Finally, a real piano feel in an affordable pedal!
I couldnât be more pleased with this sustain pedalâat any price. The company even includes a very generous cable length, which made it simple to route through my studio deskâs cable management system. The build feels premium: itâs heavy enough to stay in place without sliding. Most importantly, pianists will appreciate that it feels just like a ârealâ piano pedalâresponsive, solid, and reliable. An affordable, high-quality pedal that delivers exactly what it should.

Exactly What the Kids Needed â Great Sustain Pedal for Practice
We got this sustain pedal for the kids to use during their piano lessons, and it works wonderfully. The pedal feels solid and responsive â much better than using something makeshift. It helped improve their playing experience quite a bit. If you need a reliable sustain pedal for practice, this one is a solid choice.

An excellent quality pedal at a nice price
I like having the adjustment knob which allows me to set the silent point of the travel at the physical stop. The adjustment is a bit sensitive, and slightly difficult to set exactly. Also, there is a tiny bit of free play in the pedal linkage, which makes precision a bit less than I would like. The mechanism, a slotted lever and round pin, is very standard for foot pedals, and I am being overly picky about that. I am comparing this to a Studiologic VP-27, which I have nearly worn out. The VP-27 uses a nylon rack and pinion gear system, which is slightly more precise. Overall, this is a very good expression pedal, which should work well for nearly any expression pedal application using a TRS plug.

Quiet, reliable, sturdy
One reviewer highly recommended this pedal, but claimed that this pedal has “rudimentary ‘guts'” including bare internal wires. This is not true. This pedal has a printed circuit board and uses conductive carbon pills — the exact same sort of switch you’ll find inside your calculators, remote controls, smartphones, and certain computer keyboards. There are no bare internal wires as the reviewer described.I’ve owned three of these pedals. They are very reliable; I’m just now replacing the one I purchased in 2019 (six years ago). These are simple to open up (just be cognizant of the pedal spring). I last opened my pedal to modify it to safely absorb the static electricity in my home in the winter, when the air is very dry. The pedal is often the first part of my keyboard that I touch, so any static I’ve accumulated gets passed into my delicate keyboard. Once, the static charge caused my keyboard to reboot! This was not a fault of the pedal, which was simply allowing the static electricity to follow it’s own path. But I soldered an inexpensive MOV (S07K35 Metal oxide varistor, 35VAC) across the cable to protect the keyboard from any future static jolts. I also could have incorporated the MOV into a secondary cable, but it seemed simpler to just place it inside the M-Audio sustain pedal. This pedal is quiet, reliable and sturdy. Highly recommended.

Universally works great
Works well with Roland keyboard. I use it mostly as a volume pedal with an organ patch and it does great. I’ve had good experience with other M-Audio products as well. And this is another item that seems to work well in many applications.

Solid, Piano-Style Sustain Pedal That Feels Right
Solid, Piano-Style Sustain Pedal That Feels RightIâve been using the M-Audio SP-2 with my digital piano, and itâs one of those accessories that instantly makes playing feel more authentic. The pedal has a good amount of resistanceânot too stiff, not too looseâso it feels close to a real acoustic piano pedal. The rubber base keeps it from sliding around, even on hardwood floors, and the build feels sturdy enough that I expect it to last for years of practice and performance.I also like that it comes with a polarity switch, which means it works with just about any keyboard or digital piano. Plug it in, flip the switch if needed, and youâre good to go. It really is plug-and-play without any fuss.If I had to point out a small thing, itâs that the spring feels slightly lighter than on some higher-end pedals, but itâs consistent and very responsive. For the price point, itâs hard to beat.Bottom line: A reliable, well-built sustain pedal that gives a piano-like feel at a very fair price. Great pick for anyone wanting to add realism to their digital playing setup.

Go for it â affordable and sturdy ðI was unsure about its compatibility, but it worked well with my Yamaha PSR S-series keyboard. Was able to assign as a Volume pedal and also as an Expression pedal as well. â Just toggle the +/- polarity switch until you get the desired result. â No hassles! â
