Easy setup and works very well

Great 180 conference camera for a startup
Being from a startup that’s currently working out of a WeWork, we needed a compact conference camera that didn’t need to be bolted down into the table/wall and this device has so far been the answer to that! We were able to use it right out of the box with Zoom without any installation. The manual mentioned a free software they also offer but we haven’t really needed it so far.I was a bit skeptical about the image stitching resulting in a blur but it’s been surprisingly good! Our meeting table is usually either a long rectangular table or a smaller round table and so far it’s been great at capturing all our team members on both. My only slight pet peeve is that the cable dock is on the side of the unit instead of the back, but I guess that’s just my personal preference.Is it the best device on the market? Probably not, but for 330, it’s a great deal.

Honestly, I seen better. The quality isnât bad but just isnât great. Worth the buy so I will give it 4 stars. The look is a little goofy, I donât see it as unique. Audio seems okâ¦Iâm still observing that side of it.

Nice panoramic conference camera for small meeting room and work from home
We have been using the IPEVO V4K document camera for almost 1 year now and we love it. This new TOTEM camera is for meeting room purposes, so we decided to give it a try.The camera’s build and video quality is great and the panomaric view can easily capture everyone in the same room.Very simple and plug and play also; it’s connected and powered by a single USB connection to your laptop. It is portable, can be shared among multiple spaces, and alsoworks good with Zoom and Microsoft Teams. The only thing is that you can only connect the camera to a laptop that has a USB type-C connection.

having tried a few conference cameras i was very surprised at how well this one worked. it’s got a clever design of 2 120 degree cameras merged together – stick it at the end of our conference table and everyone, including those almost perpendicular to the camera can be seen – and it’s not all fish eyed like the 360 degree cameras are!

Interesting web camera capable of capturing a true 180 view. Not close to 180, but a true 180. However, it accomplishes this by using two camera lenses then stitches the image together in the middle. Itâs largely seamless, but there are some instances where you can detect the seam and may notice that the panoramic 180 view is made up of two videos. Youâll notice this if an item gets closer than 2â from the camera. Essentially, if the item or person is less than 2â from the camera, it starts to fall into a blind spot thatâs in between the two lenses, and the stitching becomes very apparent. For example, holding my hand up to the camera at 1.5â it looks like I only have two fingers and a thumb. However, you wonât normally be this close to the camera so itâs largely a none issue. That said, I did notice some other minor instances where you can detect a little distortion in places in the seam between the two videos. These instances werenât when I was using the 180 panoramic view mode, but when I was using the zoom mode. When in zoom mode, if your face happens to be in the seam you can see a little distortion, but shifting slightly to one side resolves it. Essentially, when using zoom mode, donât sit exactly center to the camera.As for the image quality, it looks pretty good, but youâre not going to see a lot of detail in the panoramic 180 degree view, unless itâs being output on a larger high resolution screen.As for the zoom tracking, it works very well, and it did not have any issues tracking me around as I walked around my office. Detail was good, but the tracking was largely accurate but not what I would call smooth, and may not be optimal for those situations but it does work.The camera is plug and play and easy to use. There are two buttons, one to mute the microphone and the other to toggle between 180 and zoom mode. Both worked well and were easy to use. I would also note that the microphone pickup was also very good, and much better than the typical web camera. It has no issues picking up my voice even from about 12â away. The camera attaches via USB-C, and thereâs a ¼ tripod screw portFinal Thought: Not very portable but an excellent option for a true 180 view webcam with a good microphone. Zoom tracking also works well, but isnât as smooth as some options out there, and you can sometimes see some distortion in zoom mode when youâre centered in between the two cameras. If youâre looking for a wide 180 webcam this is really worth considering. However, if youâre more interested in tracking, you might be better served by something like the Obsbot 4K PTZ (ASIN B09MVVVWS8), but it wontâ do 180 wide view like this one can.

I was initially skeptical about this webcam, but after testing it out for a while I realize how useful it can be for a variety of applications.The standard mode offers just a fixed view with an extremely wide FOV. As it says in the Amazon listing, you can essentially place this at the head of a conference table and easily broadcast the whole table to your audience. It’s a very useful camera when there is a lot you want the audience to see.The image quality is surprisingly good. It does seem to capture in 4K, and the image looks better than a lot of the other webcams I have reviewed. The white balance is good and it looked as though it was compensating for lower light. Even when the room was more dimly lit the footage wasn’t as grainy as most if not all of the lower-priced webcams I have reviewed.To create the wide FOV it relies on two cameras and it stitches the image together to produce a single one – a lot like our eyes do, actually. However if you get too close to the lenses you will see some distortion in the image, so this isn’t meant to be used at close range.But where this camera really sets itself apart is its AI tracking. With the touch of a button you can have the camera track you as a presenter, and the image will follow you around the room as you present. If you have occasion to use a whiteboard or presentation screen that you cast online, this is probably the best option for a camera you could have that’s not on a gimbal or physically rotates. The tracking works surprisingly well, and as long as you’re in its FOV, it will find you and follow you. It may take a little practise to set it all up and get used to the way it tracks, but it’s definitely a useful and interesting feature.On the camera itself there is the physical button to track and then toggle back to the wide FOV view. There is not remote or app or anything that I can determine will control this without pressing the physical button, so that’s a bit of a downside. There is also a physical mute button so if you are using the camera’s microphone (which is fine not great) you can easily mute at the touch of a button.On the bottom there is a screw hole for mounting to a tripod.For every day use, streaming, or single-person video calls, this camera is a bit of overkill. A single employee working from home would get better results with a less expensive webcam. But if you’re an online instructor who uses a whiteboard, you want to broadcast a board meeting, or you have any other need for a wide FOV webcam, it’s hard to beat this camera in terms of video quality and versatility. It’s definitely an expensive investment, but it might be exactly what you’re looking for.
