Wonderful for Astro A40 TR and PS5 users!
This is a specific example, but maybe someone out there is in the same situation, so this may only be applicable to very few people.I had the Astro branded version of this for my PS5, and it worked great, but that thing got so dang hot I literally could barely touch it. I added heat sinks to it and had a blower fan go across us and that made kept it significantly cooler, but a lot of setup for that piece of hardware. Over time I think it mostly cooked itself to death, it worked, but only barely and the audio would consistently âflickerâ in and out. I purchased this as a replacement and worked like a charm as well as all my issues went away, yet it does get hot, but not nearly as bad, I can at least touch the thing after extended use.Highly recommend this over the Astro one, unless theyâve addressed the heat issue, this just feels safer.

WOW!! Okay, so I had this other contraption that allowed you to hook up the composite video cables (Red, Yellow, White) and covert it to HDMI. With the PS2 it looked like garbage. Then I found this one on-line and read the reviews and they all said it was great. So, I figured, for the price, I’ll try. WOW. Amazing. The PS2 looked great on my 1080p TV!!!!! I was able to play my SOCOM: Navy Seals game which I’ve been wanting to play ever since I started watching the “Seal Team” show. Now I’m thinking of ALL the PS2 games I can play again.The only thing I question is that the instructions and the box says its for the PS2 AND PS3. But the PS3 is already HDMI native. So, I don’t understand how and why you would use this module for the PS3. I’m just using it for the PS2 so I still gave it 5 stars.

Tight fit to PS2, have to plug the plug into a power supply
At first it didn’t work, and I thought Oh no the reviews that said it didn’t work for PS2 were right. But, then I plugged in the power supply to the plug. The instructions didn’t seem to mention that, or I missed it. Then I had to wiggle the plug into the back of the PS2, because it was a tight fit. Then it worked great. 4 stars for not highlighting that the plug has to have a power cord plugged into the HDMI adapter plug. The older PS2 plug with its three RCA cables, was so loose that it kept falling out. LOVE this HDMI adaptor, just need better instructions.

Update! Messed with some settings and got an one branded HDMI and it worked great on my own roku tv. Looks way better now and I’m having a blast!

It works amazing. It plugs right into the original PS2 port, the visual and sound transfer are perfect. It was easy enough to set up(needed the USB power to run it,) and is cheaper than some options out there.
