Good price, but ….
Good product at a good price, but note that Intuit is now a stickler about the “New Subscribers Only”. I cannot use this license string to extend my subscription. I have done this in the past with no issue – but no more. I think I will have to let my existing subscription expire, create a new account with a new email address, use this license to activate it, and then import all my data to the new account. Not the seller’s fault, but I am sorry I bought this and would not recommend it unless you are actually a new subscriber.

Doesn’t work
I was a Quicken user before switching to Mint and then they killed Mint. Went back to Quicken and this version isn’t remotely similar to what I recall using. The program is unusable. Nothing is accurate when downloading transactions. It can’t even get my checking account correct. So now I use Rocket and it is back to being easy. Possibly some of my angst is due to user error on my part, but in me experience with several budgeting/financial tracking software, this version of Quicken is the worst. Purchase at your own risk.

Like Blaine’s review, I can confirm that “Quicken Premier Classic for New Subscribers” works even if you’re already a subscriber. Just wait until your subscription ends, then go to Help > Enter Activation Code and input the code from the code redemption email. For me it activated without a hitch.I’ve been using Quicken for nearly 30 years, and while it’s had its ups and downs, I don’t mind the current state of the Mac version. Initially, it lacked some needed functionality, but it quickly gained enough features for me to switch from the Windows version. It’s also much better than the Windows versionânot just because I prefer Mac apps in general, but it’s also more polished and feels more responsive, probably because it’s not burdened by legacy code.There are few options for Mac financial software that store data locally, and Quicken Classic fits the bill for me.

Quicken Purchasing issues buyer beware.
Installation was terrible.Support hours are not listed on the support page.Had to look up the support hours on the internet.Purchasing notes listed do not note anything about being a previous user, may result in purchasing the incorrect software. This places a burden on Amazon which should not be the case. There should be notes noted at the time of purchase if you are a previous user, please review your choices as if you were a previous user with an expired account the account is still listed as a current user and not a new user, which causes issues with the installation process. My account was already closed and expired for 6 months. They do not offer any further discounts as you are still listed as a user of the product even though you are not.

Worked for a renewal. The product randomly assigns transactions to whatever account it feel like. Reconciliation reports work until they don’t. Some account balances are wrong despite having all the transaction accounted for. Unfortunately quicken has become a necessary evil if you want to connect directly to you institutions. The application itself is very slow in responding. The window won’t even resize. Support is a joke.

Not valid to renew a subscription
I got a great deal on this over Black Friday and purchased it since other reviewers said they used it to renew their subscriptions. I tried to activate this month (Jan 2025) and was blocked.It seems that Quicken does not allow “New Subscriber” codes to be used to extend a subscription. Worse, despite the message in the activation window, they refused to refund or exchange my subscription and referred me back to Amazon (who lists this as non returnable.)Quicken is getting very expensive with their annual subscription and the product is still slow.

this upgrade has been an absolute nightmare
just wanna let you know that this upgrade was not seamless. Iâve lost three years of data. I canât figure out how to recover. Iâm so pissed off at quicken and their products that I wish I could throw this whole thing into the fireplace and burn it and never use it again. This product has been so buggy over the last 20 years that Iâm embarrassed to admit that Iâve used it.
