Steam OS
I’m going to start by saying I do NOT run windows on this. Steam OS is installed. With that being said that’s how I’m reviewing it. For me this is leaps and bounds better than the ROG Ally. The 8′ screen is wonderful, the ergonomics are perfect. I can game on this for hours without feeling cramped or tired ect ect. In all honesty this is a bit better than the steam deck. not a ton better, but enough that it is worth it to consider instead of the deck. Games run marginally better than on a deck as well. So my rule of thumb is, if the deck runs something at 60 fps, this will do 70+, 30 fps, this will do 40+ ect ect. battery life is hit and miss depending on what you’re playing. The wife loves to play sonic and can literally go 6+ hours without a charge. Some titles its less than 2 hours. For all those wondering is the LED’s work on steam OS, they pushed an update out that made them work. There are tons of reviews of these things all over. They are 100% worth it if youre going for Steam OS. if not…. the Z1 extreme is what youre looking for.

Good to go(s)
Honestly this is a great device. Sometimes it has hickups but when it runs on the right settings it runs pretty good! I originally wanted the SteamOS version but grabbed this one and honestly I am glad i snagged this one. The controls feel great, has a great grip to it(i have big hands) and feels great to hold. Not that hard to use, had to update everything but not an issue. Great screen and detail. all in all a great handheld if you don’t have a steam deck or other handhelds.

Great for gaming
I’m in love with this system. I was initially very scared that this wouldn’t be powerful enough for most new pc games but after trying it for a few weeks I can say that it’s fantastic and more than efficient.Windows is actually really easy to use on this too since the screen is on the bigger side and the ergonomics of the device are super comfortable.

So far, so good!
This thing is a beast – it performs incredibly well and is laid out in such a way that using it as a PC is very intuitive. So far, so good!

Great Bang for Your Buck
Vastly underestimated the power of this thing.Iâve benchmarked several games and softwares to include Baldurs Gate 3, Xenia Emulator, Epsx2, Hogwarts Legacy and Cyberpunk. Got this for my wife with a physical condition that makes it hard for her to sit up for long periods of time and she plays more games than ever.Insanely affordable for what youâre getting. Heavily recommended for disabled family or friends, or even kids (with the right case of course).Battery life is great. Averages between 5-7 hours on lighter usage like most indie games. Around 3-4 hours running something like Cyberpunk or Hogwarts Legacy.Average FPS on medium to high on more intensive games runs between 50-70.The refresh rate is amazing, especially for a handheld. Running most indie games or even emulated games is a dream.Could not recommend this more until the next edition comes out, which Iâll likely get for my daughter.

Great Device but Joystick Lights not Workingâ¦
Faster than the Steam Deck OLED but the joystick lights arenât lighting up for me under SteamOS. What other features might not be working? Please fix.

Needs few of updates seems like the stuttering with default power levels are off a bit
Screen is good, never thought a handheld look so good after purchasing a steamdeck lcd and msi claw. I was never able the graphics higher than the lower priority levels or the other systems. Can’t wait for the updates to get this system running at its game.
