Perfect Gift for a Music-Loving Friend!
Got this podcast equipment bundle as a gift for a friend whoâs really into music and recording, and he absolutely loved it! The setup was pretty straightforward, and the sound quality is surprisingly good for the price. Itâs got everything he needed to get started, from mics to the mixer. Great value and a solid starter kit for any aspiring content creator or musician.

Surprisingly high quality
I was pleasantly surprised at the high sound quality and overall high performance this little unit puts out. I guess I was expecting more of a childrenâs toy. However this is a great multi functional piece of sound equipment that can really enhance vocal podcasting and other similar sound related tasks. Geared more towards live the buttons are well placed and sized just right to prevent on air mistakes. Getting the hole thing up and running is very easy. Almost straight out of the box if you do not want to add your own customizations to it. Those customizations are fairly easy and straightforward to get done too. A lot more options than I was expecting. The only thing I wish it came with more options of sound in;its. Itâs standard but a few more options would increase its diversity and usability quite a lot.

Found the missing manual for you.
The quick start up document in the box says to refer to the manual, as does the Amazon website listing, but nowhere does it state where the manual is. It is not in the box. There is no link on Amazon, and if you read the side of the box it gives the URL site of the manufacturer, but the “G1” product does not even appear on that website, as the “G10” is their current product, and there is no G1 manual to download. This is consistent with every retailer saying to refer to a document that didn’t seem to even exist.After a lot of searching I finally located it. Unfortunately Amazon reviews do not permit putting in external links to outside websites so a search string will have to do. If you want this document then pull up google and search for the following inside the brackets : [“Tenlamp G1 Sound Card User Manual” site:manuals.plus]. That manual will have more information about the device and give you a little more information about the setup and configuration.The system didn’t start when received and I needed to plug in the USB-C port to charge the battery up before first use. Confusingly the second time I needed to do the same, but that probably has to do with the power switch issue(*) below. Note that many of the configurations for using this require plugging the USB-C port into other devices that will not charge the station so you will need to charge it up first and use it on battery power for the duration of the session.My power button* is generally unreliable as I need to press it many times to get it to switch on/off. But once you get used to looking at the lights as you push the button multiple times you will learn when it is actually turned off. When turned on, I see the Bluetooth lite flashing then I know it is on, but I’m not sure what it looks like if something in connected with bt. There are a lot of features I have not even tried yet.A number of times I turned it on and got some feedback right away, probably due to the ear pods being in too close in proximity to the microphone, and a few times some kind of thumping periodic feedback, which my not being an audio engineer, I have no idea what caused that but it seemed to resolve on its own. The earbuds did not want to stay in my ears, but that is nothing new, so I grabbed a set of headphones with an integrated microphone and that seemed to work as both a monitor and a microphone.I use Linux for my workstation, and when I plug the USB-C into the computer it shows up (lsusb) as a device labeled “Focusrite-Novation RemoteSL + ZeroSL”. I still have a lot of testing to do to get some podcast/YouTube software to work with it but I am up and running.Bottom line: it has some quirks but I can probably work around them. I need to work through the manual and try the various setups to see what works for me. I have many use-cases to consider for board meetings, podcasts, YouTube, etc, and I think it will be helpful for all these once I am more confident in what I am doing.

For the price? AWESOME
I wish you could control the 2 mics independently (which is my only gripe), but otherwise this thing is totally worth it for $40!!!I bought it to do some quick guitar recordings with one mic set up to record the guitar and the other to record the music I was listening to. I could have set it up other ways, but I was trying to avoid needing a monitor of some sort. Long story short, this thing is totally worth the price and would be super awesome if you were just recording podcast conversations and such!

Good starter kit
I’ve giving this a 5 star based on what it is. The kit comes with 2 microphones, 2 stands, 2 XLR to 3.5mm,a usbc to usb c/usb and the mixer itself. Everything came in a nice box with a foam insert. The box also had an instruction and information card.As far as function, it works. It’s very simple plug and play. Testing on a computer, drivers installed easily and I could pick it as a microphone source. It did set itself as an audio playback so I had to change that back to my regular mixer. Volume and all the buttons work. When monitoring, pushing the buttons has audio for example “bluetooth on”. The voice does have an Asian accent. Mic quality was surprising good. I’d say it’s just an average dynamic microphone, but it’s not a bad or cheap sounding type of mic. After playing around a bit, output sound on my computer was good.I also tested it plugging into my phone through usb c. Worked better than the computer in my opinion. You can also play music and adjust that volume with the other dial. Turning on ducking mutes the music. Recording on the phone worked well and the audio was nice and clear indoors.The dials work well. The sliders feel a bit cheap but not like they would break. The voice changer but works well with 4 voices, it’s a little entertaining. There’s 3 levels of denoise but I can’t hear a difference. The auto tune button is a bit weird as it kept turning reverb on. It kind of works but is just gimmicky. I also tested this out with my better dynamic mic and my condenser with phantom power and it works fine. I don’t have any instruments to plug in but I have no doubt they’d work. Bluetooth works well and the audio playback from something like music is a lot better than through usb.Overall, you get quite a bit if you’re starting out. It would be a decent start for any audio recording. I still prefer my current setup but this is a nice and easy setup and use kit.
