High quality, good sound, good price
I love everything about this deck. I ordered the correct wiring harness and mount kit, installed with ease. The unit is simple to set up, with more options that I know what to do with. Very easy to tune. I actually bought new speakers because this unit puts out much more power than my stock ranger speakers. I like the remote control, small and easy to use. The USB port is nice for charging my phone. 4lbs lighter than my OEM radio. And of course high quality from Kenwood, as alwaysâ¦I highly recommend this unit

1994 ford f150 obs: works great. I love the blue tooth to iPhone and color selection to match led dash lights. The stereo is loose in the dash. I need to figure out how to secure to dash. The ford attachments did not work.

Not plug and play
Nice unit, good sound. Directions are sketchy and I got two quick start manuals in my box instead of a quick start manual and an instruction manual. You have to download the instruction manual and it was a bit hard to find. I had to buy a harness for my vehicle and spice up all connections. Not hard but I wish they sold connection harnesses for their radios. Fit my 99 Jeep TJ like a glove with the dash installation kit. Remote works great so far. Had to get an antenna cable extension because the connector on the radio was on the back left side and I lacked two inches to hook it up. Had to buy a 12â extender cable. Easy for me to install but might not be easy for some less skilled folks. This is not plug and play.

Hands down BEST Kenwood EVER!
I used to install stereos for Best Buy back in 1998 and had my own car stereo business back in the day so I installed many car stereos. Many of them were all the same but it isn’t until now that Kenwood finally made a change for the better. There were features about this stereo that I wasn’t even aware of. I had an existing Kenwood that I bought not even a year ago and the subwoofer output blew so I just quickly went on Amazon and bought this one. I am very happy that they finally got rid of the CD player since I haven’t used CDs in over 15 years.Though because of the CD removal I had no idea that it was only about three inches in depth! I took a pic and uploaded it here for you to see. Because of this, I have a lot more room for all of the wires crammed in the little area where my unit goes. Because of this extra room I may add a larger heatsink and fan just to keep things cooler. I also wasn’t aware of the cool slow changing lights, which you can set to static or dynamic. Another great feature that should have always existed on all car stereos, is the ability to easily turn OFF the display. It turns back on whenever you push a button or touch the volume knob. Though the cool changing lights is relaxing so I will leave them on.I also used to pay nearly $200 for Bluetooth units and this one was only for $79. It has RCA outputs for not only the sub but for the mids and highs too which is rare to find on a low priced unit. I would have liked the USB port removed and perhaps replaced with a Type C but that is a small thing. I only use Bluetooth only so I wouldn’t mind both the AUX and USB removed but I understand if they leave it for other people. I am very happy with this purchase and I hope they keep the good ideas for future models.

Full featured yet simple to use & install, all at a great price!
When installed, the unit looks very simple and as if it had no features, but, in reality, it has many features not found in other units. You can customize the sound for the size of the vehicle and the location of your speakers, set it to automatically pick up your phone’s Bluetooth, control several aspects of sound quality, and it has 3 pre-amp outputs where many more expensive units only have one. You can change the color of the display, set different day and night brightness modes so it is visible without interfering with visibility at night, and add bass boost and subwoofer control, etc. Because it doesn’t have a CD player, it is only half the depth of most units, allowing easier installation. Unit comes with a microphone with a long cord for hands free calling, and even has a feature for rapidly charging other devices, such as your cell phone, thus freeing up your car’s power supply.I have this stereo going to an amp with two 12″ subwoofers, and and powering the cabin’s midrange and tweeters directly. It has enough RMS power to produce quality sound from speakers that cost more than the unit, and I love the sound. It will go as loud as I can handle it and then some, with no distortion.I would buy this unit again even at double the price and I highly recommend it to others.
