Got my fiance an exact duplicate phone a few years back. Mine was from 2012 and was definitely time for a new one. Phone has been great and been learning about it as I go

Not unlocked and no help
Not unlocked. Bought ahead of Christmas to ensure that it would arrive in time. Trusted that the phone was actually unlocked so I spent about a month and a half fighting with SIM cards, ordering new “compatible” ones and waiting for shipping, and that was a mini nightmare in its own. Even took the phone into the Verizon store to get help there, but as per usual, Verizon wasn’t helpful (which is why we got rid of Verizon years ago). No help from Amazon or the Amazon certified refurbishing company. The whole thing has been a huge nightmare and headache and I’m so beyond frustrated and disappointed. The number of hours, yes hours, that I have spent on trying to get this phone working right is just disgusting. So currently my son has no phone working because service was transferred from his old phone to the new phone, which will not work because it’s locked. ðð©ð¤¬

Bought for my 9 year old as a cheaper alternative to the Samsung or pixel phones. Works great and has held up to some drops already.

Locked to Verizon
I just received this phone today and like other people have stated before, it is locked to Verizon even though it clearly states it is unlocked.Here’s a screenshot of the advertisement. It’s clearly false so I’ll be sending mine back and pay $25 more to get a new one. I’ve had this model phone and it’s not a bad phone for the price. But I need a unlocked phone. Be advised!
