and functionality, particularly praising its incredible suction power and effectiveness in cleaning both hard floors and carpets. They appreciate its lightweight design, ease of use, and dirt pickup capabilities, with one customer noting it works well for pet hair and litter. Extremely satified from a former professional cleaner review Onepwr Evolve Pet Elite
Before I start the actual review let me say that I have cleaned professionally for many years. I’m now in another profession but I still keep my own house very clean. Also, I own 7 vacuums besides the Hoover Onepwr that I am reviewing. I own three Eureka Mighty Mights (one for each floor in my house). I own a 27-year-old professional Sanitaire upright, a Royal upright, and a semi-professional Eureka upright (one upright for each floor). Previously, I scorned the cordless vacuum but this Thanksgiving weekend I watched my sister-in-law whip out a cordless vacuum after each meal and clean the dining room and kitchen in a jiffy. So, I started looking for a cordless vacuum. Also, I’m 67, still working part-time, and babysit my grandson twice a week. I needed to get my floors clean more easily. Now for the vacuum.PROSNo cord – this cuts the cleaning time.It is lightweight. It is light enough to carry upstairs. However, I don’t carry vacuums up and down stairs because it’s a trip hazard to do so.It stands up in my coat closet and has a small footprint. The light shows all the dirt. I almost didn’t buy the lighted version and now I’m super glad that I did.The dirt cup comes out and empties very easily. I have osteoarthritis in my hands and have lost a lot of grip strength but I can use every aspect of this vacuum easily.Battery life is great I vacuum downstairs (1000 square feet) on medium and use only half the battery. The battery is easy to take out and put in both the vacuum and the charger.Quiet- this vacuum is quiet. No tools- for me this is a pro because I believe that uprights are better without tools attached to them.Goes from my wool rugs to laminate seamlessly.Leaves no marks on my laminate.Cleaning power. After using this vacuum for 4 days I used my Mighty Mite on my downstairs. My Mighty Mite has always left some debris behind. After the Might Mite, I went over the laminate floors again with the Hoover Onepwr and there was plenty to vacuum up. Then I went over the same floors to check for dirt with the light – no debris. This vacuum fits under my lower kitchen cabinets. The smaller size of the vacuum allows you to get into tight places.CONSThe price on the Hoover Onepwr dropped $28.00 a few days after I bought it – bummer.I few threads from my sewing area got wrapped around the beater bar but they were easily pulled out.The Hoover Onepwr does leave some dirt next to the baseboard-but not much. I solved this by vacuuming (as much as possible) so that the vacuum faces the baseboards. Once a week I take my cheap Dollar Tree broom and sweep the edges. It takes me seven minutes. Not quite strong enough for the nap on wool rugs. Even on high this vacuum just lifts only the surface of the nap on my rugs. I will still be using my Sanitaire once a week on my wool rugs.SummaryI used to vacuum my floors every day but I got older (translate slower and more tired) and no less busy. So, my floors weren’t getting vacuumed and got crunchy. I’m amazed at how having a lighter vacuum that you don’t plug in motivates you to vacuum the floors. I’m also completely blown away by how clean the Hoover Onepwr gets my laminate floors.I cannot speak to durability because I have only had the vacuum for one week. Other reviewers mentioned that this vacuum is durable (I hope they are accurate). I am impressed enough by the performance of the vacuum that I put the hand-held vacuum on my Christmas list. I hope this helps anyone considering this vacuum.

    Good ol HOOVER!
We already own a Dyson V15 detect, BUT we have always had a second vacuum for quick fast clean ups. We had the prior model…now I can’t think of the name…but after many years it died and is no longer made. I grew up with HOOVER vacuums so for me it’s almost a sentimental thing too 🙂 This vacuum works GREAT overall. I had seen many reviews even videos where the brush would stop if you end up going over different length carpet?.. We have had zero issues with the brush stopping be it over plush, short…or even a nice wool area rug. Brush has zero issues, and it does NOT collect hair! I wanted this Hoover mostly because it was one of the few vacuums where you can just use the suction, and turn the brush OFF over say…wood flooring. In the end…We ended up not using that feature as the brush doesn’t scratch OUR wood or vinyl floors….just use the brush on low to medium power. Two things I am not thrilled about. One is the head is not really suitable for stairs. It seems connected only by plastic tubing. I did see reviews where that tubing ripped…and I would imagine if you constantly pick up this vacuum and let the heavy head part just be suspended by the plastic tubing, over tome that COULD be a weak point. Second gripe is the battery. It is NOT bad…but for such a a large looking kinda heavy battery, battery life is not GREAT but it is pretty good. We like the machine has lights as you vacuum, like that it can stand up without leaning it or using some sort of mount like the Dyson. Overall it’s a very NICE vacuum…esp if maybe just suing it more for quicker clean-ups or you don’t have OCD and need every millimeter cleaned. The Dyson V15 is perhaps in a diff class, but it’s also very heavy and a bit of a pain to use, and twice the price…..so GO Hoover!

Bad run of brush roll part. Way better out there for dealing with pet hair.
Hoover ONEPWR Evolve Pet …Someone in marketing accidentally put “Pet” on this. Brush roll wraps hair and is a PIA to cut off. Nothing special. Otherwise has the same defective design choking on pet hair problems as the Elite noted below.Hoover ONEPWR Evolve Pet EliteWhen spinning the Elite brush roll it’s tight, loose, tight. Rattles when running – Not Good. Appears to be a bad manufacturing batch with other failures of this part noted. The battery lasts longer than another brand that handles pet hair way better. The balance with the weight lower is nice. The dirt bin is larger than others. The headlamp illuminates the bad design brought over from past models where the exhaust air blows the pet hair away from the front of the vacuum on hard floors. The small wheels immediately choke on pet hair and lock up being a real PIA to get the hair back out of them. The brush roll if not spinning becomes an obstruction and clogs on pet hair. The Elite does better than the plain Evolve for hair wrap on the brush roll itself. However the wheel design, carried over from the plain model, in the suction air path cripples it immediately. Slightly less or different noise than above except for rattle as noted. Used once of each kind and returned disappointed.

This is an excellent vacuum with a slightly small battery
This is an awesome rechargeable vacuum. It’s lightweight and it has three different modes, vacuum only ,slow beater bar and fast beater bar. You can vacuum for about 15 minutes on high with it before the battery gets soft on you. The first one I had lasted about a year before the bearing on the beater bar wore out, but I liked it so well that I bought another one. It’s very easy to empty and it’s easy to clean the small filters in it. If you vacuum it at night with a light shining near it it doesn’t put out a lot of dust so you know that it’s sealed very well. Overall an excellent vacuum for someone that doesn’t want to drag a cord around their house and it is quiet. And excellent vacuum for a motorhome or travel trailer. It would be five stars if it had a 6 amp hour battery instead of a 4 amp hour battery

I have four different vacuums and this is by far my favourite. It is light weight, maneuvers well, holds a lot of dust and dirt, empties easily (no bags) and picks up my dogs hair well. That said, his hair is long so I do untangle it from the brush bar whenever I dump the vacuum, but that’s to be expected and is the same with other brush bar vacuums.I find the charge lasts long enough for me to do a quick vacuum on two floors. The battery charges fast and pops in and out easily. It picks up on hardwood and my low pile carpet well. That said this doesn’t have the heavy duty carpet cleaning suction of larger plugin vacuums but will still pick up quite a lot is sand, dog hair, dirt and Cheerios. I’m very happy with this purchase.

I’ve owned this vacuum cleaner for three years now and could not be happier. It has saved me countless times of having to bring out the Miele vacuum cleaner. It’s powerful, easy to manoeuvre, and holds its charge quite well. I’ve had two Jack Russells, and this thing makes it a breeze to get the job done quickly and easily. If it dies, I’ll get another one for sure; I am a customer for life.

This product is faulty, we purchased for my mom for Christmas 2024, by the end of Feb it quit working, won’t hold a charge past about 5 seconds. Two months??? She probably only uses it once a week, she’s 86. Not very happy!! There is no way to contact Amazon when you have an issue!!
