A Bag That Works as Hard as I Do
As a bag lover, I need something that can handle real-life use—rain, dirt, overstuffing, being tossed around—you name it. Most of my favorite bags have come from Amazon, and this one is no exception.After my previous bag began hurting my shoulders due to its narrow straps, I started searching for a replacement. I found a similar style on Pinterest, did a lens search on Amazon, and came across this gem. I ordered both the 15.3” sage and 17.3” brown versions on June 22, 2025—ultimately choosing the 15.3” sage.The storage capacity is a solid 10/10. The wide, sturdy straps make it incredibly comfortable to carry, and the weight is distributed evenly—even when fully packed. While I primarily use this for work, I also take it with me on quick outings since it holds all my essentials.How I pack it:• Side exterior pockets: One holds a backup water bottle; the other stores body mist, lip gloss, lotion, and miscellaneous items.• Front zip pocket: Satin scrunchies, a pocket knife, and gum• Snap pocket: Daily pills and loose papers• Interior: iPad, work documents, piercing spray, a small electronics pouch (chargers, cables, blocks), feminine care items, face wipes, and wallet• Interior slip pockets: Sunscreen stick, inhaler, Aquaphor body stick, glass cleaner cloth, and hand sanitizerI work 10-hour overnight shifts, so I need a bag that holds everything I might need when stores are closed. This one delivers.Also, I washed it recently and it held up perfectly. I used the delicate cycle in the washer, followed by 2–3 cycles on air dry in the dryer. Then I let it finish drying inside out for at least 24 hours. It came out clean, intact, and just as sturdy as beforeIf you’re considering it—buy the bag. You won’t be disappointed.

I have been on the hunt for a new bag that possessed all these qualities: Could accommodate my large laptop, had a trolley sleeve, had an external water bottle pocket, and was not a backpack. This proved a difficult combination to find, especially in the laptop department.I’m very happy with the purchase of this bag – I just took it on its first trip, and it suited my needs perfectly.A breakdown of some specifics:-The suitcase it sits atop in the photos is my Rick Steves Spinner Carry-On, which measures ~21″ tall with wheels (for scale)-The water bottle shown in the side pocket is a 36oz Stanley IceFlow; there was still room to spare in the end pocket, and there is another pocket of the same size on the opposite end. I appreciate that these pockets have a cinching drawstring to hold the bottle more snugly, since there is extra room.-The laptop compartment was the most important feature – I have a 17.3″ Thinkpad, and SO many travel bags have laptop sleeves that are too small for this size laptop. My laptop fit comfortably, and there is an adjacent sleeve that I used to hold a notebook and Kindle. These are lightly padded, and it felt like enough for me.-The trolley strap does the job. I was initially worried about how thin it was, but I did not have any real issues. Since this bag is larger than my rolling suitcase in width, and I had it loaded with a heavy laptop, it tended to want to ebb forward ever so slightly. Not enough to tip the roller, but I did feel more secure having the bag’s straps also sitting over the roller handle.-Everything I packed inside it: my laptop, a notebook, a Kindle Paperwhite, a tech case with a mouse & laptop cord, a phone charger, headphones, my fanny-pack sized crossbody purse, a glasses case, a quart-sized bag with liquid toiletries, and a water bottle.Overall, very pleased with this bag! The fabric feels substantial (not thin, and didn’t feel like it was straining under the weight of the load it carried) and I liked how many pockets it has for organization. I also like that it is soft-sided and not very structured, so that I can store it flat when not in use.
