Fast, Reliable, Perfect
Believe it or not, this new wireless 2D scanner was capable of reading QR codeâs with lower latency than my previous wired scanner. The charge lasts far longer than Iâd ever reasonably need it to without returning the scanner to the dock, so there should be no problems there. The range is also pretty impressive, as it easily reads barcodes anywhere in my narrow/long 1,350-square-foot store.

Upgrading from the wired HP scanner, making a best is the best much better
We have the HP wired version of the same scanner when I decided to upgrade to this wireless to eliminate cluttering around our checkout counter and also to add the flexibility to scan items from afar (whether to input new items) or checking customers out. We started out with the HP wired. It was probably best of the best. And upgrading to the wireless only makes that much better. Iâve dropped it a few times, and I havenât seen any scratch, ding or damage. And not problem after dropping. Definitely very high quality. Real commercial product.Edit: follow up 10/18/2024….I have used this scanner for quite awhile for my business. It’s been dropped, many times. I’ve replaced the battery once or twice. Overall a great scanner. However, I came here to remove a star, was considering two, from my original review. It’s a great scanner, but I find that many light colored/faded barcodes, and some very compressed ones, or some that are in certain colors it will not pick up. I’ve contacted my vendors and they have even gone back and said they had no problem scanning their barcode. I wasn’t too happy after that. I’m reading $40-50 scanners on Amazon being able to read half damaged, etc etc any and all barcodes, and my HP won’t. Thus I’m in the market again for a new scanner as I find that having to turn and twist my scanner in all sorts of ways just to get a scan is really frustrating. Maybe it’s OLD (4-5 years old by now), but it’s the fact that it won’t read certain 2D barcodes.
