Great to look at, good sound and easy to use, nice product
I really like the look and feel of this CD player and the design allows for easy use. I have gone through a number of portable players in the past few years and decided to pay a bit more and get something of quality. Hopefully it holds up, I have been using it for several month, but no fault with the design, quality, sound or ease of use

Sounds crisp and clear and is shock resistant.
The music sounds crisp and clear but it could have more base. There is no equalizer or tone control to adjust for different earbuds so make sure you are using the best. The unit is shock resistant so you can walk around with it, but it will require a pouch of some sort as it is not sleekly designed like the Discman, it is boxy. While it runs off of the battery, you can plug in the USB charging cord (no regular pronged plug) and use it while it is charging. It is easy to get pronged plugs with USB connections. The readout is easy to see, letting you know which track you are on and how charged the battery is.The Buttons are big and easy to use. The On-Off switch in the back is small but this prevents you from accidentally turning off the unit while listening to music.

Pretty, easy, buzzy.
Compact, easy to use, stylish, good audio sound; however the casing itself audibly vibrates when the disc is spinning. If one modestly squeezes the casing the sound is reduced. Standing near the machine with the volume low it can be plainly heard, another bump or two louder and it canât.Follow-up: the mechanical noise seems to have lessened after several hours of play time. Iâll raise my rating to 4 stars.

Sound Quality
Excellent sound. There is a noticeable hiss when the USB is plugged into the pc but it only needs to be used when charging the device. So charge it when you are not playing music. You will however have to use it if you are in pc mode. That is, you are watching you tube or listening to other digital content on line but that it not how I use it. I do that from my audio interface and studio monitors. No need to use the Moondrop.UPDATE:I made a discovery today. I had the USB plugged into a USB3.2 port. I switched to a 3.0 port and the hiss issue is gone. The 3.2 port connection also disabled my separate computers audio. This fixed this issue as well.

Excellent sound, Good Value
The headphone sound is very good but best with efficient headphones and in-ear headphones. Sound is excellent using the optical output with external DAC. The unit operates totally silently and the controls work well. Although I like this I plan to upgrade to the Discdream 2 Ultra if it ever goes on sale so I can use the balanced headphone output for more power and likely better sound due to enhanced circuitry.I wish the lid had a magnet or latch to keep it from opening when the device is sideways or held upside down. The rechargeable battery does not seem to be replaceable but I assume it might be good for a couple of years depending on usage.

Pound for pound, it stacks up against all.
The on-board DAC is clean and clear. Battery was full after being in transit for a month. Can’t knock it, so far and I don’t think I’ll be able to. Paired up with my Hifiman open-back headphones, it sounds crystal clear with plenty of volume to spare. The price is a bit high but you get what you pay for and I am happy. They have a new model coming out (as of February 2025) and so you may opt for that but you shouldn’t be disappointed if this one is what you have.

After having tried both old 2nd hand and new portable CD players like the Klim Nomad, this was worth the premium for the sound quality and overall experience.Old CDs sound amazing with good headphones or good speakers using the line out. Very simple operation, and looks beautiful.

Really nice little unit, purchased to use the optical out with my DAC as I have no analogue pre amp anymore.works well, solid build, great styling. My only gripe, and reason to drop a star is: For the price, a remote control would have been nice, however given its intended as a portable device it makes sense why it doesn’t have one. but just sees a little on the pricey side for what it is.

In conclusione, è un prodotto consigliato a chi vuole ascoltare i propri CD in modo nitido e piacevole, senza dover spendere cifre esagerate.

Very nice unit. I do not consider myself an audiophile but this player sounds so good pared with any speakers.
