Great controller
I originally got this as sort of a backup/portable version of the S4MK3 I could use at home to do preparation and recording mini-mixes. I was not disappointed. The hardware build quality is great and it adpots a lot of features from its big brother while still being lightweight. I’ve used it on the road, when traveling, and even in one of the biggest clubs in Houston with no problems whatsoever.The jogs feel nice and have a good size to them. The crossfader could be better but I’ve been spoiled with the Z2 and S4MK3, and it does the job fine, even for some more advanced scratching routines. Output routing was a bit disappointing as there are no XLR/TRS outputs, but some small adaptors did the trick (RCA to XLR was crucial).The lack of FX control was a bit controversial, but to me it helped keep the size down, and I mapped Shift+knobs to control the dry/wet and an FX parameter like on the Z2. Once again, the hardware quality is amazing and way beyond what else you see in this class. Bottom line, this is a great controller at a great value, and has excellent build quality and a lot of cool features (the new mixer FX in particular is great). I would not hesitate to pick this up and I wish I had much sooner. As a Traktor user of 6+ years, I can’t recommend this enough, even to owners of the S4MK3.

Excellent controller with a lot to offer!
The controller just arrived today but Iâm already loving it. Where do I start? First, it comes with a full version of Traktor Pro 3. I donât know if youâve priced software lately but I paid $100 for Virtual DJ for a smaller inexpensive controller I own. Second, itâs ipad compatible. I use my MacBook but nice to know this is an option. Finally, set up was a breeze. You just long into their site and it takes your step by step. Overall, I like what I see so far. The deck allows you to easily use all the common features in Traktorâs all new software. The platters are nice and large and the knobs and sliders feel sturdy and easy to access.The only issues I have (they are minor) it only has one mic output, just RCA and no XLR for speakers and itâs not great for scratching (not that I need that but maybe you do). Overall, Iâm pleased with my purchase and canât wait to use it this weekend for a gig.Who is this suitable for? I would say a beginner or intermediate DJ who wants flexibility and may need to travel (itâs lightweight and easy to carry). Also, someone who doesnât need 4 decks and more auxiliary inputs. There are more complex and robust controllers on the market but this has everything I need. Great job!

It arrived in immaculate condition. Everything was superb. I loved it. I tried to buy it from the official native instruments website, but it said the payment was unsuccessful and it couldnât accept my money, lol whatever that means

Not compatible with M1 Ipad Pro – buyer beware!
This thing is sold as Ipad compatible. It even has an “ipad” USB specific port on the back. But beware, if you have a 2021 Ipad Pro with the new M1 chipset this will not work. Native Instruments has also abandoned their Traktor DJ2 app so there are no new updates coming. I literally bought this thing to use with my new iPad and it won’t/can’t work according to NI’s own forums. Yikes…. be aware if this is your reason for buying this thing. Looking into my options now, most likely will return and look into the Roland option.

I love it much more than the Mk3 S4 that I used. Good earphones plug, easy connect to internet. Only minus is I must use an external audio device in order to use the MK3 S2 but it was like that with the previous as well. Love it!

On Native Instrument’s website, there is a manual you can tell you, which tells you everything you are supposed to get for what you pay (one of those things should be a quick set up). Here is that list:What Is Included in the Box?The TRAKTOR KONTROL S2 box contains the following items:⪠The TRAKTOR KONTROL S2⪠A power supply⪠A USB cable⪠A Native Instruments iOS cable⪠A registration flyer with your TRAKTOR PRO 2 software serial number, your TRAKTOR KONTROL S2 hardware serial number, and a link to the hardware registration page, where you can register your hardware and download the TRAKTOR software⪠A safety instructions flyerIn my box I got: the controller, a UBS cable, and a copy of Traktor 2.0 with registration numberIn theory, this should be enough. But, after I go into Traktor and set up my preferences for the controller, there’s no internal memory of what button controls what. So either I have to program the controller to every function in the software (which I have been working at, but this is tedious and I didn’t have to buy a Traktor controller to work in Traktor then) or download a premade control set up online and learn how that user decided to set up their controller.The main reason I invested in this controller was user friendliness and it has been not at all the experience I thought it would be.

Nothing not to like, can power using a power bank and an iPad and Bluetooth speaker can be used so no need for mains electricity! Iâm a novice but the Traktor makes it very easy to get hang of mixing, looping, cueing etc! Recommend to anyone!!

Prodotto solido, compatto e ben costruito, uno standard!Penso che rappresenti uno standard per il mondo dei controller da DJ, in termini di Affidabilità e semplicità d’utilizzo.Ad oggi (Dicembre 2018), viene fornito con la versione completa di Traktor 3 da scaricare. Il vantaggio dei prodotti “Ufficiali della casa” è che rispetto ad altri controller di altre marche come al solito la configurazione è immediata anche per i neofiti, grazie al “Setup wizard” presente nel Software. Usato solo su macchine Apple (un MacBook 2011 e un Mac mini 2014 – Os Mojave) Funziona perfettamente. à presente una porta per dispositivi IOS che PER IL MOMENTO non è sfruttabile in quanto il controller NON à COMPATIBILE con la versione attuale di Traktor per iPad e iPhone ; tuttavia sul sito della NI dichiarano di essere già al lavoro e promettono un aggiornamento a breve…Per il resto la configurazione base prevede 4 Deck, due standard e due Remix, nuovo “Mixer Fx” che va a “sostituire” (sono ancora presenti ma non controllabili via controller) i quattro pomelli per gli effetti presenti invece nella versione MkII. Le Jog Wheels sono di dimensioni maggiori rispetto all’MKII e hanno un ottimo tocco, ottima anche la possibilità di triggerare i loop o i sample grazie agli otto pad switchabili, da Cue Points delle deck 1-2 a trigger delle deck 3-4, (8 cue points o 4 sample-loops + 4 mute on/off), è presente anche un volume che unisce i due volume fader delle deck 3-4 e ne controlla il volume generale. Penso sia tutto, unica “pecca” i due Pitch Fader che sono veramente un pò troppo piccoli, ma ci si farà l’abitudine. Personalmente gli ho affiancato la mia vecchia Z1 per controllare le deck 3-4 e poterle controllare meglio, se avete già altri prodotti NI ottima anche questa possibilità di integrare altri controller.5 Stelle senza esitazioni!

Llevo un tiempo usando la Traktor Kontrol S2 MK3 y la verdad es que estoy muy contento con la compra. No soy DJ profesional, pero me gusta mucho la música y siempre quise aprender a mezclar mis propias canciones en casa.Lo primero que me gustó es que el diseño es muy limpio y fácil de entender. No está lleno de botones raros que no sabes para qué sirven. Todo está donde tiene que estar y, si nunca has usado una antes, no te sientes perdido. Solo la conectas a tu pc descargas su software gratuito y ya puedes empezar a probar cosas.Los platos son muy suaves y responden bien. También tiene botones para hacer efectos y mezclar las canciones sin que suene mal, lo cual es perfecto si no eres un experto.Otra cosa buena es que viene con el programa Traktor Pro 4, que ya tiene todo lo necesario para empezar a mezclar. No hay que comprar nada más, solo instalarlo y listo.Lo único que no me gusta tanto es que si quieres usarlo con un iPad o iPhone, necesitas comprar un adaptador por separado.En resumen, si estás empezando en el mundo del DJ o simplemente quieres algo divertido para mezclar música en reuniones o practicar por tu cuenta, esta mesa es una muy buena opción. Fácil de usar, se ve bien, y suena genial.
