How to Make A rj45 Ethernet Cable Connector:
1: Put the cable into the stripping port of the rj45 ethernet crimper.
2: Hold the rj45 ethernet crimper and rotate the cable on 360 degrees to strip the cable. (Note: Don’t crimp too much tightly to avoid damaging the internal cable).
3 and 4: You will see eight colors (1-8) wires with copper core after stripping the outer cover of the cable. Then you need to line up the eight colors of the cable according to T568B standard: Orange White, Orange, Green White, Blue, Blue White, Green, Brown White, Brown. (T568B Standard used in home more widely).
5: After line up the eight colors of the cable, you should cut the wires neatly through the cutting port blade of the rj45 ethernet crimper.
6: Please insert the sequential cable into the end of the crystal connector. When inserting the cable into the crystal connector, hold the cable tightly to avoid the wrong sequence.
7 and 8: Insert the network cable with crystal connector into the 8P crimping port. Squeeze the handle hard and release then, pull out the crystal connector.
9: The rj45 Ethernet Cable connector is completed.

Well made, clear instructions, easy to use
I am not a network professional, but have been wiring my own house since the days before the dot com bubble. Occasionally I would break the connectors on some Ethernet cables accidentally, and had to put them away. Finally I decided to buy this network tool kit and try my hands on replacing the connectors.This kit comes in a nice case and contains all the tools for repairing and testing network cables. Those tools look reasonally well made for occasionally use but probably not as daily used tools for a professional. It also has a clear step-by-step instruction booklet. Just closely follow the instructions, and you will get nice results. The only not easy part is to insert the color coded wires into the correct places in a connector. Sometimes a couple of tries are reqired. Once the connector is crimped on, the tester can quickly tell you whether the cable is now good to use.

Good quality, directions confusing
Overall, I’m really happy with this toolkit and highly recommend it. I have a lot of tools, and I can spot garbage pretty quickly. This is not garbage. Well constructed and precise. Actually, I’m super impressed with the cost/quality ratio. At my local Lowes, just the crimper tool was over 2x the cost of this entire kit! Some things to note:1. Have extra wire/cable and connectors and plan on screwing a few up while you learn the tools and get them calibrated for what you are doing.2. I have never needed this tool until a squirrel chewed through a security camera feed CAT5e cable. So, I had to screw up several times to get it right.3. The instructions are mostly good. But… There is a confusing section where it attempts to tell you how to line up the 8 wires in the CAT5e cable. The problem is that the first, and larger image, isn’t the order to follow. You have to look at the smaller image, and ignore the larger one. It would have been great if the user manual editor would have clearly shown the correct order to arrange the individual wires in the larger image.4. Really, this is an AWESOME kit for a great price! Just watch some YouTube videos on how to properly construct a new cable. Build a few cables to get the process down and it’s actually really easy.5. You might consider buying/ordering extra RJ45 connectors as the kit only comes with five, and you might choose to sacrifice those as part of your learning curve.6. Lowes and Home Depot both have bulk CAT5e cable. My local Lowes had it for 9 cents per foot, or $9 per 100 feet. Compare that to pre-packaged for $28 / 100 feet.

Iâm impressed!
Iâm a former electronics technician. This is a great little kit to keep in your car or home if your a Diyâer looking to have an all inclusive kit for a small job or for future upgrades and service. I have all these tools, individually, at my permanent home, in a much higher quality, including a better tester/tracer. I needed something for my summer place, after my router went down and I decided to replace everything in my network because it was slow, old and out dated. I need to trace out and clean up my wiring and move a few clients off of my APâs to Ethernet connections to clear up some wifi traffic. Hopefully this kit will do the trick!Donât get me wrong, itâs a very low cost kit, but Iâm impressed for what you get for the price!. It only has idiot lights for Continuity pin-out testing, but thatâs all you really need as a diyâer.Iâm only giving it 4 stars but If it craps out early than expected Iâll report back! If it last a year Iâll up the rating. But for the price you canât go wrong!

Worked Great for Ethernet Install
We moved into a new construction home that had some ethernet wires in the wall plates, but there were no ends on the wires. This kit worked perfect both from the install and testing side. I wasn’t sure I could do it, but it wound up being a lot easier than I thought. Definitely worth it!

I only needed to use a few of the tools, so I’m limiting my review to those.Used these in rewiring an office’s network.The good:The yellow cutter/stripper tool is really efficient when stripping a large number of wires.The white wire punch down was a life saver in connecting some 50+ network lines to the RJ45 patch panels.The bad:The network line tester was cracked, and only partially worked. It could tell if a line was connected or not, but not indicate for all 8 lines. It did enough to get by but if I had to do a job like this again, I’d get a better line tester.The rest of the tools seem like good quality, but I didn’t need to use them.I’d recommend it if you want something cheap.
