The best wall plate!
Larger than I expected but that’s exactly what I wanted. This wall plate cover for the Google Nest thermostat fits perfectly and covers all the old screw holes. Super snug and clean look!

Sleek design, easy to use when you have all wires required
I was a bit nervous getting this thermostat because I already tried another one which gave me so much trouble during connection and set up process.I have to say this thermostat was very easy to install. Of course make sure you have the correct wired connecting to the ac unit. There is one particular wire C4 I think it was that was giving me trouble but was easy fix.The functionality of the thermostat is great, very easy to use and navigate. I donât find it challenging. The app provides easy and quick access to manage room temperature while awayThe thermostat has very sleek design, very modern. I would have gone with different color but grabbed the one on saleIâve had this for over 6 months and I have no issues.

Plate lifts from wall – but at least it mostly works on my GA01334-US
First â Why is lost one star. It just a piece of plastic with NO stiffening ribs to keep the edges against the wall when attached (e.g. lifting edges). For this price, I would have expected thicker plastic or stiffening ribs on the back side.Kudoâs to the product description â finding a cover plate for this strange Nest thermostat was made easer since they included the secret model number in the description, GA01334-US in my case. Nowhere on my Nest box uses the term âNest Thermostat 2020â. Check out WIKI â they donât call it that either.Now my rant on the whole process â I had an older nest thermostat that Google decided to make obsolete by turning off all phone / web control of the device. So I got this one from my utility company. Turns out that this one needed a 4th wire to run â so I had to pay some bucks to get that done. So much for and âeasy installationâ.My wire is run to a metal junction box, and only 1 of the holes can be aligned with the nest unit, the other holes just go inside junction â so nothing to grip. My original Nest (well built) and came with a plate that I could attach (multiple ways) to the wall and / or box.This whole Nest setup is a major downgrade. One star to Google

Fits like a glove, easy to install
The Nest thermostat fits into the wall plate cover nicely, and it was easy to install (less than five minutes). If you already have the Nest thermostat installed, it’s helpful to take a picture of how the wires connect into the ring behind the thermostat before you remove them.Steps:1) Gently pull the thermostat off the wall – it will snap off of the ring.2) Take a picture of how the wires connect into the ring so you can reconnect them correctly later.3) Push the tab for each wire connector and gently pull the wire out.4) Use a screwdriver to remove the ring from the wall.5) Fit the ring into the wall plate cover, then place back on the wall and screw it in with the same screws you removed in step 4.6) Reinsert the wires into the wire connector using the picture you took earlier as a guide.7) Snap the thermostat back into place. Make sure it’s firmly seated.That’s it. You may see a couple of messages on the thermostat like “provide stable power source”, or “WiFi not connected”, but those went away within 30 seconds and then I could see the thermostat in my Google Home app again.

Covers up the ugly screw holes
Bought this to cover up the old screw holes left by the old thermostat. Works well compatible with my google Nest and easy to install.

This thing works great.. I did have to buy a plate to go under it because it was too small to cover the area that the old one was on but it looks very nice with it.Now…. I am old, very old…. I had to have my grandson to drive about 50 miles to come show me how the thing worked.This is embarrassing but I thought it worked like an Alexa and …. it pays no attention to you when you talk at it.My grandson got a kick out of me trying to talk to it though.

Covers the wall like nobody’s business. This is necessary because every manufacturer ever has made thermostats rectangles, and Google was like, circle yo. But then your wall looks terrible and you don’t want to repaint it. Petrichor to the rescue. Unfortunately my Nest experience was not great and I switched back to a rectangle, but I would recommend this product to anyone who has a circle but needs a rectangle.

It looks great. I works great. The only problem I had was one of the screws that came with this broke as I screwed it into a stud. have a broken screw in the stud where I wanted to mount this created a bit of a headache. Once I sorted it out, and finished the install, I’ve been quite happy with it.
