Excellent camera, I keep it with me everyday.
This camera is by far my favorite toy. It works so well, it’s so versatile. It does all sorts of things that I could have never even imagined I could do. I have a lot of fun just experimenting with it from time to time. I have gotten some unforgettable shots with it. I haven’t even really used its waterproof abilities. But I have used it time lapse, dash cam, 1080p 60 frames per second, 4K, everything. It is a lot of fun. You can attach it to so many things with all the accessories that they give you. There’s also a ton more accessories out there that just work with it because it’s a pretty common adapter that it connects by. I use it on a selfie stick, as well as on a tripod. I have the app on my phone so that I can remotely control it, or remotely save a video. That part isn’t 100% smooth in my opinion. It really doesn’t like to work over Wi-Fi. I mean yes it works, but I will say it’s a little slow at times. I don’t know if I’m getting the same quality I guess. I’d rather just record it on the camera and then review it on my computer personally. It comes with this little watch sort of thing that allows you to remotely turn the camera off, as well as start and stop recording, or take a picture I suddenly forget what the other button does. I know you cannot turn the camera on with the watch. It needs to be on in order for the watch to talk to it. But it’s still a pretty cool feature. if you’re looking for an action camera this is one you should definitely consider. GoPros are sweet, but they are a bit expensive. This is a much better price point.

Purchased this to replace my SJCAM M10 which went all foggy.PROs:* Great fisheye correction for PHOTOS only* Remote control watch is very useful* GYRO works well in bright light* Field of view correction is handy (like fixed zoom positions)* audio is fine when not using the waterproof housing. didn’t need an extra mic.* menus are extensive yet orderly. Touchscreen works well.CONs:* fisheye distortion for VIDEO is only SLIGHTLY corrected. You will still see curved architecture lines, accentuated by camera movement.* GYRO blurs motion in dusk or interior shots – making videos unwatchable if there is subject or camera motioin.* menu settings and Time-date reset when you remove or replace batteries.* batteries are exclusive to this camera. Others won’t fit.* lens protrudes 1mm beyond its protective edge ring. it will likely scratch if you lose the lens cap. You WILL lose the lens cap!

Solid camera that comes with a bunch of cool stuff!
So far after unboxing this product I’m very happy! As you can see in the attached video you receive quite a lot with the camera. The actual camera feels great and I’m impressed with the build. I know that might sound silly, but it’s common for low cost action cameras to feel cheap and flimsy. This is NOT THE CASE with this camera at all. The camera has a nice rubber texture and feels solid. The accessories that come with the camera are all nice, but do feel like most lower quality accessories. I’m not putting them down, just stating the facts so you know what you get. These are basically like the ones you get with any accessory kit. That being said, there is a very nice thing about these accessories…. they are all included!I’m super stoked to test this camera out and start using the wrist based remote that comes with the kit. I’m an avid GoPro user so I’ll be able to offer you a very good review on how this camera compares. So far so good with the SJCAM SJ6! I’m very happy with what I have seen so far and have high hopes for the video quality 🙂

Fits Hero5 Black with “The Frame”
While not a perfect fit, the Hero5 Black with “The Frame” fits snugly (with a small bulge near the mount point) which is EXACTLY what I was looking for. I don’t think I’d put any other mounting gear in this case, however for my intended use (something to hold an extra camera in my gear bag without it getting scratched) this is EXACTLY what I needed.While it would have been nice to have it unbranded I’m OK with it saying SJCAM and for this price I cannot complain at all! Shipping was extremely fast and the build quality is superb for this price point.

Quality, compact action camera
I bought this to take on vacation in June to replace an older, cheaper action camera. I took a few test shots and videos with this camera and it seems to do a great job! Nice pics and video.

fantastic gopro substitute
I have had gopros and for the cost savings I would not recommend another camera. I have already referred two of my friends to this brand as well as purchased a back up camera. Fantastic alternative to a gopro. I would recommend to anyone!
