Cafe-quality espresso in one smooth motion!
Iâm absolutely in love with the Philips Baristina! It combines everything I want in a compact and beautiful machine â grinding, tamping, and brewing all in one seamless motion. The 16-bar pressure delivers rich, velvety espresso with a perfect crema every time. The design is stunning â the natural white finish with the ash wood portafilter looks so elegant on my kitchen counter. Itâs super intuitive to use, easy to clean, and doesnât take up much space. I also appreciate how quiet it is compared to other machines Iâve tried. If you want fresh espresso from whole beans without the hassle, this is 100% worth it. Highly recommended!

Easy to Use, Easy to Clean, A Decent Espresso Machine
Itâs interesting to see some say the coffee tastes watery and no options for choosing different grinding size on this espresso machine. This espresso machine makes 3 types of coffee: Espresso, Double Shot and Lungo (about 6.5 Oz for a lungo).I think before you buy any espresso machine you need to know yourself if you are the snub type or used to be a barista or want to be a future professional barista to make all kinds of varieties of coffee from this machine then this machine is way too simple for you. This machine is best for using medium roast espresso beans. Once you get it set up, let it do the work. I always get a nice espresso with creama on top. I have a separate milk frother in a stainless steel jar so I froth the milk at the same time this espresso machine is brewing.I like the simple design of this machine. And I wonât spend a ton of money to get a fancier machine since all I want is a cup of espresso or double shot or lungo quickly in the morning. This machine is easy to clean and maintain and it makes a decent cup of coffee without me having to do some manual work to get it work.I still use my beloved stainless steel Moka pot sometimes. Never doubt the wisdom of generations of Italians since most families in Italy use Moka pot for their espresso. This machine helps me save time some days from watching it cook on the stove like a Moka pot does and I am not interested in spending lots of time choosing different grinding size or manually tamping the grounds everyday or taking time to wash gazillion parts of accessories like from some machines.

Cute, small, effective- tbd on durability and quality
This espresso machine has been great so far! It does everything (besides milk steaming/frothing), and is pretty automatic. I bought it for my mom who likes espresso drinks, but isn’t that savvy about making them, and doesn’t want a machine with too much room for error/skill involved. This machine is perfect for that, as it grinds and tamps the coffee and produces espresso. I’m giving her a separate milk frother too for milk-based drinks (latte’s), and I’ll update this after I hear her thoughts. In general, I’m hesitant about machines with the grinder built in since it can be hard (or impossible) to clean, and I worry about it becoming non-functioning due to one part and not the whole espresso set up, but I’ll have to see how long this lasts for. It is super cute and small, perfect for keeping on the counter in a small kitchen. âUpdate: my mom is obsessed with this now, and packed away her drip coffee machine. She says she doesnât need cream/milk or anything with the espresso or longo, and got a bit over caffeinated the first few days with the ease of making a coffee and how tasty it was. Iâm now jealous of her machine (I have a very nice espresso machine but it takes a bit more time/effort than this) and would love one of these for my office- itâs so simple, it would be hard for any officemates to mess it up.

Disappointing experience despite promising design
I was really looking forward to trying the Baristina. The design seemed well thought-out â compact, sleek, and marketed as a clean, automated way to make espresso. As someone who previously owned a traditional espresso machine but gave it up due to space constraints, the Baristinaâs small footprint was a major selling point.Unfortunately, the experience fell far short. The machine struggles to properly capture and grind whole beans, and even when it does, the espresso comes out watery â even when using the strongest setting. There also appears to be a slight leak in the espresso bean holder, which might indicate that my unit is defective.Either way, this was a major disappointment and Iâm returning it. Based on my experience, I wouldnât recommend the Baristina.

Great coffee machine with minor flaws
This coffee maker brews great-tasting coffee and is very easy to use. The design is sleek and modern, and it heats up quickly. I really enjoy the convenience and quality of each cup.The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the water tank is a bit small and needs frequent refilling. Also, it can be a little noisy during brewing.Overall, itâs a great value for the price and a solid choice for daily coffee lovers!

Fresh coffee every morning.
I love how quick and easy this machine is to use. Just add beans and water, swipe the handle, and you get a fresh cup of coffee in under a minute. The design is beautiful and compact â perfect for my kitchen. The coffee tastes great, and the built-in grinder is surprisingly quiet. Itâs not a café-level espresso, but itâs perfect for everyday use. Very happy with this purchase!

Easy to use and makes a great cup!
BIG bang for the buck. HUGE.After three + years struggling with the fussiness of a JURA machine, this baby is a luxury in its simplicity and one 10% of the cost.Start it up, coffee grinds, viola. Espresso tastes as good as the quality of the beans that you have purchased.Great value for the money. Heat level is fine. Good looking machine that simple to clean.

Coffee comes out taste great, make sure to pick the beans you like to enjoy. The machine itself it’s easy and good to use. Every coffee comes out with the same stable quality. Some downside for the machine imo would be the coffee grind holder is abit smaller, can only hold about 3 grinds, ie 1 double and 1 single. So you have to change it every cup.Overall it’s a very nice machine for beginners and lazy people like me.

Having owned a Saeco all-in-one machine previously, I was looking for something that reques less maintenance and less cleanup. This one works beautifully in both respects. The only downside, if any, is after the machine has been used, grounds of coffee eventually sprinkle down to the counter, requiring a quick clean up. Potherwise, this machinme gets five stars!
