A great littl keyboard.
Whenever I am in the market for keyboards or mice, it’s always Logitech. They have great products that always work out of the box, connect with ease and are well made. I have had some devices for 7-10 years without an issue. The keys are well spaced for a portable keyboard. It’s smaller form factor makes storing it easy. They battery lasts a good long while and it is a good value for the price. It weighs next to nothing so it’s great for using wile at your desk or on the couch. Would buy again

Logitech once again delivers a fantastic product!
So Iâve had my Xbox Series X since it launched November 2020, and have been considering purchasing a wireless keyboard to solely use with it. Here recently more and more developers are including native keyboard and mouse support in their games, so the benefit of having a keyboard to use is growing. Since I did not plan to actually âplayâ the games with the keyboard, but instead use it for âQOLâ enhancements, I didnât want to spend a substantial amount of money on a wireless keyboard. After doing some research on gaming forums, and multiple Reddit /Subreddits, I continually kept seeing a specific Brand/Model of keyboard a lot of posters were suggesting. The keyboard being suggested was the âLogitech K400 Plusâ, so I decided to pull the trigger and give it a shotâ¦. Iâm glad I did.The Keyboard arrived my house and I instantly noticed how insanely light weight it was. Itâs weight was what shocked me initially, but the bigger shock was how well built and durable it felt, especially considering itâs budget friendly price point. So I removed the included USB-A dongle, and inserted it into my 4-port USB 3.0 hub plugged into my Xbox Series X. I flipped the keyboard switch to âONâ and it instantly connected to my Series X and was flawlessly responsive, and had no sign of lag whatsoever. What I didnât pay much attention to when I researched and decided to purchase the âK400 Plusâ was the functionality it possesses pertaining to âMultimediaâ. Logitech designed this keyboard to be the perfect âcouchâ companion for use with smart tvâs, especially tvâs with native web browser applications. So this keyboard became that much better of an addition to my Series X. All of the playback multimedia buttons work perfectly with my Series X, and since Microsoft manufactures the Xbox systems and this keyboard is geared towards âWindowsâ based computing, the two handshake together in perfect harmony.Another neat features of this keyboard is the âLeft Click (Mouse)â button that is situated in the very top right corner of the keyboard. When I first looked at the Left Click button location I was somewhat confused as to why it would be beneficial in that location. It didnât take long for me to realize itâs genius though, and I can confirm that it is brilliantly placed in the perfect location. I launched the âMicrosoft Edgeâ browser on my Series X, and instantly realized how perfect it was while scrolling the webpages with my right hand on the touchpad, and being able to use the button to click everything I needed to seamlessly. All in all I love this wireless keyboard, and IMO itâs the hands down best budget wireless keyboard on the market. Iâve attached some photos (they didnât turn out that great due to room darkness) that will hopefully give you an idea of its size.- PROS:⢠Itâs size is perfect for sitting in your lap, and honestly itâs so light you will forget it is even there.⢠Logitech designed this keyboard for media consumption, so it excels in itâs functionality with media.⢠Even though itâs price is very budget friendly, you will be surprised by just how well built it feels.⢠Button clicks feel very tactile and solid, and IMO have the perfect âSpacingâ for ease of use.⢠Itâs manufactured by Logitech, and Logitech has world class customer service if something doesnât function correctly after your keyboard purchase.⢠All in all a rock solid wireless keyboard that is rich in features without breaking the bank.- CONS:⢠In all reality I honestly canât list anything that I feel is a con, but I will list some things that potentially could of placed multiple cherries on top.⢠This keyboard used AA batteries (2) for it power source, and I imagine some people would of preferred a rechargeable Li-Po battery, but quite frankly I could care less. I personally like being able to simply change batteries when it dies and instantly go back to using it, versus being unable to use it while it has to charge, but to each his own.⢠If this keyboard had backlit keys it would be pretty awesome, but I wouldnât expect it to considering itâs price point. Nonetheless it would enhance itâs appeal that much more.⢠It would be nice to have bluetooth functionality but at this price point it would be shocking if Logitech had designed it with bluetooth support. In my individual case, the Xbox Series X can only use keyboards via USB-A connection (Wired or Wireless w/ Dongle), so bluetooth wouldnât benefit my application at all but having the ability to use it with other devices would never hurt.

You get what you pay for with the Logitech K400 Plus
I bought this product to replace a Lenovo N5902 Enhanced Multimedia Remote with Backlit Keyboard (57Y6678) because I lost the Lenovo’s receiver in a move. It’s primary use is controlling an HTPC running Windows 10. It gets daily use. I will describe my experiences with it over the past couple weeks and contrast it with the Lenovo unit I had previously. If you don’t read my entire review, just know that this unit is adequate for its purpose but there are alternatives that exceed it.The most attractive thing about the Logitech K400 Plus is the price – the current price, about $30 – is kind of a steal for similar products without pushing yourself into units manufactured in less reliable markets. If you purchase this product you have to know that you are not receiving this for its amazing build quality. I have not owned other K400 units so I can’t speak for previous releases of the same, but this unit feels rather flimsy in hand. It has no appreciable heft which might make it better for some than others. I’d like to imagine it would withstand a drop or three. Don’t try to flex it between your hands – it will bend diagonally and with a little more oomph I’m sure I could snapped mine with that “test”.Installation and setup was a cinch. Remove a few plastic tabs from the battery compartment, plug the USB dongle into whatever unit you are controlling and off you go. The drivers are generic and archaic..this even works for my BIOS, which I did not expect. The touch pad itself is fairly clunky. I would go so far as to say it is sub par. You won’t be able to move the mouse very far with a touch motion similar to that of a laptop so I find myself repeatedly moving my finger across it to accomplish even simple motions. Though I understand its likely due to the small surface size of the pad, this merely gets the job done and nothing more. Mouse movement is a chore at best.Important to note (please correct me if I am wrong) is that this unit does NOT contain a scroll bar or mechanism for moving pages up and down as you would with a mouse wheel. Up and down arrows don’t quite work the same way, so the experience of scrolling with this unit is.. well, terrible. I would not say that is fluid or enjoyable at all. I catch myself doing odd things with my right hand to facilitate scrolling a page. By far the easiest way to work with this is to use your left thumb for the mouse button (yellow, top left) while using your thumb across the right side touch pad to move the cursor. This isn’t the worst scenario but it takes your hands away from the keys. If you have to type frequently you will find yourself shuffling it about a lot on your lap. Also worth an honorable mention is that you have to hold down the FN key to access any of the F keys. I’m sure this cuts down on the size and design of the keyboard dramatically but in practice its a pain. You want to use Alt F4 to close something? That action will take 3 buttons instead of 2 with the Logitech and feels just as odd and unintuitive as it sounds to people more accustomed to a “standard” keyboard. In brief contrast to the Lenovo unit mentioned above, the Lenovo unit wins hands down – however it costs TWICE AS MUCH. Though the Lenovo has much smaller keys and an entirely different form factor it feels better to use than the Logitech in my opinion. The built in scroll on the handle is very easy to use. The mouse input is much more fluid and simplistic then that of the Logitech and feels much more natural. As an example (just for fun) I was able to play Fruit Ninja with the Lenovo and do decently well. I couldn’t do that with the Logitech. Though the Lenovo is more compact its layout and usage feels purposeful where the Logitech just feels like exactly what it is – a sized down keyboard with a touch pad tacked on the right hand side and some media buttons on the top.Bottom line, I merely like this product because it does what it says it does and was rather inexpensive. Other alternatives will serve you better but cost more. If you are on a budget for a media controller this might do the job for you as long as you can put up with the way it works. 4 stars for honesty – its an inexpensive solution that does what it says it does.

Makes Using My PC on the TV So Much Easier
I bought this to use my PC on my TV, and itâs been exactly what I needed. The keyboard is comfortable and easy to type on, and the built-in touchpad is super convenient. The gestures like two-finger scrolling and tapping work really well and make navigation feel smooth. It connected instantly with the USB receiver, and Iâve had no issues with lag or dropped signals, even from across the room. Itâs lightweight and quiet too, which is a nice bonus. If youâre using a PC with your TV and want something simple and reliable, this keyboard is a great choice.

Compact and reliable wireless keyboard with great battery life.
I’m very satisfied with this wireless keyboard with touchpad. It’s compact, easy to carry, and the battery life is excellent. It works flawlessly with both my laptop and Nvidia Shield, making it a versatile choice for different setups.Cons: The keys have slightly sharp edges, and the typing experience feels a bit off, especially for longer sessions.

Very important detail. You would expect the dongle to be in the battery compartment, but it is actually on a flap on the box. Seller was very polite and helpful when I enquired about it. On an unrelated note, this keyboard works with the Logitech Options software, but Logitech Options, the program to configure the keyboard does not seem to work with Window 11. Just something to be aware of. The keyboard and trackpad will still work, only there won’t be a way to reverse two finger scrolling direction. That is a Logitech issue.

This review evaluates the âK400 Plus Wireless Touch TV Keyboardâ made by LOGITECH.The product was shipped with no excessive or wasteful packaging and all components were contained snugly in the box. Whatâs in the box: one (1) Wireless Touch TV keyboard, one (1) Logi âThunderboltâ wireless USB-A transmitter, two (2) AA alkaline batteries, and user instructions. This keyboard took almost a month to be shipped to me however; it was well worth the wait.First impressions: Solid, compact, and lightweight. This keyboard is well made and nicely laid out with an integrated mouse touchpad on your right-hand side. It has minimal flex and a nice rigid feel. The keyboard connects to your PC via a USB-A transmitter key. It is powered by two (2) AA alkaline batteries (provided) which can last for up to 18 months of use (based on 2 hours per day). There is an ON/OFF switch on the front of the keyboard to preserve battery life when not in use.Keyboards are a very âpersonalâ piece of sensory input equipment; you will never please everyone with how the keys âfeelâ and perform in the hands of the operator. This keyboard has a nice soft yet responsive input and is comfortable to type on. The integrated mouse pad feels identical to that of a laptop. The keyboard has decent range, I tested it at multiple distances up to 15 feet with no loss of connection.Cost-effectiveness and value: Overall I am very impressed with the product, it is well made, compact, and does a good job. I was looking for a compact keyboard with an integrated mouse pad that utilized a small footprint on my shop workbench⦠This fits the bill to a tee. At a current price of $39.99, I feel it is fairly priced for the functionality and convenience delivered. In summary: the âK400 Plus Wireless Touch TV Keyboardâ made by LOGITECH is well made, compact, and does the job it should. I would recommend this product without reservation.Pros ð:â Well-made using quality materials.â Solid, compact, and lightweight.â Nice responsive soft-touch keys.â Integrated mouse pad.â Wireless connectivity via RF USB-A transmitter key.â Good connectivity distance â up to 33 feet.â Long battery life â up to 18 months based on 2 hours use per day.â Fairly priced and good value.Consð:â None!

I’m using it with my home music studio. Compact and very good. Connects immediately, no driver required. Works with my Bravia 43 inch too. Wish it had a trackpoint or maybe the touchpad was in the middle so that the keyboard would be split (with keys like B, H, etc occuring on both sides).
