Impressive little scanner at a great value
This scanner works very well. I have Been A mechanic for years and have used scanners a lot. This scanner does more than the average user will ever need. I am impressed in this price range how much this will do. from engine to body codes. allows testing of individual components . I like the component locator on screen, makes it quicker to find sensors when working on a vehicles that are not familiar to you. The best part of this scanner is the free lifetime software updates. anyone that uses these professionally will tell you that software updates cost a small fortune and are constantly needed to stay up on current vehicles. I have used this scanner several times since purchasing on different manufactures and it has preformed well. set up was easy just follow along the on screen directions when you first turn it on. I like the fact that it allows you to choose what manufactures you want to load into it when updating. Overall I recommend this scanner to anyone that wants a bidirectional scanner as opposed to a simple code reader. If you take the time to learn all the features this scanner offers you will not be disappointed,

Worth every penny
I brought this unit to look on me older cars. After setting it up, connecting to my wi-fi, updating the software I plugged it in to my 2007 jeep liberty and press diagnose. It found the VIN number and showed all the error codes within seconds. Pin pointing the wheel that causing an ABS errors. And gave me a good idea of what was wrong by telling my it was an open circuit (broken wire). This unit is fast and easy to use. Great value for the money if your a DYI mechanic. Don’t think twice about buying this.

An impressive modern scan tool
Update: The obd connector has deformed slightly making it an annoyance. It is soft plastic so you have to reshape it before trying to plug in. 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee did not auto detect and unit malfunctioned. Even after entering the vin it still did not work. I had to close out and go into obd instead. It entered a false mileage and location on the report as well. Still a great unit but loses a star.The CRP123x has some really nice features going for it. Set up is super simple, the tool walks you through everything. The upgrade feature makes this tool special, your notified of pending updates and they are free for life. It has a strong built-in lithium battery and a screen saver which helps it last a long time between charges.Pros:Easy user interfaceTouchscreenLifetime updatesWi-fi connectivityStrong batteryCons:Boot timeProtective coveringThis scan tool covers the four main systems very well, I was able to pull some codes that my Creader VII+ did not. Even the user manual was well done, itâs not perfect but a major improvement over most. I like the fact it has built-in storage, I’m showing 2.7gb available. Having wi-fi connected allows you to send a health report and screenshots which is helpful. The tool took me to the web to look up information on trouble codes smoothly. It does everything advertised pretty well and the battery voltage graph is nice. The embroidered nylon storage case is also a great touch.The tool takes approximately 46 seconds to boot and auto detect, which seems a bit long but might be improved on a future update. The health report automatically generates and you have to exit out in order to use other functions. This took me a few minutes to figure out, you have to quit and hit the home button. The protective cover seems firm and I donât like the red color. Letâs face it, we get dirty, greasy hands and a black color would hide this better. Launch included a feedback section on the tool which tells me they care about what we think.All in all, I really like this tool. I keep this in my trunk to use when Iâm out or helping a friend. If youâre a DIYer or aspiring technician I think this this would be a good purchase. Having lifetime updates helps future proof the tool and adds value to the purchase. I have already had two updates in under a week so far.

Have only used this once but, have to say I am very happy with it!
The check engine light on my car dash came on, so I took my car to see what the issue was. I was told that there would be a $60 charge if I wanted to clear the DTC, and the cost didnât cover any labor and parts. I didnât leave because I knew that the illuminated warning light indicated some problems with my car, and if I ignored the problem, there would be more serious problems. The check engine light did actually off finally, but I cost nearly $300. As a result, I bought the CRP123X based on many positive reviews on LAUNCH, and I was very satisfied with this product during the first usage. After successfully connection, its Auto Vin tech allowed me to quickly identify my Nissanâs detailed information. It perfectly avoided the hassle of inputting the VIN code one by one. I easily read the diagnostic trouble code â P0420 and learned that the warning light may be caused by the damage or leakage on the exhaust system. I went to the local parts store as usual, but this time, I felt confident about consulting the specific repair methods. It seemed impossible to spend tons of money on a little trouble! The diagnosis for engine, abs, srs, transmission is fast and effective. Generally speaking, a high-end diagnostic tool is essential for identifying the carâs health condition anytime and anywhere, plus it is effective at avoiding being cheated by mechanics, thus paying excessive money.

Outstanding product for the price!!
I had been using the original Creamer 123 for a few years and was happy with it because it would diagnose engine & body codes. My daughter needed to have her SRS diagnosed but is lives in Virginia. I told her I would send her my 123 and look for something a little better for me. I saw the 123X and read all that it could do, and is upgradable, so I bought it. This is amazingly simple to use and the touch screen is fantastic! It is accurate, the graphing section is great. I can take screenshots and know what is going on with my vehicle. The price is very good and you can upgrade the software for free when needed, or add other software programs directly on the unit for more functions at a fair price. This is an outstanding product!!

Best diognostic tool ever owned
Have no complaints with this model. Easy set up and downloads. Easy to understand and fully describes each code and every test ran on any car. Ao much more value payin the few extra bucks for this than just any handheld OBD2 code reader.
