An absolutely fantastic gaming headset – and a battery life champion
UPDATE: I’ve had these headphones for about 3 months now, and would like to clarify a few things. I initially thought this microphone was an improvement over the wired version, however, I can now confidently say that this microphone is slightly worse. It’s not amazing, and it’s a bit more static-y than the wired version’s mic. It’s definitely not bad, though, and I have heard so so much worse. Also, after using these headphones for (on average) a few hours every day at 60% volume, the battery life has definitely held up. I end up charging them once they get to about 30% or lower, which usually takes 2-3 weeks. I’d say that’s pretty damn good. Before this headset, I was using a HyperX Cloud II Wired, but I decided I wanted to go wireless, but definitely stay in the HyperX family. All I can say is this headset is a very worthwhile upgrade over the Cloud II, or even if you’re not upgrading from anything. It is without a doubt the best headset I have ever owned and I definitely won’t be changing headsets any time soon.Comfort:I initially fell in love with the way the Cloud II fit on my head, and this headset only improves upon that. I never considered the Cloud II uncomfortable even after 10+ hours of consecutive use, yet the Cloud Alpha somehow improved upon it. It has a much softer headband and the included ear cups are probably the best I’ve ever used on a headset. I even tried to upgrade to some Wicked Cushions (which are available on amazon and they have great reviews) but they were honestly a downgrade, they were stiffer and more angular, which lead to a less comfortable experience. Add to that the fact that this headset is fairly light (i didn’t weigh it but it definitely isn’t heavy.Sound Quality:I’m no audiophile, and these definitely aren’t studio-level headphones, but I’d say the sound quality is quite good. You’re going to experience the typical gaming headset sound profile of slightly exaggerated bass, but that should be expected as that is typically favorable in games, and also sounds pretty good when listening to music (depending on what you listen to, of course.) I’d say the audio quality is about as good as the wired Cloud II, if a little better, and that’s to say, quite good for a gaming headset.Microphone:The microphone is also a slight improvement over the Cloud II, which was already great in my opinion, though this may vary unit to unit because some people complain about poor microphone quality. Also, there is a red LED mic mute indicator which is always welcome and a nice improvement over the Cloud II. Additionally, within the HyperX NGENUITY software there is an option to enable “Mic Monitoring” which basically allows you to hear yourself when you talk (there is practically zero noticeable delay). This likely drains battery life but I will definitely be keeping it on because I love it as a feature and haven’t had a single headset that actually has this feature since I had a pair of Turtle Beach Recon 50’s many years ago. Not everyone will like this feature but I am personally a big fan.Battery Life:The advertised “300 hour” battery life may or may not be true, I wouldn’t know considering I haven’t needed to charge the headset since I got it. In all seriousness, it is very good, and there is a battery percentage readout in the HyperX NGENUITY software that also says the hours of charge left. I haven’t timed it but I’d wager the actual battery life (depending on what audio level you use, if you use spatial audio, etc.) is around 200-250 hours which is incredible.Build Quality:There’s not much to say here, the build quality is pretty good. It’s a mix of a soft-touch plastic and metal (probably aluminum) and feels pretty nice.Overall, I would highly recommend this headset if you’re in the market for a nice wireless gaming headset.

    Great, Simple Headset
This is the headphones you want. Okay, that’s kind of a subjective statement, everyone has their own opinions, but they are the headphones for me. I hope them never discontinue them (because I assume they’ll eventually wear out). So everyone said the battery lasts forever, that’s true. I’ve had them for 7 months now, I wear them all day at work and I think I’ve only charged them 3 times (I usually wait for it to get to 30 or 40 percent before charging them). The audio is good and they are plenty loud. I think if you are an audiophile or something you might not care for the audio, but for me as a gamer I think they are fine. The one complaint I have about them is the mic is not fancy or anything, it doesn’t extend or fold up all nicely you just curl it up to get it out of your face. The mic also plugs into the headset with a standard audio jack and one time it got knocked lose (not sure how, it fits in nice and snug) and I wasn’t broadcasting and I thought it was broken and was super upset, but once I realized I just needed to shove the mic back into the socket everything was find after that, so watch out for that in case you think it’s broken. That said, no real complaints. Fairly comfortable, they seem very reliable, they are simple enough that I don’t think there are many points of failure so I expect them to last 4-5 years easy (but we’ll see). Price is kind of high for a simple headset, so it might be out of reach for some, but I think they are quality and if you are going to take a chance on a mid range headset this is a good choice.

    Excellent Wireless Headset
I don’t usually write reviews, but I have been blown away by the quality of this headset, especially at this price point.- They are comfortable on my head and ears for prolonged gaming sessions, even with glasses.- The sound quality is excellent. The microphone sound is also good, and the detachable mic is a super nice feature.- The range is enough to get to just about anywhere in my house, and I have had 0 issues with connectivity anywhere within a ~20 foot radius of the wireless dongle.- The *battery life*! Holy shit, the battery life on these is incredible. I charge them maybe once every 1.5 months, and I use them for extended periods every day. I honestly don’t understand how they’ve managed to squeeze this much battery life into these things.- The controls are intuitive and easy to use. The mute button triggers a subtle red light on the end of the microphone so you always know if you’re muted, which is a very nice feature.- They hold up! I’ve had this headset for over a year now with no issues, and it is still going strong.I cannot recommend this headset enough. I’ve been telling everyone who will listen to pick them up for themselves.

    Quality all around
I bought these about 18 months ago, for some reason they stopped charging and eventually stopped turning on. When I contacted the company, they asked for obvious details and a video showing the product not working. I didn’t hear back after a week, started to think about seeing if there was any update, but then just as I thought that, the company shipped a new set out. No fuss, no fighting, no difficulty, they just gave me a replacement. These have been fantastic headphones, it’s no joke when they say 300hr battery life, it’d use them occasionally and it’d be months between charges and even then they never went below 20%. Highly recommend, both for the quality of sound, the battery life, and now the customer service. Absolutely sold me on future headphones.

If you want your headphones to sound normal, you need to download the HyperX software “HyperX NGENUITY” and set up the equalizer to this i paird it with DTSX and you have to eneble audo enhancements in windows if you dont have it32 Hz: +2 dB (slight bass boost, but not too much)64 Hz: +1 dB (warmer sound, without booming)125 Hz: 0 dB (prevents bass from overpowering mid-tones)250 Hz: -2 dB (reduces muddiness, improves clarity)500 Hz: -1 dB (less “muffled” sound)1K Hz: +2 dB (more clarity and definition)2K Hz: +4 dB (clearer dialogues, better detail)4K Hz: +5 dB (enhanced sound clarity)8K Hz: +4 dB (sharper details)16K Hz: +3 dB (better spatial presence and airiness in sound)

Totalmente recomendables.

These headphones have amazing battery life. I use my headset for an average of 2 to 4 hours each evening, and I haven’t charged them since I opened the box 7 weeks ago. The sound quality was quite underwhelming, even compared to my Corsair HS70 Pro headset that I was replacing. However, with some tweaks in windows and the EQ in the HyperX software they sound good for a set of wireless headphones in this price range. I also appreciate the physical volume wheel, and the fact that the mic is removable (I use a desktop mic instead, so being able to remove the mic on the headset and never use it is a benefit.)My complaints are few. One issue I’ve had is how tightly it clamps to my head. The ear cups put quite a bit of pressure on the jaw joint just below my ears unless I get them to sit JUST right. But they do stay firmly on my head, and if they’re sitting correctly they are quite comfortable. The other thing I’ve noticed is that, unlike the Corsair set I’m replacing, my PC isn’t able to register when I’ve disconnected my headset, so my audio output doesn’t automatically change to my desktop speakers. Both are relatively small gripes, but they’re worth noting imo.Overall, this is a good headset and a good purchase if price, battery life, and reasonable sound are important to you.
