Pretty easy to set up and does just what it is supposed to
I have an old table lamp that was on an Amazon smart plug, but I wanted to be able to dim it (TV watching) and brighten it (reading). First I bought the Levitron smart dimmer plug ($10 more). After several hours of messing around, I could not get it to work. I was unable to get it to link to my wifi, I kept getting messages that the wifi was not strong enough. So I decided to return it and bought this one instead ($10 cheaper). The written directions that came with it were such small print as to be almost unreadable (I have 70-year-old eyes!) and difficult to understand. Maybe they were written by someone translating Chinese into English using Google. Anyway, I managed to download the app, and then tossed the directions aside. I followed the steps in the app, and then opened my Alexa app and followed the instructions there, and presto! everything is linked up and it works like a charm. I can turn it on and off with commands to my Alexa, and dim it to any level 1-100%. I am very pleased.

Works great and does in fact dim as you would expect!
I just want to share I was hesitant about ordering this because of a couple of reviews where for whatever reason they were having issues where it wasn’t dimming smoothly/gradually or not even dimming at all. I just installed both of these and they do in fact dim as you would expect. I’m using them with two lamps with Edison-style dimmable led bulbs and they work correctly (make sure the bulb in your lamp is dimmable). Super easy to install with the smart life app and connect to Google home, they’re a keeper!

Great smart plug with a dimmer
Added that for my living room lamp, then made sure I got dimmable LEDs. Now I can easily switch between different brightness. “Movie time” mode is just one Alexa command away.The only thing I could not figure out with the app, is that if you turn it back on with voice command, it uses the last dimming setting. So if you were in movie time mode, then turned it off, then turned it on again – it remains in the dimmed movie state. Even though in Alexa app the “light on” routine is set to set the correct proffered brightness when tuned on.

Lives up to description
This plug is easy to install and leads you through all the steps. Once installed it does dim the lights. However, it does not do it gradually, but rather in steps. In other words when you switch from 60% brightness to 20% brightness it just makes the switch. It does not gradually dim to that point. Otherwise it would be five stars.

Designed to pair with “Smartlife” App, not Alexa and Google Home
Says it pairs with Google Home and Alexa. Not for me, and I’m not excellent, but above average with technology. Have had a smarthome for 7 or 8 years. On first image, note that there are QR codes labeled Alexa and Google Home. I scanned them. Nothing happened. Then followed the ‘manual pair’ instructions. This manufacturer was not listed among the MANY in the Google Home app. Second image, note that it says pair with ‘SMARTLIFE’ app…what’s that? I don’t need a new app. Need it to pair with existing Google Home. Returned.

So easy to use and program
These plugs are fantastic! We needed an easy way to dim a display shelving unit with Alexa and these plugs are perfect. They’re small, which meant they could be hidden away, and they linked up to our Alexa App with minimal effort. Plus they react instantly when we ask them to perform their duties.We love them, and so do our guests! Definitely recommend these for anyone looking for an easy way to create a dimmable environment.

Buscaba un enchufe que tuviera dimmer para una lámpara led que tengo para mi acuario, no funciona perfecto y suave en la transición del brillo, pero por lo menos si me ayudó a bajar la intensidad de dicha lámpara, que era lo que yo requerÃa. La aplicación para el celular es buena y muy fácil de programar.
