Sold construction. Good installation kit. Sadly these didn’t match up with the fancy license plate frames we bought. So double check measurements if you are planning on adding these ro existing frames.

Maybe WV has different sized plates, but the sides of the plates protrude from the edges. Although simple to figure out, these do not come with instructions. I couldnât get the nut to work and still have the plate securely fastened to the vehicle ( Hyundai Kona). The plastic cover is hard clear acrylic. Iâm not overly confident it wouldnât crack in winter if the temperature drops and the plastic becomes brittle. Still, it doesnât look bad but does not offer any protection on the sides. As for anti theft, itâs only a plastic bolt cover easily removed with fingers.

Clear License Plate Covers
I’ve used license plate covers for years to protect my plates from harsh weather, rocks, and overall wear. No matter what, I have to replace them every couple of years due to UV clouding and cracking. I just ordered this kit from XIOGZAXI to replace the ones I currently have installed.This is a nice kit that includes a few extras that I didn’t expect. In addition to the two clear plates, it includes 8 M6 installation screws, and black screw covers.The clear plates themselves are thin and flexible. They are very flat and have some flex which may help with overall durability. They do not have side protection like my old covers do, so make sure you understand that these don’t wrap around the sides of the plates.Installation is simple. Clean your license plates if you haven’t already, and then mount the plates into your bumper using the provided screws. Note that the included M6 screws are machine screws, and may not mount correctly if your license plate bracket has a different size, or is looking for self tapping screws for plastic. If you want, you can use the included screw covers to give everything a clean look. I would also recommend finding some foam pads (not included) for the back corners and edges of the plate – it will protect your car’s paint from scratches where the metal plate makes contact.One other warning – check local laws before using. You may not be allowed to use a license plate cover while driving. Your mileage may vary!

Simple change in design makes all the difference!
This pair of license plate protectors are just what I needed to replace the ones Iâve owned for almost a year! Check out both of my photos to see what I mean – the competition placed their holes into suppressed sections of their plate but this made it impossible to cover the screws since the black caps didnât fitâ¦XIOGZAXI made it so that you can very easily cover up the screws – youâre also given nuts to attach to the inside of the protector to make it more difficult for the screws to be removed by a would be perpetrator.Iâve only had these on my plates for a few days but just feel so much better with them on!
