Excellent for its size
Iâve had a lot of stereo equipment over the years and size maters. If you want room shaking bass you must have large bass speakers in well designed cabinets. Resonates must be flat with little peaks or valleys. Some small âboom boxesâ get the âthumpâ by peaking resonance thatâs not actually related to the real frequency of the music. Itâs a trick to make you believe itâs actually a real musical note. The lower the frequency, the worse it becomes. That said, some small devices like this one, give you enough low end without distortion. Not deep bass because it is impossible with 4 inch speakers. But it is accurate to the mid lows so you get a better sense of the music. This unit has a line input and Bluetooth so you can connect accessories. The CD player is functional and easy to use. The FM is a bit clunky to program but delivers good sound. The remote does the job.Overall, this is a very nice unit that pulls above its weight and the price is very reasonable. It looks good too.

Very pleased with purchase.
This unit was purchased to take the place of a Bose Wave System IV I purchased 3 years ago that never lived up to its name or the Bose reputation. The Lonpoo 816 is a very stylish, solid looking unit. The remote control aside from it being shipped without the 2 AAA batteries worked flawlessly and was easy to use. The sound quality of the surround sound put my Bose to shame, and I liked being able to adjust the sound quality to the type of music being played. CD drive worked well, and playback quality of my recorded CDâs was excellent. It paired with my Bluetooth perfectly and I was able to stream all my Apple Music as well as Sirius XM channels without any problems. Set up very easy. The best part, I payed 5 times less for this unit than my Bose when it was purchased.

A Waste of Money.
OMG!!! How awful!!! How can this have so many good reviews? The worst thing is that every time you turn the power on, the volume blares out at Vol 16. Getting the sound back to normal listening volume takes a little while. I scare family members in other rooms every time I put the radio on. When using Bluetooth, there is a hiss or crackling sound unless you listen to loud rock. The EQ is worthless. The sound is generally muffled. I will use it as a CD player for now. I can’t return it because I have been returning too many cheap radios. It’s time to spend more money.

It’s not a Boe
The sound is OK for a medium sized room. FYI, l do wear hear aids. Volume doesn’t go beyond 32, whereas, Smart TV goes to a 100. Looks sharp in my bedroom, love the dark wood look. No AM, clock, therefore no alarm. FM radio OK, haven’t tried other functions. Just fits on side stand.

Decent radio player
I use the radio in my small wood shop and it sounds pretty darn good with a good bass sound. One thing that I don’t like is that when I turn it on the volume goes automatically to “15” and then I have to turn it down to about 4. I wish it had memory to where it would remember my last settings and go there automatically. I tried the Bluetooth with my Echo Dot and the distance is about 20 feet and then I lose reception so I don’t use Bluetooth because I need about 35 feet.

Nice sound, good features
I wanted a compact speaker system with radio and line in to connect a (basic) record player. This unit does the job, FM reception is good, the CD player and Bluetooth are a bonus. Overall this was a good value for the money and definitely an upgrade from the built-in record player speakers. The remote makes the functions easy to find, and thereâs a basic EQ setting with several modes to dial in the sound to your liking.

A simple nice sounding radio you turn on not a lot of buttons. Probably looking for a miracle
Could not read clicker buttons. Letters to small. It would not bring in I station I wanted. I just want something simple and that was not it

Perfect price for its purpose
For the price, this was an excellent purchase. Old CD’s are like old pictures on your phone, we seldom go back and review them, but when we want to go old school on our CD’s, this player is a perfect for the purpose and budget.
