Great mouse for daily tasks
I am using this mouse for my five year old daughter‘s homeschooling as dragging and dropping in a laptop touchpad could be troublesome.The mouse was packaged well, looks and works exactly as intended. It also pairs super quickly and easily. The clicking of the mouse is very quiet, but still tactile if that makes sense. You still feel the click of the mouse, but don’t have the added noise (which I really appreciate having a newborn who is usually right in my arms as I’m helping my five-year-old with her schoolwork).

Excellent build quality, hard plastic versus silicone sides affect the grip
First let me note that different people look for different characteristics in a product and many people would give this a 5 star rating. I looked at a couple of mice in a big box store and accidentally purchased this Logitech M185 when I had wanted a Logitech M310 mouse. If I didn’t have a preference for a mouse with silicone sides versus the hard plastic sides that this mouse has then I would have given this product 5 stars.I’ve had some really poorly designed and poorly built mice in the past. In my experience Logitech consistently has excellent build quality. I wanted a full size mouse with side panels with some tactile feel and a vertical wheel that turned with a minimum of resistance. I use a mouse pad and with a mouse with hard plastic sides, when moving the mouse over a pad the friction between the pad and mouse pulls a bit which causes me to tighten my grip slightly which can be tiring over long periods of time and perhaps contribute to some repetitive stress wear on the hand. With a mouse with silicon sides the friction between my fingers and the mouse sides results in me not squeezing harder as I move the mouse.The vertical wheel on the M310 also spins more freely than the wheel on the M185 which could become an issue if you use the vertical wheel a lot.

Nice Small Travel Size Mouse
A very nice small travel size computer mouse. Paired easily and quickly with HP Laptop running Windows 10 and then upgraded to Windows 11. Smaller than a standard mouse , but more convenient for travel and stowage in a laptop bag. Nice quiet clicks and very nicely priced for a great value.

Comfy mouse, but won’t last long
Logitech silent click mice (M240 and M220) are very comfy to use, light and work super smoothly over Bluetooth (M240). However, they are not reliable at all. I had three — two M220s and one M240 — and they all died within a year of use. My most recent one lasted about 10 months. I’m an active user, but don’t do anything crazy with them. Also, “died” here means they stopped properly registering left clicks. Imagine like 3 clicks out of 10 are not registering – you have to double click, click harder, and overall it’s very annoying. There appears to be an issue with the silent click technology, at least for me. This issue is well documented online (search M240 click not registering), and looks like there’s no good solution besides buying a new mouse, unless you’d like to replace the switch.UPD, changed 3 stars to 4 stars: To be fair, after I reached out to Logi for assistance within the 1yr warranty period I got the device replaced in about 10 days – it required a chat session with a rep on Amazon and then about a dozen emails, but nothing crazy.
