GASKET-MOUNTED STRUCTURE: Unlike the traditional screw fixed structure, the positioning plate of the SKY81 creamy keyboard is fixed in the middle by the pressure of the upper and lower shells. There are gaskets distributed around the positioning plate to prevent direct contact between the interior and the shells, acting as a cushioning layer and effectively reducing vibration and noise generated when typing. This keyboard feels soft and even, elastic and has pure sound.
5-LAYER SOUND ABSORBING FILLING: In order to improve the noise situation, this gasket keyboard is equipped with a IXPE foam pad, PORON foam, diaphragm, EVA soundproofing foam and silicone absorbing pad in the gaps between the positioning plate, PCB board and bottom. This reduces the resonance space inside the keyboard, thereby suppressing hollow sounds and making every key press comfortable and pleasant. For gamers and office users, this keyboard is a great addition to the desktop.
HOT-SWAPPABLE SOCKET & PRE-LUBED CUSTOM SWITCHES: This 75% mechanical keyboard is compatible with 3-pin or 5-pin switches, allowing you to personalize your keyboard. The switches are individually removable and can be replaced in seconds. The SKY81 keyboard utilizes MageGee’s finely tuned switches, which are pre-lubricated at the factory and built to last up to 70 million keystrokes for responsive and creamy typing.
STUNNING RGB BACKLIGHTING: This custom keyboard has 6 sets of default gaming backlight effects (FN + 1 ~ FN + 6), and 18 built-in backlight modes, as well as adjustable light brightness and speed. Bright static and dynamic lights shine in the dark, illuminating your desktop and enhancing the gaming experience. The switch on the left side of the keyboard turns the light off/on with one click. This 75 percent keyboard supports customized light effects and you can record by pressing FN + Back.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL KNOB AND INDICATOR: The gaming keyboard features a metal knob for quick control of the keyboard lights and computer volume. By default, rotating the knob can adjust the backlight brightness, and pressing the knob can switch the lighting effects. Hold the knob for 3 seconds to switch to volume mode, then rotate it to adjust the volume and press it to turn on the media player. The 4 indicator lights on the right side can clearly display the real-time status of the keyboard.
Customers say
Customers find the keyboard quieter than clicky blues and appreciate its feel, with one noting the great rubber feet for grip. They consider it good value for money and praise its quality, cute color scheme, and control features, with one mentioning the hot-swappable switches. The functionality receives mixed feedback – while it works well with MacBooks, some report issues with keys not functioning properly. The color accuracy also gets mixed reviews.

Fantastic keyboard
Iâve tried a couple different budget keyboards, and this one surprised me. It sounds like a a lot of 100 dollar keyboards that Iâve heard and it feels really nice. And it has a volume knob which you almost never see in budget keyboards. It doesnât have software, but it explains any short cuts that there are. I donât like or know how to hotswap keyboards, and the title says that it does but it doesnât. So if youâre looking to customize a keyboard then this isnât the one for you, unless you like soldering. This keyboard fit my needs for a cheaper price, it works very well and feels really good and sounds really good.

Creamy sound and sensitive keys
If youâre a light typer like me, the sensitivity on these keys is unreal and has made my load at work so much easier to tackle. Itâs aesthetically pleasing and the creamy sounds of the keyboard are way less jarring than my previous one.

Love love love
I really wanted a keyboard that would allow me to enjoy my time at my desk. I have a long Research thesis to write in the next few months and this keyboard is such a cute, nice sounding keyboard. I would recommend this one for anyone new to buying mechanical keyboards! Only thing though, thr keyboard cap puller that comes with this is kind of crap but I’m happy I had my own. I would recommend to invest in one if you don’t have one. Good size and value for money!

Amazing value
This is a hefty keyboard and is heavier than many of my full sized keyboard which is actually a good thing. It’s very stable. All the feet have great rubber for grip and even the extended legs have the rubber grip as well. Everything feels very solid. I’m used to clicky browns and blues so these are very different. These are much much quieter than clicky blues and feel completely linear. There is no feel to an actuation point and only “click” When fully depressed and the entire travel is completely linear. It’s not necessarily a good or bad thing. I know some people will want an actuation click before bottoming out but these do not have that. If you don’t fully bottom out, there will not be any tapping noise at all so is great for light typers who want silence. I will say that I excitedly changed out the keys before making this review so my black pudding keycaps are not apart of this. This brings me to my tiny complaint. These are nowhere near as bright as what I’m used to and that’s compared in my video but the camera makes it seem brighter. It is dimmer in real life. Some of the settings are super dim and the brightest settings aren’t too bright. That was the main reason for me to change the keycaps. The original keycaps are not shine through so it’s even worse since only a tiny amount of light come out below the caps. The pudding caps allow for more light through which is an improvement. Also, the lights are at the top of the keys so it’s much dimmer from a user’s southern view getting the darker view.Overall, a lovely keyboard with the lack of a clicky feel and led that are a bit dim. Definitely great for the price but can get pricey if you have to purchase different switches

The best keyboard you can buy
Insanely good quality for the price. No lag, very responsive, and sounds amazing. Thereâs also a lot of variation with the RGB settings that are very satisfying to check out and choose which one is best. I initially bought this keyboard because it was cheaper than other options while still having RGB and a creamy sound. But this thing has a lot more to it than I thought. 10000% worthy your money

Grest keyboard for price.
It’s a really nice keyboard for the price. It sounds nice imo and it also is a great size. Strongly recommend if you’re on the fence.

Very satisfying clicky keys (yes, they are quite noisy, but that’s what you want the mechanical keyboard for â right?). The backlight is nice and vibrant with brightness and speed options, with many options for lighting patterns. I’m using it with a Steam Deck so some of the functionality doesn’t seem to be available out of the box (can’t for the life of me figure out how to change the solid backlight colour without resorting to customising each key individually) but there are so many lovely lighting patterns that I really don’t mind. The keys themselves all seem to map perfectly though, and I’ve had no issues with ghost-keys or anything like that. Just don’t forget to switch the on/off slider on the lefthand side to turn on the backlight, or you’ll be scratching your head wondering why it won’t come on!The included detachable wire is a decent length, and I’m sure you could easily change it for a longer option if you needed to for any reason as it has a standard USB connector on one end, and USB-C on the other.Sturdy build with very good switches, and the hot-swappable keys make it a breeze to customise thanks to the dual-ended remover that came included. Great value for money, and a lovely budget entry into the mechanical keyboard world for anyone who doesn’t want to spend a fortune but still likes the freedom to make it their own.

Good little budget clicky keyboard. My daughter wanted something “noisy” and I didn’t want to custom build one and she is very happy with how this function and sounds. Very nice keyboard.

For the price, the MageGee SKY81 is a great choice for budget-conscious gamers who want a compact, mechanical keyboard with RGB lighting. While it lacks wireless support and premium build materials, it delivers a solid gaming and typing experience at an affordable price.
