Very suitable for ps5
I received a small white shell with the official PS logo on the front, which looks very suitable for PS5. You can use it by plugging it into the front USB-C port without any additional operation.Advantages: High-speed transmission greatly saves waiting time. Easy to use: Plug it in and it can be used. PS4 games can be run directly, and PS5 games can only be stored as backups. Durable protection: IP65 dust and water resistance, drop resistance, and the shell is protected by soft rubber, which is very suitable for carrying.Disadvantages: PS5 games cannot be run directly. When you want to play, you need to copy them back to the built-in SSD to run them.The cables are relatively scarce, and they are connected to the front of the PS5, so they cannot be placed flat on the table.In summary, if you have enough budget and like the style consistent with the PS5, it is a good choice.

Near 1GB/s up and down!
The 1TB SSD drive has excellent performance. Using a short USB-C to USB-C connection it has a read speed of 1048MB/s and 973MB write speed. Fit and finish is typical SanDisk quality.

Works Very Well on M4 Mac Mini
I set this up as a Time Machine drive for an M4 Mac Mini. I reformatted using APFS. This is easily the fastest full back up that I’ve ever done. Minutes instead of hours. The form factor is good even if I am not using it for a PlayStation. The included USB-C cord is super short but that’s not an issue for me.

USB 3.0? Nowhere near the potential top speed claimed. Suspect caching.
The packaging and included cabling are great, and the build quality of the SSD itself are not in question here. That is top notch. However, across many USB3.x ports and cables I found that under load the SSD never peaked past ~5gbps (~500MB/s) which leads me to believe this might just be a USB *3.0* device. My guess is that there may be some caching on a faster device elsewhere if used with a PS5, which is definitely dishonest when it comes to the rated speed because that top speed is going to depend on how full the cache is and whether you are hitting it.

Bought this as PS5 was running out of space and didn’t want to delete games, very fast transfer rate.. from PS5 to this, not tried the other way but would assume of similar speeds.
