Flawless Dual-Monitor Setup for Work & Play
I purchased two of these Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 monitors for my home office, and they’ve exceeded every expectation. The 4K clarity is stunning whether I’m coding, writing documents, or gaming – text appears razor-sharp and colors pop with the Quantum Matrix technology. The 144Hz refresh rate makes everything buttery smooth, especially when gaming after hours. What impresses me most is their versatility: • Productivity powerhouse with ample screen real estate • Gaming beast with 1ms response and FreeSync Premium Pro • Stellar HDR performance for media consumptionThe slim bezels create an immersive dual-screen experience, and the smart features add convenience. After months of daily use across work and entertainment, I’ve had zero regrets – just consistent, premium performance. For professionals who game or creatives needing color accuracy, these are worth every penny.

    Awesome monitor
Playing racing games at around 100 to 144 fps, 4k with ultra details is sweet! System only has a 7900xt in it, so that’s all she push. Big visual difference the 144hz over my old 60hz monitor has. Speakers are awesome as well. Yes the hub interface is annoying and a little sluggish and if you happen to use it last a TV and you have turned the TV off then your computer on you will have to change the input. Doesn’t automatically detect the inputs. Had 1 issue where it failed to display properly when I turned it on, had to unplug and plug the display cable back in. I wish it was just a true gaming monitor and not try to be both that and a TV. Sure it’s not an OLED screen, but paid half as much for it and the colors and games look awesome and in the end that’s what matters to me. Baldurs Gate 2 looks amazing on it.

DO NOT BUY. Smart hub is stupid.
The picture is beautiful. Everything else is garbage. It has a “Smart Hub” that is stupid, both in conception and execution.. It has a ton of useless apps. Apps on a monitor ! This is not a cell phone, it is a monitor and the apps are useless.. And the Smart Hub can not remember what it is doing. When the computer goes to screen saver, the monitor shuts down and has to be restarted manually. The display-port is also flawed is some way. When the computer went to sleep, the DP disconnected and could not be restarted. The only to bet it back was to reboot the computer. Samsung’s response was that the cable was bad so they sent me a new POWER cable to replace to DP cable. Ten days wasted to delay the possibility of return to piece of junk.I delayed returning because of Amazon slow walking of return and now the return window is closed or I would return this junk. DO NOT BUY.

Solid productivity display for software developer
I’m using this as my desk monitor at work. I’ve got a m3 macbook pro, connecting to this monitor via usb-c to 2.1 display port cable. My use case is mostly text based activities such as writing code and doing research. I don’t need it for video or photo editing, other than text I’m mostly looking at graphs and analytics reporting. The color, contrast, brightness and black levels are solid. Text is very clear and readable at the highest resolution with space for all of my windows to be displayed concurrently. Overall I’m very satisfied with this as a large monitor.

    Update: Its becoming a nightmare
Update: This monitor has turned into a nightmare of sorts. The remote is unreliable at best, as sometimes it won’t work at all. The screen will randomly take on a green color, which can only be fixed by literally unplugging the monitor. I have had to do this multiple times so far. To make things worse, I have actually had the smart hub OS freeze on me as well, requiring the same hard reset approach. Samsung, you need to fix this ASAP with a firmware update. This is unacceptable. When the Samsung Neo G7 43″ went on sale, I decided to take a chance with it. It’s main competitor in the 43″ VA panel space is Gigabyte’s FV43U, which was largely liked back when it came out around 2 years ago.I went in with low expectations, but to my surprise the screen looks amazing. There were some scenes I looked at that looked better than my Alienware 34″ QD-OLED monitor. I am impressed. The GOOD:-Beautiful and Vibrant VA Panel-Well Built-Mini-LED Backlighting-Great Gaming Experience-Great Contrast ratio + Above Average Brightness Levels. The Meh:- Motion blur. It’s definitely there, but you really don’t notice it much when gaming or watching content. Sweet spot for this panel seems to be 120hz with fastest response rate selected.- The Remote is not designed well for computer monitor usage, also feels cheap. The UGLY:- The TV settings and “Smart HUB” are atrocious. It is so bad, that its probably the biggest reason to avoid these Samsung “smart” displays. The layout is convoluted and unnecessary for use as a computer monitor, as a TV it seems ok-ish. Samsung really should have given the option to have a traditional OSD, much like the Gigabyte FV43U. The image presets are incredibly limited as well. Its less bad if you use only one input and leave it that way, but you will still be forced to go through the hub for most things, and you will NOT like it.If Samsung is committed to this line, I hope they roll out an update that can revamp the current monitor “smart hub”/OS, otherwise expect it to be the worst part about this monitor.

I was first looking for a computer monitor to use my gaming consoles on them. Why a monitor? Because I didn’t care about the image processing or the advanced smart features of a full fledged television. I know Samsung generally make good products and I knew I was buying something good. Sure, some reviews state that there are better screens with more features out there, but I like the fact that the picture quality on this one is pretty close to the OLED, without the huge price tag. Overall, I am pretty satisfied with the aesthetic of the screen (love the sci-fi look with the white logo behind it), the picture quality is great, the smart features are enough without being intrusive and I am happy about this purchase. The size surprised me a bit, it’s roughly the same size as a full sized poster on a wall, that is 24 by 36 inches. The material doesn’t feel cheap and is light enough, I love the contrast and brightness and in spite of some claims, there is a RGB light at the bottom, it’s two small LED lights that can react to the content being shown on the screen, you just need to enable it manually. So far, it detects my Switch being turned on and my Xbox Series X and can also swap between them if needed. The setup with the SmartThings App was okay, I had a few glitches but it was easier than to manually input everything. The speaker is kinda weak but it works well enough for a small room. The remote is kinda small and feel robust enough, but I would be careful with it. I see this as a kind of hybrid between a smart tv and a computer monitor. I haven’t use my MacBook with it, but I tried to Airplay with my iPhone and it works pretty well. I can’t speak to the reported ghosting or input lag while using it as a computer monitor, so far. I would say it’s a pretty solid buy if you read about its specs first. I know OLED is the best of the best in term of picture quality, but mini-led is great for me, it reminds me of the 12.9 inches iPad Pro XDR display that also use mini-leds. One of the reason I chose this one over the other options is the included speaker, cause I don’t intend to use a dedicated one yet and I didn’t want to game exclusively using a headset. The 43 inches Samsung Odyssey NEO G7 is a great screen. Don’t be shy, it’s a good buy!

I use this monitor for work and replaced three separate monitors. My desk is so much cleaner and this monitor has great image and real-estate space for all my windows using the windows snap feature. Comes with a remote and has smart features. Thr monitor does not rotate but it does tilt.

If you are a gamer or have one living in your house that you want to be nice to, THIS IS THE ONE THEY WANT.This is the biggest screen currently being made that has a Displayport connection. It’s the only way to reliably get above 60 frames per second, and this unit does it very well. It can be used as a TV, also….I understand there are ‘smart’ options available with this machine. My experience using it for the first time involved a setup process including WIFI. I never did allow it to connect to wifi, and it never asked me again after the first time.
