I’m a mom and I use this set to record my podcast while my baby naps. Everything came ready to plug in and use, so I didn’t have to be tech-savvy. The sound quality is clear and the mixer makes my voice sound more professional without extra effort. I also use it for videos and live streams. It’s compact, easy to store, and perfect if you work from home or have limited space.

Very useful audio mixer
This thing is a mixed bag for me. It’s a little wonky. The headphones it came with sound horrible, and there are some weird workflows you have to follow, but overall – this is exactly what I wanted. The auto quality is very good. The controls and buttons are smooth and work very well. The cable quality is good, the mic is surprisingly good. The options are endless and useful. The Bluetooth and other IOs and Android connectivity is not something I would have sought out, but is super helpful to have. I appreciate the USB C options and the onboard battery. I would give this 5 stars if the buttons and labels were industry and not so confusing. You have to pull out the documentation to reference the description with its function.

This is way better than I thought it would be
I have a background in pro video and audio recording equipment and have recorded video programs in my home studio, using semi-pro equipment. I have disassembled the studio but was starting to get interested in doing podcasts. I didn’t want to take up the room again for the mixing board, various microphones and all of the associated equipment to get great sound. I saw this and ordered it, wondering what kind of quality that I could possibly get at this price point. Surprisingly, I got a lot. This podcast bundle, by Cryosurf, tries to get you into the entire setup, that is, except for the computer, phone or tablet that establishes the internet connection, or to be able to record, if you’re not going to livestream. I received the compact style mixing board that to me, looks like a toy. It’s all plastic with lots of lights. I was hoping that the money was really in the electronics, and it was. The little screen angles up and shows you the volume of the various voice, effects, reverb and etc. The knobs, big or small, are lightweight and not stepped. The sliders don’t feel real smooth, but it all works well. It has three settings for the Denoise button, which is various noise reduction functions, that takes the background noise out of your mix, and several different reverb effects, and length and depth can be adjusted by several of the knobs. There are 12 different sound effect buttons that add, for example, laughter, applause and other sounds that might be of interest to some. If you have music playing through one of the LINE IN jacks, the Ducking button will automatically lower the music to a quieter level when you start speaking. There is a voice changer that makes you sound like a generic male, woman, baby, or uncle, with a low, deep voice. Those can all be manipulated with the reverb and tone controls for different effects. I don’t play a musical instrument or sing, but for those who do, there are many controls that can make you sound better than might be. Auto-Tune looks interesting, and The Follow Singing (BGM) function allows you to hear the original track while you sing during a live performance, but your audience will only hear the instrumental and your voice. Other controls for pitch, speed and others. This board is like a Swiss army knife, in that it has so many tools in such a small package. And, after testing, it does them all pretty good. It even has a built-in 48v phantom power for condenser microphones, which I was not able to test. Beginners and intermediate podcasters could do a lot worse for more money. It also came with an assortment of various connector cables, a spring microphone arm that clamps to a desk and a microphone that looks like a condenser but isn’t, with a pop filter. The supplied microphone does a good job of getting you started but something like a AT-2020 condenser would be a huge step up. With this package, you can do podcasting and not be ashamed with the sound quality, in the least. The manual that comes with it is good at explaining the various features and effects, and how to use them, and it has excellent illustrations, including how to easily connect up to your computer or phone(s), as it does show you how to connect two at a time. The board is powered by charging it up with a USB-C cable and a phone charger, which makes it very portable, or wired directly to the connected charger. Around the back, there are inputs for two microphones, headphones, an XLR, Instrument input, line in Live 1 and Live 2, OTG (USB-C) and USB-C DC 5 volt in, for power. There was no RF interference, and I experienced no latency listening through headphones or monitors. Don’t be put off by the toy-like feel and appearance, this does a good job with the sound and works with Windows, iOS and android. A good value.
